Wonderful location, lovely breakfast and the staff in the dining room were really pleasant and helpful.

The room was too hot and bar service around the hotel was lacking. A beautiful conservatory and no waiters to take drinks orders or clear tables etc….gave the impression of lack of staff?

Beautiful location, beautiful hotel inside and out. Staff were attentive, polite and professional. The rooms were clean and decorated to fit the hotels original character, but with a nice modern bathroom. It had a lovely conservatory area that overlooked the lake, where you could sit and have drinks and snacks. Spa access from 7am-7pm was perfect after a days walking with a large pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Had a bit of an issue with the food in the brasserie but the waiters couldn't apologisr enough and rectified the problem quickly.

The spa and pool area was quite slippery, and the chlorine in the pool was a bit intense. My eyes still stung the next day. Wasn't keen on the breakfast set up, Juice and toast orders are taken before you've even sat down, then by the time they come to take hot breakfast order the toast is stone cold, but thats probably just me being fussy and still didn't take away from the fantastic staff and the quality of our stay.

Yes we stayed in room 70 which was on the third floor. I think the room was very spacious and airy the view looking out to the car park and to the lake it was very comfortable. The shower was nice but I did hurt my leg getting out at one time on the glass, I thought it was my fault being clumsy but my husband done the same the next day maybe if there was a some form of shower mat in the bath then that would be much better. I’ve also left my costume and my husband‘s swimming trunks at room 70 on the 24th and the 25th of September 2024 I have emailed the company but have had nothing back as yet .

There was absolutely nothing I could say that I didn’t like about the hotel. The staff were very very welcoming from when you arrived at the Reception Pip was one of the ladies who worked on Reception and also the staff at the dining room and the breakfast room, very welcome and.

We arrived at the hotel which was beautiful. We checked in and was taken to our room. The room we booked with yourselves booking.com was a lakeside view. The room allocated was a courtyard view. The only reason for booking this hotel was because of the view. The hotel said booking.com made the booking as we book through you. This was a special occasion as it was my husband 60th. The hotel was fully booked on lakeside views so this couldn't be changed. The hotel have offered a competently stay for another day. The hotel were lovely and they have done the best they could. This was booking.com mistake and it should of been a special day. So I'm unhappy with your service.

The hotel was super, it was the room allocated by booking.com that wasn't the room we booked. We wanted a lakeside view. This was the only reason we booked this hotel. Your company booked this in and I have conformation to confirm this. We were disappointed not to get the room we booked.

Location fabulous. Easy access to river cruises. Loved the swimming pool in the spa which was well appointed. Drinks terrace outside is so comfortable & a great place to be on a sunny day watching activities on the lake.

Our room was part of a rolling programme of refurbishment according to the welcome letter. It was a pity that it wasn’t up to less traditional standards of decor but it was acceptable. By contrast, the toilet was ridiculously low. We are both tall & there were quite a few tall guests in the hotel. We wondered if everyone hated the “junior school” height toilet as much as we did. Service in the restaurants was very slow. Whilst the members of staff were very polite, if you need to have breakfast & get out quickly, this is not the place for you. We asked for simple things & at times they never arrived at the table. We are aware that the hotel has staffing recruitment problems.

The location is amazing, our room had a view over looking the Lake. Surprisingly quiet which was a bonus, the bed was soooo comfy and the room was spacious and everything felt quality.

For some reason we had trouble finding staff that could help us eat in their Brasserie. We were told it opened at 5 and wouldn't need to book a table, but there was no one around to help us. We eventually found a helpful member of staff who tracked down the right person, just felt a bit unprofessional. I also had to re-attach the TV arial that had been ripped out of the wall and the metal connector had fallen off, so I provided some free DIY skills to resolve.

The view from my room across the river was stunning. The comfy chairs next to the window allowed me to sit there for a while holst I took in the breathtaking view of the lake and the hills on the opposite side. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and the furnishings were all classic and fitted in with the hotel perfectly. The bed was huge and was super comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to our needs and I can not fault them at all. The food was delicious and well presented.

It was a bit pricy for food and drink. Nearly £18 for a single vodka orange and single rum and coke. The next door room seemed to enjoy slamming the doors at 0800 in the morning which was annoying but I guess can’t be helped really.

Pretty location right next to Lake Windermere. The hotel was warm, clean & spacious and the staff were professional, polite and friendly. We had a couple of drinks in the bar and a good meal in the Brasserie Restaurant. Our room was clean, comfortable and warm.

The cooked breakfast was very disappointing because it was barely warm. It’s difficult to understand why a hotel of this standard can’t serve up a hot breakfast - it’s not that hard. There was a good selection of cereals, juices, fruit, pastries & preserves. On our arrival in the breakfast area we were given the impression that the “hot” breakfast was cooked to order but it clearly wasn’t. Also only one slice of toast each brought to the table. For the price we should have been offered 2 or at least told we could request more, but we weren’t. The woman who appeared to be in charge of the restaurant seemed more concerned with getting the tables cleared than the satisfaction of the paying guests.

We stayed in a lake view room, the views are amazing and the bed was comfy, I normally get a bad back on soft mattresses buy this was fine. The conservatory was lovely to sit in and many groups were playing card games with the lake outside. Lovely setting.

It was £15 for 3 diet cokes, and the food in the restaurant was similarly over priced. A brownie on the dessert menu was £10 and it just wasn't thar good. The food was more than just pub food but the prices were just too much for what was given. The staff were good but a lot seemed to being trained which is fine but it meant a lot of people not being able to do things when asked and you having to wait until someone that was trained came available.
