The value for money was exceptional! We had a whole 2 bed/ 2 bathroom apartment and paid less than some small rooms in other hotels. The location was amazingly close to the main town and the apartment felt like a second property! It had high ceilings, was very light and airy and had a nice modern touch without losing some of it's original character. It was amazingly spacious you could swing a cat around in each room (please don't actually do this!). The hotel is right next to the river so we had fantastic views. Amazingly for a summer getaway! We'll definitely be staying here again.

We didn't like that we couldn't stay for longer! Our time was short but fantastic.

Historical Gravesend - a beautiful hotel with fantastic views over the river. Very well appointed apartment with fridge, cooker, dishwasher etc. very comfortable room with sofas and table. Great value for money. There was a murmeration of starlings which landed in the horse chestnut outside our window!

The handle for the temperature control in the shower was stiff and didn’t see to be working as the water was ‘hot’ only. However the shower itself and the ensuite bathroom was splendid. It was hot in the apartmet but most of the windows opened letting in a pleasant breeze which helped. I think if the bedrooms had bedside lights rather than just overhead it would be perfect.

I booked it based on my work, which is less than 1 min away. But it is nice to be able to see the river, ships and sunset from the window.

I stayed in a few rooms, some of the rooms had a few minor issues, usually bathroom related i.e., one room the shower temp could not be changed but it was an ok temp. And some rooms it was hard not to soak the floor due to the water pressure.

The wonderful scenery of the flat. We enjoyed watching the boats go by. Again all the boats lit up when dark. The lounge/ kitchen was pleasant.

The cooker we never worked out, apart from when my grandson came . We asked for someone to show us, but the young lady couldn't do it. Just put instructions on the wall. We are in our 80s, so forgot how my grandson did it We did find the microwave useful, but our experience was great !

I had always wanted to stay here when previously visited, as it is a lovely house on the Thames bank. Staff was nice, the room clean nice and comfortable. The inside matched the impression the front gives. There was paid entertainment and the house's own fireworks. I did not attend the paid entertainment but had a nice meal in the bar/restaurant which was packed mainly with nice friendly locals. I really enjoyed it and the fireworks afterwards were some of the best I had ever seen. It was great experience.

My room was not quiet because of the paid party which very wild and was definitely very loud going late into the night if not until after midnight. I did not want to go down to reception to complain, so after a while, I went to sleep with the thumping music and noise. Morning was a bit chaotic. I was the only one for breakfast at 8, so the chef had to come in from the river bank. If I had known that breakfast would be so much trouble I would not have bought breakfast. Anyhow, I enjoyed my breakfast in the end. Thanks chef!

I loved the fact it had self-catering apartments, this was the reason I chose to stay here! When I arrived the staff were very good, they were clearly busy setting up for an event that was taking place the next day, but someone stopped what they were doing immediately to check me in and didn’t try to rush me to get back to it. The room was great and I wasn’t disturbed by housekeeping on a regular basis, instead fresh linens and toiletries were left outside my door each morning. I stayed during the two day heatwave, but wasn’t affected by it too much as the room was very comfortable in the heat with a fan already available without having to ask for one from Reception. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable break.

The event they were preparing for when I arrived was very loud and lasted from lunchtime until 10pm. It meant I had to close my windows in the middle of Summer and still couldn’t heard the telly at full volume. There was some water damage to some appliances in the bathroom and kitchen. I made a cup of tea when I arrived but had to throw it out and didn’t make any more during my time as the water damage to the kettle made it undrinkable. The description of the room said it had a balcony overlooking there river, I was very disappointed to find that wasn’t true as it was one of the reasons I booked it.

Visiting a friend in Gravesend and stayed at the Clarendon Royal Hotel for 2 nights. A 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel which also has a restaurant on site. I had booked a single which was comfortable and clean, though a little warm even with the provided fan - aside from installing aircon for the two or three days it's properly hot in the UK there's not much they can do about that.

Our stay in the hotel was amazing. The staff was very helpful. The rooms, bathroom was very clean. Bed very comfortable. I really like all the facilities in the room especially kettle that in the morning I can do fast tea and even microwave + fridge hiddden in wardrobe :) Very nice location, close to promanade and to all shops (5min. walk). Amazing

The room was just a little too hot but we open the window and we made very fast nice breeze.

great room, clean, well set out. good location. lovely breakfast. we had a 2 bed apartment, 2 bathrooms. clean tidy and good facilities.

At first too hot. Visit in December when there was snow but heaters on max and was like a sauna. luckily we could control. breakfast was lovely but we weren’t given menu or asked what we wanted but we’re served full English without asking how we wanted eggs, if we were vegetarian or allergies. we were waiting to ask what we wanted then breakfast was served.

We love the apartment at this place, including having the kitchen, and our son loves the terrace with view of the river, it makes a visit to family in the area more special. The staff are great. The bar has been improving steadily over the last 10 years and the food and drink in there, and atmosphere, and great these days.

We book the apartments largely to have a kitchen but unfortunately they aren't well stocked . . . there isn't much cutlery and other basic kitchen essentials (tea towels, small amount of washing up liquid and cloths). That's been improving over the years but is still limited. Really the kitchen should provide the hardware you'd need to eat/cook for 4-6 people, sometimes we eat outside restaurant hours. There is meagre cutlery even for ordering food in outside hours.
