Very clean and comfortable room. Great hotel and great breakfast. The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and open to answering any questions about our stay. Would go again.

Staff were absolutely fantastic and went out of their way . Would definitely recommend to stay here

The only thing I didn't like were the pillows. They were so uncomfortable (too soft and lumpy)

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful Hotel for 4 nights. We were delighted with the location and look of the establishment shrouded in so many beautiful flowers. We had a wonderful stay although as ever with the Lakes the weather wasn't great. The overwhelming memories of our visit will be the food the location and how fantastic the staff are, they are incredible and so helpful and friendly. Emma in particular must be singled out - she is utterly wonderful and a godsend to the owners because she is incredible so helpful charming and friendly (and no we aren't related:-)) - the owner also us fabulous as are all the staff breakfast lunch and dinner. We will be returning it will be akin to visiting old friends. An absolute delight to visit.

No Complaints whatsoever.

Great location was just what we were looking for. The shepherds hut was very cute, it had a great kitchen and the underfloor heating kept it very cosy.

It took us about 45mins to check in as there was a bit of a queue for the bar and only one staff member taking orders for the food, drinks and checking people in. Felt a bit bad for the worker, it seemed very understaffed. We then ordered food from the bar and it took another hour and a half for it to come… the food was great however. I would still recommend, but just be prepared it’s not a self check in and could take a bit to get yourself into your accommodation.

Beautiful location, ample parking friendly staff good food. Great selection of quality real ales. Dog friendly lovely scenery peaceful. Was not what we expected however very cosy underfloor heating was great. The bed very comfortable ( pillows not so good). The location was very good for travelling around the area.

Slight lack of privacy when using hot tub, nowhere to hang robe or towel when using hot tub. Hard chairs inside could do with cushions. Pillows warn out could do with replacing. Towel Rail not working in bathroom ( had been reported many times by previous guests). Hot tub great bonus although the extra cost for the logs was not highlighted before the visit. Anyone who plan to stay purchase extra logs as £7.50 a bag can be an extra cost not budgeted for.

Lovely location, very friendly welcome. I was staying in shepherds hut with my dog, my friends were in a superior king room in the hotel. All very well equipped and the food was excellent. The grounds are fabulous and the views stunning.

The mattress in the hut was very firm and lumpy and the pillows rather well used. Could not get a comfortable nights sleep. The bed is high, which I did expect, but as I am only 5’1 I could have done with a little step to help get in. However I still enjoyed it. A little more outdoor lighting between the hotel and the huts would have been helpful. Walking back in pitch black was a little treacherous.

Our room was just lovely with a very comfortable bed, very nice en-suite with gorgeous toiletries and white fluffy towels, there was also complimentary hot drinks, bottled water and biscuits. The breakfast was excellent with a great choice, even if what I wanted wasn’t on the menu the Chef still cooked it for me, the poached eggs were done perfectly. The meals on the evening menu were so delicious that we ate there every night of our stay and we weren’t disappointed, the fish and chips are definite must try, the fish was huge. The staff were amazing, all friendly and helpful especially Maisie who made our Anniversary celebration more special

We just wish that complimentary drinks and biscuits were replenished during our stay

I had full English breakfast. It was excellent! High quality sausages, bacon, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. Very well cooked. Even the hash browns were home made and tasty! I also had dinner/ evening meals at the restaurant. The food was also very good! The staff are all very friendly and nice. Very dog friendly! My room is very clean and cosy. My bed is comfortable. Nice TV and decoration. The location is good. Lots of parking spaces. We could also walk to one of the lakes! Value for money!

Poor wifi connection in my room.

My boyfriend & I really loved our stay here! The little shepherds hut had everything you would need, the hot tub was lovely, our dogs enjoyed cosying up by the electric fire in the evenings and the views were stunning. The pub food was great, its dog friendly and the staff were lovely and helpful too! There were so many walks to choose from around, highly recommend the Bluebird Café in Coniston where we stopped to have coffee & cake on one of our walks - Also if you like fudge, highly recommend the Coniston Fudge, Gifts and Gallery shop. This was the perfect long weekend stay and will most definitely be back soon, thank you!
