The hotel was in an ideal spot for us and offered all we were looking for. There's plenty of parking and the room was a great size and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the linen of good quality and clean. The decor is a little dated however this didn't affect our stay at all; we found it endearing. The staff were really friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and later in the evening when I was looking for decaffeinated tea. We stopped at the bar for a drink before bed, and the bar staff were really lovely. Breakfast was good and there were plenty of options, however if a member of staff is going to serve you from what looks like a self serve table, why not just plate it up in the kitchen to order?

Only a couple of minor quibbles. The walls are very, very thin, so we heard the room next to ours clearly, both before we went out for the evening and when they returned in the early hours of the morning. There was no decaffeinated tea in the room with the kettle etc, and when i asked at reception they had none either, so if like me, your a decaf tea drinker, it might be worth popping some tea bags in you overnight bag.

We received a free upgrade on our room which was very much appreciated. Loads of space and comfortable furnishings. Bathroom was really nice, especially liked the low level lighting that could be used at night! Reception staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit chaotic with the hostess station being located directly next to the food causing pile ups of people. Heard a few staff members being annoyed with guests for not 'checking into' breakfast, but due to the location of everything and there not always being a staff member present, it was quite confusing and staff shouldn't have taken this out on guests.

Stayed for our daughter’s graduation, had an evening meal in the restaurant. The staff were outstanding, especially the waiter for our evening meal, nothing was too much trouble. So attentive, made a small plate meal for my 82 year old dad bespoke for him, and then presented our daughter with a congratulations desert. Friendly and attentive, outstanding and very much appreciated Breakfast was very busy, but the staff remained calm and went above and beyond to get everyone served in a timely manner when they were clearly up against it, well done

Couldn’t fault the place, very good

The location was great as it was within walking distance to restaurants etc. The car part was large and free. All the staff from cleaners to bar staff, reception staff and restaurant staff were all polite and helpful. The room was a great size with a huge king-size bed and large tv. The bathroom was a good size with both bath and shower, toiletries were supplied . We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night of our stay and I must say the food and service was excellent. I can highly recommend the steak. Drinks were of a good quality and choice and there was a cozy lounge to relax and enjoy your drinks. I would recommend the Belmont hotel in Leicester and I would definitely book there again. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a happy one.

The only criticism if any would be the tiny lift but that's just me not liking small confined spaces.

We loved our overnight stay in this hotel. It was a great location for de Montford Hall, being a six minute walk away. It is set in a quiet peaceful leafy part of Leicester, a bit of an oasis in the city. The room was very spacious indeed and had everything we needed but also some nice extras eg great biscuits and bottled water. Beds were comfy and there was a great shower and good towels. Breakfast was excellent. The quality and choice were both high. What was really great was the standard of service from the staff which overall was exemplary. Great value for money. We will return.

Nothing!! Which is highly unusual!

Lovely room, excellent breakfast but only available from 8am. Location perfect for the event I was attending. Was also very impressed on arrival and check in to have the lady in reception say a few words to me in Welsh when she realised I was a Welsh speaker. It was a nice touch. Sadly, I didn't get her name to mention here.

The only disappointment was last orders being called in the bar at 10:40pm. Having come back to the hotel after a long day at the event, looking to sit down with friends and colleagues to discuss the wonderful day we'd had, slight disappointment that last orders were called so early in a hotel. Some disappeared straight to their rooms, others quickly ordered a couple of rounds in, and sadly some missed out as they weren't able to be back in time.

Location was excellent for the train station & De Montfort Hall where I was out for the evening. Was also nice to be situated to the side of New Walk which either takes you into town or out to Victoria Park, where I visited a friend living in Clarendon Park. The bed was really big & comfortable. I had a free upgrade & my bathroom had a bath, which was a bonus. I also liked a lot of the decor.

The reception seemed a long way from the front door, but I discovered the side entrance by the car park, which made it easier. The bar was closed when I got home just after 11. It might have been nice to have had a night cap.

Perfect location for my stay. Within walking distance of train station and central for visiting local amenities. Very well presented & clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Room was a good size with ensuite shower room. Shower was excellent & heated towel rail/bathroom mirror with lights, both very useful touches. Nice complimentary toiletries. Tea/coffee making facilities & a safe which was handy. Iron & ironing board. Hairdryer. Comfy bed. Very pleasant and fuss free stay.

The only minor flaw was that pillows were very firm & I did not find these comfortable. I wouldn't let this prevent me from staying again though.

Fabulous staff at reception, breakfast and housekeeping. They seem experienced, friendly and enough of them. It’s unusual these days, the management must look after them and appreciate the value of sufficient numbers. The space - themed family room was done so well Very good breakfast, esp if you have time for the freshly cooked options There’s low-level maintenance going on in places which wasn’t intrusive and shows it’s being kept in good working order Great location for the train station Easy on-site parking

Mattresses didn’t feel that luxurious in the executive suite room, but we still had a very good night’s sleep

Room very spacious and comfortable; staff cheerful, efficient and freindly. Breakfast was just ideal. Would recommend to anyone needing a cental Leicester location

This is through no fault of the hotel... but the airconditioning unit (I think that was what it was) mounted on the roof outside my room (104) was noisy, and after being quiet over the critical part of the night, leapt into action just after 0600 on the Sunday morning. The Music/band accompanying the party in one of the?hired rooms on the Saturday evening was pretty bass-heavy but it did cease at midninght. This was a relief after a long day!
