The staff were brilliant, both in the evening and the following morning. Theres no restaurant here, but there is a food truck parked outside, and their food was fresh and delicious. I highly reccomend the food truck, trust me its better than you think its going to be !

Its very expensive considering its a 2* hotel. I feel the owner is taking advantage of the people wanting to visit Anfield and Goodison. Its a shame, £140 for one night in a 2* is extorionate, but they know people have to pay it.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a lovely continental which was brought to my room on time. the hotel was quiet and the facilities were very nice. I was provided an iron on request.

My first morning when I had had breakfast and gone to work my tray wasn't collected from my room and i had to bring it down on my return. There was minimal parking. There was a sewage smell surrounding the hotel. I think the hotel is situated behind a pond or a fishing spot. the £150 deposit was very hard to get back due to who i bank with. i feel this should be explained before booking as it was extremely inconvenient.

We were welcomed by a friendly member of staff, she kindly upgraded our room on arrival and added a complimentary breakfast. Shortly after checking in, we received a glass of prosecco each. The staff went over and above and the hotel room exceeded my expectations. I have recommended The Pheonix Hotel to my family as they like to visit Liverpool frequently. We booked this hotel at short notice, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular as the price of the room was so competitive, however we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful the room was and how friendly and helpful the staff were. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, I wish we could have stayed another day. We will definitely be returning.

Nothing to fault whatsoever.

Very convenient for Liverpool modern rooms and great price

Room was exceptionally hot but fan was provided. It was a very hot weekend View outside room was bit untidy rubbish and overgrown weeds fag butt's. If the wall was painted white it would alter its appearance greatly. room 6 was very big but bed was way to small for size of room no tea spoons for tea and coffee. Although some issues we loved our stay and we would definitely stay again bathroom is stunning and finishings in room very modern .

Well to be honest I didn’t know the time of a breakfast , when I went to hand the key the chap on the counter said take what I want with regard to cereal bars , I bought a breakfast up the road, it didn’t spoil my stay by any means, when I arrived early evening the place was full of fans going to a match, having a pre match drink etc, given the rotten time the hospitality industry has had re covid , I can understand the establishment trying to take as much money whilst they could I travelled as a single 60 year old bloke, the week before I had been in USA/ Canada/ Bahamas and wasn’t treated any better at hilton hotels etc than the hospitality at Liverpool, I would revisit, enough said, when I am on my own as a single bloke I have got used to not being treated as well as when I travel with the wife, the phoenix however give me a scouse welcome , I wish the phoenix good wishes for the future and a successful future

The breakfast situation possibly, but it was no big drama to me

Everything.. Was going to a Liverpool match with my daughter and the location was ideal. The staff in the place went above and beyond for us as well. Room was very comfortable and had possibly the largest TV I've ever seen in a hotel. I will most definitely be looking to stay as much as possible when travelling to games in the future. Great place, would highly recommend.

I Wont lie with seeing the pics of the outside I wasn't expecting much but just somewhere to lay our heads after the match, however, it was definitely a case of never judge a book by its cover. Not that the cover when we arrived was in a bad way, outside was as well kept as inside.

We had a lovely stay here at the Phoenix Hotel. The staff were very friendly and happy to help, providing recommendations on where to go to eat, for drinks and local taxi information. Meg was exceptionally welcoming and professional, no request was too much. Our room was very spacious with a big window for natural lighting, the bed was super comfy and the tv was a smart one so we were able to watch netflix on return to the room. The ensuite was a decent size and all in working order, both rooms were spotless.

Great hotel not too far from the city centre (30 minute walk) and very close to both Anfield and Goodison park. Very good value for money! Taxis were around £8 from the city centre on a Friday night.

Our only issues were there was no bin in the room and the bathroom bin was very small. And we were in a downstairs room so it got very loud when people were walking around in rooms above us (woke us up multiple times throughout the weekend).

Nice hotel, very clean, nice decor and a great location for match days.

When booking, said breakfast is available but when we went downstairs was told that not hot food available and the continental breakfast wasn't worth it so we had to go out and get some. I appreciated the honesty as I wouldn't have been happy to get charged £15 for a bowl of cereal and some toast

The location is within walking distance of the city and the room was well decorated and comfortable.

The carpark was not quite big enough to cater for all guests as it only caters for 8-9 vehicles at best given there are 19 rooms when busy at weekends, so if you go out in the evening you may comeback to find there is nowhere to park. On arrival the male member of staff who checked us in did not come across as welcoming and didn't know which room to put us in as he asked how much we paid, however the 2 female members of staff we spoke to were very friendly, helpful and informative.
