An old hotel with a special atmosphere, situated in its own large garden (with rabbits nibbling on the grass...), It was quiet as it is on the town outskirts, but 5 min walk to Keswick center. Access to walking paths direct from the hotel. Parking available on site. We had a nice and relatively large room with a view to the bunnies....The staff was very nice.

Lovely lounge and dining areas. Bedroom and bathroom very spacious.Lovely and warm. Lovely linen and towels and very clean. Enjoyed the food apart from a couple of mistakes.
For us the beds are a problem as they are too soft and bouncy. Need firmer mattresses to support our backs properly. Uncomfortable. This is quite major as sleep is important. We’ve stayed 3 times but the soft beds may be a deal breaker for another time. No price list in bar. Was told they did not have one which is odd.

Breakfast was a good standard cooked buffet with option of cereals and fruit salad etc. Hotel setting is very very good, location is excellent, parking included is great as Keswick is a pain for parking. Really very nice staff. I would like to stay again.
No continental style option breakfast, no option to order a breakfast fresh. No tissues in rooms, or solid soap.

Everything from a very comfortable room on the third floor to the welcome at reception when arriving. The space of the hotel is inviting with a large lounge to relax in, and large dining room. Being a Victorian Hotel there is plenty of space and large corridors. The free car park was very welcome with plenty of spaces available. The hotel is a five minute walk from the centre of Keswick.
The breakfast was excellent as a self service full English, but after four days it can be very repetitive. I would like to see some variety on the menu such as kippers, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, fish with a poached egg. Fruit, cereal and pastries are a given !

Ideally situated for visiting Keswick. Although we did not have breakfast at the hotel, the staff were fully aware of the gluten free requirements of people like myself with Coeliac disease. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy reading or playing games. The free parking was a bonus. Wifi was good, and free. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
The car park was quite busy, and several spaces were out of commission due to maintenance work being undertaken on the outside of the hotel. (However, there were plenty of spaces on the road leading to the hotel, and these were also free for residents.) The hotel does not yet have any facilities for charging electric vehicles. Hopefully this deficiency will be rectified before too long.

Room was lovely with great views of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable. The gardens and outside seating were beautiful and bar well set out Staff were accommodating and efficient.
There was a overpowering smell of urine from the carpet in my room. The carpet was fairly new. The smell made me feel sick and uncomfortable. I could also hear a dog barking from the station room annexe which is a seperate building from my room in the main hotel. This went on for a long period. Obviously, the owners had left it in the room whilst they had gone to the hotel bar. Dog owners moan about dogs not being allowed in the main hotel bar yet they leave them in a hotel room alone to mess up that environment. Simllar situation with the smell from the carpet in my room. The person who soiled it should take responsibility and not the hotel.

Lovely setting Excellent service Friendly well trained staff Good food Good varied menu each evening
Double bed was 2 singles side by side made up as a double so uncomfortable and difficult to spoon. No shampoo just generic body wash . No orange juice for breakfast just Apple juice and a murky orange mixture. I know logistically this would be difficult but a shame it wasn’t possible to order 2 courses for meal at a cheaper rate or have a cheaper price for breakfast if only consuming cereal. Wanted to leave a generous tip but only cash was acceptable so we didn’t have much to leave

We were warmly welcomed on arrival. We booked for dinner, bed and breakfast. The dinner was outstanding - we had not been expecting this standard of cooking, presentation and service. The food was delicious, imaginative and varied, and beautifully prepared. It was served in a lovely restaurant by warm, friendly and attentive staff. Our compliments to the chef and to all the team. The hotel dates from the late 19th Century - we enjoyed staying in a hotel with such history and yet all modern conveniences. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the mountains.

My wife and I and two other family members stayed in three rooms at Keswick Country House Hotel for five nights B&B, we had three evening meals there. The rooms were nice and big, clean and the beds were very comfortable. All the food was excellent, delicious, good portion sizes, great quality and excellently cooked and served. All the staff were lovely, professional, and efficient and could not do more to help us in every way. Keep up the good work and thank you all. Looking forward to our next visit to Keswick Country House Hotel.
