Good accommodation designed for academic visitors for the University of Leicester; also available to the public. Nice standard rooms - clean room and comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast and very helpful staff. Close to a lovely pub (Cardock Arms) and public garden (Attenborough Arboretum).

May be the ground lighting at night for the way to the rear building through the courtyard can be improved. Timing of housekeeping (daily room cleaning and restocking tea/coffee and milk supplies) can be improved - extend over the morning and afternoon.

Needing to spend a night in Leicester to visit the Public Records Office on Friday, I found this on booking.com. I attended Leicester Uni in the late 1960's for my degree so realised this was walking distance to university. My route through Victoria Park from the station brought back endless memories. All the more poignant as I walked past my old digs in St Leonards Road to find College Court at the end of Queens Road in Knighton. It is owned by the university and presumably hosts many conferences and academic visitors. The front desk folk were very helpful, the room was perfectly comfortable, better than many hotels I've stayed in and breakfast included had an excellent variety of fruit/cereal/bread and cooked items. Bizarrely, I couldn't see any napkins which would have been handy on the bare table tops. A very minor quibble. Great value and conveniently half way to my destination, another two miles walk through Knighton Park the next day. Although I was happy to walk, I soon realised the bus system in Leicester is reliable and frequent and it seems the 44/44A would have taken me from outside the hotel to South Wigston. Indeed, I took the 47 back to the city centre straight down Welford Road.

Everything ..... Nice location, quiet with pleasant grounds and ample free car parking. Enclosed courtyard with outdoor seating. The room in Chamberlain house was very clean, the bathroom was spotless, comfortable bed, coffee & tea making facilities, iron and ironing board. The price (which was good value) included a very good buffet breakfast catering for all tastes. The Chadock pub is opposite and a five minute walk for evening meals. The property was previously a University halls of residence with a distinct 1970s feeling and character - helpful and friendly staff.

Very minor ..... the bar is closed on Saturday evening.

This complex is in a quieter location right next to the Attenborough Arboretum. The site is spaciously pleasant with greenery and fountains, and a large private car park . As it is well-refurbished ex-university student accommodation the rooms are not on the larger side, but perfectly fine and comfortable, supplied with all you need. There are no lifts that we could find, so the upper floors may demand a climb. The buffet breakfast offers a large and tasty selection of continental and cooked choices and the dining room is typical of conference facilities with round tables seating around 8 people+. The entire premises are very clean, and the reception / catering staff are very friendly. Altogether a great find.

We absolutely love College Court. We first stayed as a couple in 2018, then again after we got married the same year. We came back for our 1st anniversary too. We have just stayed again for our 6th anniversary. The rooms are so clean, the beds really comfy, the balcony rooms have beautiful views, the breakfasts are amazing with a huge selection and it's just a short taxi ride into town. We actually walk (about an hour) and taxi back. Leicester city has so much to offer. Always something going on and great shopping. Perfect getaway.

Would love a slightly later breakfast time slot.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic - great choice, well presented, well cooked. Loved it. The grounds are nice - it's an old hall of residence, but they've made some nice seating areas and the planting is good. I loved the old Halls vibe, reminded me of my Uni days. Bathroom was big with a very good shower. Good parking, seemed to be plenty. Cute arboretum next door - nice for a 10 minute stroll.

My room was fairly small - the side desk hardly had enough space to do my work on my laptop on. My room also had a high window which meant I could not look out - most of the other rooms had normal windows. My window did not have a latch so I could not have the window ajar. The location is OK - but it's a residential area, so there is not really anywhere to eat in the immediate area. I drove off to a supermarket to get some food, which was fine by me but I know some people prefer a restaurant. The lighting was a bit weird - one side light could only be used with the main light on.

Good buffet breakfast, comfortable room with standard conference hotel type setup, including a compact desk space where I could sit to eat my takeaway. Surprisingly quiet considering proximity to busy roads. There are quite a few negative reviews of this place and I don't know what people are expecting for the price or from the promo material - I found it a perfectly pleasant stay and even enjoyed sitting by the water feature enjoying the morning sunshine as the breakfast buffet provides takeaway cups, a genius move for those of us who require more than one coffee to get started!

Bathroom was pretty narrow, someone taller than me would have legroom issues while enthroned. Shower occasionally came on by itself (not a drip, more like if it had been turned on then off again a second later). Bit further away from city centre and amenities than expected but that's on me for not checking the map properly, I found a street with some brilliant takeaways about 15min walk away so that was dinner sorted.

I went to Leicester for work at King Power Stadium, it took me less than 10 minutes in city drive to reach there. With a much cheaper price when compared, I could not be more happier location wise. The Hotel is located at a nice and quiet area, there plenty of open space between the blocks. Also, there is a natural walk surrounding. Everything adds up to deliver a very nice and chill ambiance to the hotel. The cleanliness and condition of the room was way above my expectation. It is definitely well managed and cleaned compare to many other hotel rooms in the same price range. Everything inside the room was positioned in a very practical and user friendly manner, so it would definitely be more than enough if you are travelling for work. The room is equipped with all amenities that you would possibly need and are all in good condition. The reception who greeted me was prompt in getting me checked-in and showed me to the breakfast hall as he walked me to the room. The brief chat we had was just the perfect amount after the long drive I had prior to arriving. All other staff that I had encountered during my stay were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was included, there were a good variety of choices and plentiful in supply. The quality of the food is good for the price you pay.

The pillows are slightly too hard for my taste. The ceiling spot lights are not on the center of the room, so the side near to the window gets a little bit darker, which I find a bit weird. The 2 buttons on the toilet is a bit stiff to press if you want a full strength flush.

Friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff at the reception, breakfast and bar. Lovely sitting area in the bar. Good breakfast. I stay very frequently in this please and am a repeat customer as the quality of the accommodation is very good, staff very helpful and friendly, ample of parking space and good location.

Check out time of 10 am is too early; should be at least 11 am. Some quality check needed with replaced glasses and cups in rooms - bit of a hit and miss.
