It's set in a beautiful part of the world and a really pleasant village. The staff were amazing - very friendly. The rooms were really clean indeed and freshened each day. You must try the Norfolk Adder cider if you like cider. It's very nice indeed from the draught. Food was fantastic. Freshly cooked and served on hot plates which ch is not something you get everywhere and mak s w difference. I will return for sure whenever I am in the area.

Honestly couldn't fault anything

The Olde Windmill is a stunning oldie worldy pub, so many things to wonder their history. The food was excellent for all six days we were there. Varied menu and the lady went out of her way to get me some plain fish when I felt poory. The maids kept the rooms well stocked with beautiful soft towels, teas, coffees and very efficient cleaning. Bar staff and all employees friendly, helpful and happy. Well done Olde Windmill, 5* we will definately be back

Just one point. Although clean the carpet was terribly stained. This could give customers the wrong idea of the first impression of an excellent hotel.

The room itself was really good overall-the bed in particular was so comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. A good selection of food on the in house menu and very very generous portion sizes-so best to ask if you need a smaller portion rather than waste food . We stayed at this Inn as it was featured in An Inspector Calls in the Saturday Mail newspaper and ideal as a treat for my husbands birthday- also the room was very quiet

A couple of the lights in the room needed new lightbulbs although there was plenty of lighting in the room overall-also the small portable 'radiator' didn't seem to work when the central heating wasn't on- and ? it needed a bit of a boost to warm the room in between times.

A Perfect Stay at The Olde Windmill Inn in Great Cressingham, Norfolk We enjoyed staying at The Olde Windmill Inn during a two-day trip to Norfolk for a local event. This charming historic Inn exceeded our expectations in every possible way. Firstly, the Inn's ambience is nothing short of enchanting. The place's historic character adds a unique and cosy feel you can't find in modern hotels. Every nook and corner tells a story, making our stay exciting and comfortable. The staff at The Olde Windmill Inn were superb. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service throughout our stay, they ensured we had everything we needed and more. Their recommendations for local sights and eateries were spot-on, enhancing our overall experience. We were also deeply impressed by the local community. The people in Norfolk were incredibly welcoming, making us feel like part of the village rather than just visitors. This connection added a lovely personal touch to our trip. Given the delightful experience, if we find ourselves in Norfolk again, there is no question about where we will stay. The Olde Windmill Inn would undoubtedly be our first choice once more. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area who wants to enjoy a blend of historic charm and excellent service.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. Some might say the pub's location is a bit rural, but it suited our expectations and was only 20 minutes away from our outdoor event.

Stunning little inn full of character and cosy charm, super friendly locals and polite happy staff make this a perfect escape where you can take your four legged friend without feeling uncomfortable as so DOG FRIENDLY, a truly magical stay and warm memories made. Beds are super comfy and so peaceful that we spent a whole day sleeping and chilling out in a deep bubble bath x lovely forest walks X fantastic Whisky selection. Breakfast was great value and worth getting up for x The menu selection was great my fillet steak was perfect and all dishes were served hot and very well presented. All very civilised especially all the different dogs enjoying life with their humans x Hate to say it but would 100% recommend a stay here x Nothing was too much bother x I loved the black out curtains.

The toilet Roll 😯 only 1/2 ply ...would take my own next trip. Nothing not to like in my opinion

We didn't know that the Inn owned a self catering cottage, so were more than pleased to spend the night there. There are lots of original features kept from the original barn that was converted, with a modern well equipped kitchen and bathroom. WiFi signal was good. No noise from nearby properties. The cottage was warm and comfortable. The lounge area has some beautiful highly-polished wooden tables. There is a flat screen TV and FreeSat box. Thick curtains at the windows, and blinds in the kitchen area and bathroom. A comfortable double bed, with quality linen. There was a mattress protector. There is a full size bath with a shower over it. Generous toiletries, and hospitality tray. There is a fenced, secure, outdoor patio area, with table and chairs, useful for the dog and outdoor coffee. The staff were all very friendly and approachable. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

It would be useful to have some place mats, or drinks coasters to protect the wooden furniture (I used a magazine in the end). There were no pillow protectors on any of the pillows.

The hotel was homely, the staff very pleasant and helpful (we only had 1 pillow each and when we asked for another, it was no problem). The food was good - both the evening meal and the breakfast (although breakfast was a long time coming - 40 mins!!). Overall, we enjoyed the stay, we would come again and if asked, we would recommend the hotel 😊

It was ok - having stayed in a few places over the years, the shower could have done with a good clean (Astonish mould remover - works great!!). Having said that, it didn't affect our stay, it is just an observation - and nowhere near as bad as some places we've stayed at - more like evidence of a regularly visited/used room 😊

Staff excellent, very helpful, cheerful & diligent. Surroundings were exceptional, beautiful setting and quirky building suited location very well. Service prompt and efficient, food quality well above average and dlivered as requested. Very good staff attitudes throughout, so well done to all.

Evening dinner menu lacked a fish option and vegetables were very limited, otherwise good quality food well presented and delivered in large quantities. No complaints whatsoever.

We have stay here before and liked it. Firstly they are very dog friendly, which we wanted. The staff, location, and food/drink were excellent. We had dinner in most nights and loved every meal - good food and plentiful. ALL the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for days out to the forsts, Holkham and Brancaster - Dog loved it. There is a village common just a short walk up the road at Great Cressingham which perfect for early morning or late night doggie walks. Rooms are extremely good value.

This really isn't really a dislike as such. The cost of the room is very good value and that's because the accommodation is a little tired. BUT having said that with a dog you don't want pristine clean and white surfaces for muddy paws to mess up. However, there are still things and the owners could do/ should do. I would suggest that they conduct an audit of the premises on a regular basis - our room had a metre long crack in the bedroom wall next the bathroomand the bathroom fan (all with other rooms) sounded like a jumbo jet taking off on start up. I am surprised that these hadn't been noticed by staff and dealt with .

Everything was really good. Room was good size with lovely armchairs and comfortable bed. Carpet needed a clean. Bathroom was ok but needed some attention. Perfectly placed rooms just behind pub building with car park behind rooms and garden area with tables. Staff were excellent. Evening meal had good choice and was delicious. Breakfast, well it was brilliant with amazing choice. Well done everybody.
