Great location connected to T5. Rooms were clean

Room rate is on the higher end around Heathrow, but can't beat the location

I stayed here the night before flying home from LHR so that I would not have to worry about getting to the airport. There is a (long, 10+ minute) walkway connecting to Terminal 5. Arrive early enough and in theory you could take the Tube or Heathrow Express into London to see the sights.

You pay a high premium for the convenience. GBP30 for breakfast is a ripoff, go walk 10 min to Terminal 5 and you can get something at Pret a Manger or Cafe Nero (before security). The reception person did not tell anyone that they need their card for the lift/elevator to work, and to get electricity in the room (there is a slot near the room door where you insert your card).

The hotel was beautiful, it has a walkway direct to terminal 5 which was British airlines so that was perfect. My daughter had a wonderful facial at the spa, we would have used the pool but it was down. The cookies left in the room with tea were so delicious, beds were cozy. We were stuck in London for 4 extra days due to the airport closure, so I decided to pick one in the airport for the day we finally flew out, I wish I would have booked there sooner it was just what we needed after a long ordeal. The bath products were wonderful!!

Food in the tea way was decent but nothing to brag about, service was extremely slow but we weren't in a hurry. The lotion and body store never opened it was a Sunday so we were disappointed.

Room upgrade was great. I was tired as I arrived 9 pm on an international flight and I have very low vision. My vision problems were exacerbated by the dim lighting in the reception area and the lighting bouncing off the shiny reflective surfaces in the area. I was literally saved by a young man working in the lobby. He carried my bags, walked me to the room, got the lights on etc. and explained other things to me as well. He was generally concerned if I was doing ok and I was most grateful for his help.

I requested, in advance, extra lighting not a quiet room. There appears to have been some confusion around this. Hotel was difficult for me to find. Reception area is very badly lit.

We were able to upgrade to a club room, which was nice so we only used the club lounge for breakfast. The room was quiet for being at the airport and well appointed (Loved the bath products) Great location at the airport and it was easy to take the train to downtown London as well as take the transfer train to go to our terminal. The gentleman in the lounge serving breakfast was extremely polite and helpful.

The room was quite dark, the bathroom could have been cleaner, and a few things needed replacing.

My stay at Sofitel London Heathrow was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, directly connected to Terminal 5 via a covered walkway, making it perfect for travelers with early flights or layovers. The hotel room was luxurious, spotless, and well-appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The room was equipped with all the modern amenities one could need, and the soundproof windows were a great touch, keeping the airport noise at bay.

One downside was the lack of power outlets by the bedside, which would have been convenient for charging devices overnight.

I booked at the last minute due to flight problems and airport closure at my destination due to snow. The booking process was smooth as was the check in. My room was clean and welcoming. The hotel is walking distance to T5 so perfect for my rearranged early flight the next day. I pre-booked a restaurant table which was just as well as people were being turned away. The food was served quickly and was of a good standard. The room was quiet and I slept well. I didn't have breakfast the next day due to an early flight. Check out is painless and I received the invoice on-line.

It's not cheap but for a last minute booking and the convenience, to be expected. I felt sorry for families with kids being turned away from the restaurant which wasn't full when I was there (but maybe the kitchen was stretched?).

Strategically located hotel in Terminal 5 of London Heathrow, convenient, with helpful staff and useful, practical facilities. We had to catch a flight the next morning on Terminal 4 of the airport and stayed at the Sofitel the night before and thought it was an excellent decision. The staff was accomodating, helpful and informative at all times. The rooms are comfortable, clean with well-equipped bathrooms that have a heated floor! This is a plus in cold temperatures.

Everything in this hotel is an advantage for travellers in transit. It is a great option to take a break and rest and continue one´s travel and hectic layovers.

The proximity to my early morning flight with zero concerns about missing it. Pleasant meeting space in the lounge serving tea & pastries. The room was spacious & comfortable with a bathroom with an epic walk-in shower. Vegetarian menu offerings were minimal, BUT the redefined vegan burger was delicious. All was forgotten at the breakfast buffet. Wow. Check out was slick. I had to ask if I was done. Superb.

Explained I was vegetarian & didn't want any protein, so the Cesar salad was simply uninspiring & just lettuce, sauce & parmesan. Croutons? My Old Fashioned was obviously made by somebody, not a trained mixologist - ghastly & at £21 I should have sent it back.

Dinning Facilities were excellent. A smart french style restaurant, Snacks in the bar and I had an excellent reasonable meal in a restaurant that sat somewhere in between.

The hotel was enormous, Downstairs the space was well used, but upstairs I got lost twice, but it is a major airport and it is the best there. I was surprised at the distance between Terminal 5 and Terminal 6. I guess I should have asked for help but it was an early flight and I was tired. I would have expected inter terminal transport to be included for that price and be offered on registration.
