Very clean - always the most important factor. modern and comfortable interiors and bedrooms but a traditional/period look from outside. A good outdoor sitting area, great while the weather has been good. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Bar/lounge areas nice and they do a good line in cocktails. Bed was huge and comfortable, bathroom clean and modern. really good, freshly cooked breakfasts and a good selection on the menu.

Only a small detail but the bathroom light comes on automatically when entering which is not great if you need the loo during the night. could do with low level lighting for during the night.

Modern hotel just outside of Whalley and Lang. short drive away from both Blackburn and Clitheroe. Was a farm but now a modern hotel set back from the main road (so very quiet), with a golf course and function rooms. Clearly set up to cater for weddings and big social occasions as they have a specific function room set apart from the main hotel and well away from the bedrooms. The bar is warm and has a great selection of cocktails along with the usual fair. Breakfast if plentiful and very good.Worth the money and you won't need lunch! hotel has a couple of EV chargers which are useful for me!

The room and bathroom were spacious and WARM, unlike most English hotels, even expensive ones, which are too cold for comfort. The temperature was the absolute best thing about my stay. There was fresh milk in the fridge for tea, a nice touch. The food in the restaurant was first rate. Green beans cooked to perfection. Once we got the music turned down, my dinner guest and I enjoyed a wonderful repast, finished with a gorgeous sticky toffee pudding.

The breakfast orange juice was inferior - out of a box - and not in keeping with the high standard of the hotel. I don't expect freshly squeezed but any supermarket 'orange juice with bits' would be a vast improvement. Also, loud rock music belted out during dinner and we had to ask that the volume be adjusted. Rock music is at odds with an elegant restaurant, as is loud music. Jazz or instrumental would be more sophisticated and pleasant for diners.

We stayed overnight at Mytton Fold after attending a wedding close by. The room was fantastic with a huge bed and very comfy pillows. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of choice for breakfast before the journey home with perfect poached eggs on the Eggs Benedict and homemade local sausages on the full English. Well done to all the team at Mytton Fold, we will definitely book again if we need to stay over again in the area.

Nothing, perfect all round.

Top of a long list of things I liked was the warmth and friendliness of all the staff. When all around you see happy smiles from staff, your mood is uplifted. Thank you all! Next on the list was the lovely building which was recently renovated and was spotless. The dinner was worthy of a 5star restaurant. The dinner was excellent. My main course was Cod loin in seaweed! Combined with the service of a wine waiter who knows his wines as well as any Sommelier it was unforgettable. Breakfast also to be a similar standard. What is not to like? Hope I get a chance to return soon.

nothing! it was superb for the price bracket.

Warm welcome. Room ready on early arrival. Room placement by staff was thoughtful in a quiet location, away from noisy area. Restaurant food super and the upgrade in decor was good.

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was fine. The restaurant was quiet for Saturday night, but that might be because the peak holiday season is over, or due to a trendy large restaurant next door taking a lot of local dining business.

Considering the rating of the hotel it is absolutely stunning it’s modern, clean, the grounds are beautiful, plenty of grounds to walk your dogs, the staff went above and beyond, food tasted absolutely amazing, very quiet and it was lovely to see all the different fruit growing on the trees.

Only problem is I had a king suite the bed was a double which was a very tight squeeze fitted 2 adults and child in it if wanted a bed put in the room had to pay £25 which wouldn’t of fitted in the room as well as the dog beds it would of been a very tight squeeze and could also do with a window in the room as can’t leave the patio doors open when you have dogs so it got quite stuffy and really warm in the room.

It’s the food and service that makes this place special, we enjoyed a fabulous 3 course dinner in the restaurant with excellent wine, nothing was to much trouble for the friendly staff who looked after us impeccably throughout. Chap in the bar area was also excellent. The room was adequate, clean and the mattress comfy.

Slightly confusing layout to the hotel although we learnt the way in the end, one of our towels had some marks on. The bill was slightly confusing at the end.

accommodation very good evening meal very good breakfast very poor I was served bacon that was not edible I also had poached egg which was like a bullet the chef should not have sent it out and the waitress should have said something before she brought it to the table other hotels in the area have a much better breakfast. I paid £15 for that sorry but not good enough. I complained but I wasn’t going to ask for another one. there was no not even a reduction in the bill for such an appalling offering.

Beautiful grounds. property was very well maintained and clean in every area we ventured into. All the staff we spoke to were happy, polite and very helpful. Our bed was huge and large enough for my husband, toddler and I with space to spare.

Not a case of what wasn’t liked, the food just needed a little finessing at dinner, breakfast was great. I never season my food when I eat out but ended up doing so on both evenings. would like to give 9.5/10 but that’s not possible on your rating options. Some people may be put off by the lack of a cancellation policy. We booked a room for 3 and we all fit in comfortably. However, the option of an extra bed was a chargeable service which doesn’t make sense as we booked a room for 3.
