The 'pub - or Hotel?' is absolutely fine, and the service was spot-on. The food was excellent, and the staff all engaging and very polite. My only criticism is that the room was a bit on the small side, and could have done with another chair - as there were two of us, and only one chair. We were also very conscious that if there was a guest in the neighbouring room they probably would have been able to hear us, and us them quite easily, so we kept the TV volume down, which being a bit deaf was not the best. But generally quite acceptable - and exceptional food!
Just the room size and lack of seating therein - as mentioned above.

We did not get the room we booked, apparently the room was off for maintenance but we should had been informed. The hotel room is needing a refurb especially the bathroom , however it was warm and comfortable and slept well. The saving grace of the hotel was the amazing food and staff. Their chef is good and the evening meal and breakfast was outstanding. The dinner was run by the manager and barman and the service was good especially as it was busy and everything was perfect. I think the rooms are over priced for the standard but would stay again for the staff and food alone.

We stayed for 1 night at the Bedingfeld Arms, the accommodation is in the refurbished stable block and fully met our requirements. Nice comfortable beds ensured we had a good nights sleep for our travels next day. The pub enjoys very nice local beer and also in the restaurant you get really nice local home grown food, I particularly recommend the Venison and redcurrant suet pudding which was absolutely lovely, followed by the cheese board with all local Norfolk cheeses and a nice couple of pints of local ale and what more could you ask for a lovely evening. Unfortunately we did not have breakfast as we had an early start next day, but if we are ever in the area again we will be certain to try and stay here again. Thank you
The only thing I can possibly think of is the timing for breakfast, which starts at 8 am, maybe a sitting at 7am might be better but please do not let that deter you from staying here

The food was the most outstanding part about the property, we ate in the restaurant on 2 of our 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed both of the meals, we couldn’t get a table on our last night as it was Sunday and they were full up. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and warm and very clean.
The room was a budget room located in a courtyard and decor and fittings were a little tired, but was very clean, warm and the bed comfortable. The light pull in bathroom was just a piece of string and the door into it squeaked when opening.

The general manager (I assume) was a lovely man, great character, was very polite and chatty, and although a miss hap with his glasses he still soldiered on. Food was lovely, the wait wasn’t long and it was very busy, you could see the staff all trying to get people served as quick as possible which was good. The garden was nice plenty of places to sit. Our room was nice too, we didn’t hear any noise or smell of foods from the kitchen or anything so that was always lovely, the shower room ceiling could have done with a paint ( I’m in construction so more than aware this will be an issue without a window, hents why I wasn’t too fussed about this) over all we will visit again, we brought our dog along and he was also made very welcome. Great little park across the track to walk the dog in the mornings and everying and a few interesting walks to do in the area. Thanks!
We didn’t stay longer

The hotel was easy to find and on arrival we were greeted by friendly confident staff. We were over the moon to be upgraded to a beautiful room with a four poster bed, large bathroom and lovely views of the village. Evening meals were so reasonably priced, large varied menu and of an excellent standard.
We felt the breakfast menu lacked variety, ie, no cereals, yogurts or fresh fruit. The cooked breakfast was on the small side but hot and well presented. Toast was given in white or granary bread but we were not asked if we would like more.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL hotel. Our rooms were stunning. Comfortable huge beds. Had tea and coffee stuff, would have been nice to be given a non dairy milk option as I'm lactose intolerant. Plenty of towels given, hair dryer, TV etc. The food was delicious and well presented, staff were also very friendly and helpful. Cute little church next door, and a garden which is probably lovely in warmer months.
There wasn't a breakfast menu in our room like we were told so we had to go ask for one.. But that was it. Also it was quite cold in my bathroom! I arranged for a cake to be brought out for my friends birthday, this took me speaking to 4 different staff members and they still didn't really get it right which was disappointing! TV also didn't seem to want to turn off so I had to try and unplug it from the wall and the plug was very high.

OK but not enough choice only full cooked or scrambled eggs. No cereals, no fruit. Having to order in advance not good, who know what you might fancy each morning. Having to pay extra for different tea or coffee.
See above. No response to phone calls prior to arriving. Not professional. Dinner choices ok except chips with everything!!!! Trued too hard to prepare 'posh' dinners. Something a little more simple on menu would be better, e.g how about soup as a starter

Elegant and tastefully decorated. Comfortable. Our four poster bed was large and comfortable and the room was very attractive. The large bathroom was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
These are just some pointers: As our stay was on a Sunday, the restaurant closed early, so our (40th wedding anniversary!) supper was at 6.15pm but this couldn’t be helped. The evening menu was basically the Sunday lunch menu rehashed and the accompanying vegetables were a bit overdone. I’ve had better food, but the service from Ellie was first class! Breakfast was good - we chose it the night before - I would have preferred the avocado on my muffin to be cold, and the requested orange juice turned out to be a bottle of J2O orange and mango.

Dinner was excellent. The menu choices were moth-watering making decisions difficult. The food was well presented and tasted delicious. Breakfast was cooked for the individual, no buffet style service. This felt much more personal. The room was fairly basic, but comfortable. The ambience in the Bar/restaurant was very cheerful and friendly.
Unfortunately, the TV did not work. This was a minor issue.
