The whole staff were so friendly & helpful. On arrival, the reception staff bent over backwards to fulfil our request for a twin room with a bath. The following morning, the chef went out of his way to cook scrambled eggs just as my husband likes! All in all, an excellent breakfast with ample choice &catering for every taste. The beds/pillows were the most comfortable we have ever experienced & the lighting & charging points were carefully thought out. a good night's sleep was had by all with a great breakfast to look forward to each morning! I would definitely recommend this hotel for any traveller.

Nothing...all was good!

I stayed a week in order to attend an event at nearby Trinity Park with my dog. I had an excellent stay - the staff, without exception, were the friendliest of any hotel I have ever stayed in - nothing was too much trouble. The room was a decent size and recently decorated and the bathroom appears new. Dogs are welcome in the bar area (where you can also choose to eat) and the breakfasts are fantastic. All in all, my dog and I were made to feel very welcome (and a special thank you to Maisie for the dog treats!)

Reception staff very good and helpful, Zak very helpful served us dinner and Breakfast, spotless clean room on arrival, ( sofie)

Breakfast was auful, plenty of cereals, juice, bread and coffee, no fried eggs or bacon, hash browns, had to ask twice, in the end l gave up, very short staffed in the restaurant and kitchen, when you pay £20 for breakfast you expect a breakfast, hotel was not that busy, l have worked in hospitality for many years so know what it's like to be short staffed,

The lady in the front desk was so nice, warm and friendly. I think her name was Esther, she welcomed us so warmly when we stumbled tired and worn into the hotel a late evning. She made sure we had everything we needed and her warm attitude made us feel so safe and welcomed after a long week driving through Europe. Her professional and nice catering towards us made the first impression so good that we paid for an extra night

The room where a little to warm and the window was not possible to open more than a little. We had to have the door to the room open to catch some air. Would be nice to be able to fully open the window.

The holiday inn, Orwell, Ipswich was of a high standard. There was a quality feel about it from the outside which continued inside. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room's quality was excellent, with a large wardrobe and drawers. The room had excellent lighting and a floor standing lamp which gave the room a cosier feel. The bed was very comfortable with a nice firm mattress. The bathroom was large and was also of a very high standard, with an excellent pressured shower. The TV had a built in time display which was useful. The room had tea and coffee making facilities

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The room surpassed our expectations.

Plenty of parking at the Hotel which was great! Room was so spacious, bed was very comfy & the bathroom had just been renovated to a beautiful finish. I had a slight issue with the sink plug jammed shut so I popped down to reception & the night manager (didn’t catch her name but I distinctly remember her wearing a medical boot), was so so helpful & had the nightshift maintenance guy come fix it within 10-15 minutes so thank you for being so efficient. I had bought some food with me & the staff on reception were happy to store it on their fridge overnight which was a bonus. All in all a very pleasant stay with all the staff being so friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Checked in after 11pm due to late travel ....welcoming staff at reception. extra beds made up and staff avaible to help with questions. It was nice to walk into room to a "clean/fresh" smell- might seem like such a random thing to mention but it was soo noticeable! Also Lovely breakfast with plenty of options..

Rm14: Although room is clean, and appropriately organised/ arranged.... there is signs of wear and tear in the room... heater sides falling off ,carpet stains... also no heating control in the room. so despite having extra beds made, we slept in one bed (main double bed) as kids complained of being cold!

Some outstanding staff - Ester was wonderfully welcoming when we arrived in the middle of the night, Sean and Natalie were just as wonderful and informative the following morning: Sean went out of his way to let us know that, as guests, we were VIPs, even going so far as checking that the noise from another guest's TV wasn't heard from our room in spite of our protests to the contrary! Natalie gave us a charming trail suggestion which was amazing and Sean & Chef Rex provided us with the best breakfast buffet we've ever had (seriously, this is the one area we have a tonne of experience in and this is the best; perfectly crispy bacon, crispy and dense sausages, amazingly buttery roasted mushrooms plus a diverse selection of fruit meant more than my usual two plates...). The room was appreciably clean (thank you Kelly) as was the bar, and we never had to worry about anything as the aformentioned staff (and Sean especially) made considerable efforts to make sure we always knew they were close by and we need only ask should we require anything at all. In the evening, barman Zack kept up the quality standard with plenty of jokes and good conversation (welcome after a long work day). The burgers we had were excellent and the combination of great food and even better staff made extending our stay (and then returning for another two nights two weeks later) an easy choice.

The usual couple of grumpy staff but perhaps it only seemed this way because the standard was set so high by the rest of the team? Silly pricing of rooms or breakfast for non-guests if you try to book directly.

Booked larger room with breakfast for 3 nights at £228 that I thought was very good value. Friendly and helpful staff.

Quite alarmed by the amount of old furniture/fittings stored on first floor lobby area. Although accepting that refits must be a natural progression for a hotel, I thought this posed a fire hazard. It looked as though the items had been stored there for sometime and that they maybe there for a considerable amount of more time.

Overall I thought the experience was very good compared to others I have stayed in. Great that you could get food and drinks anytime during the day. Good location.

The cold water on bathroom sink only dribbled out and the shower was a bit awkward to get the temperature right TV channels were limited
