The Tower room was spacious, comfortable and with excellent views. Our meals were outstanding and the room was serviced to a high standard. The spa was excellent and of a high standard. A thank you to Tilley whose calm approach made us 10 years younger. Our stay was made very special by the care taken by Sam who was efferent and diligent. No request was too much.

Clearly some areas of the hotel seemed tired. Although the gourmet dinner was excellent and our congratulations to the Chef, the start of the evening meal was extremely hectic in order to cope with the numbers dining. Some members of staff appeared flustered initially due to the lack of table spacing. Perhaps the positioning of the tables away from the serving counters and kitchen doors could have helped. But overall the staff coped extremely well.

I liked the accessibility. I was able to use my mobility scooter throughout the hotel. All areas were accessible to some degree. The staff helped me throughout my stay., Especially when the little lift to the pool was being awkward. Everyone was kind to my granddaughter and made her feel welcome. The food was really nice. The bed was large and very comfortable. All good quality toiletries, not in tiny bottles. We had Sunday lunch the previous week and enjoyed it immensely.

The only thing I noticed in my room, my husband's was more up to date, was the furniture was a little tired., With worn wooden tops and frayed upholstery. The decor also. This did not detract from my stay but at the price I felt things could have been better. The toilet seat was askew but only staying one night I made do.

Breakfast is exceptional, lots of choice, no grease, plentiful and buffet style, very relaxing. The property itself is beautifully quirky, true to its historical past, I wouldn’t alter anything at all. Staff are friendly and non-intrusive. There were no disturbances and never herd a sound from other guests. Our room is very clean, bed huge (super king), we have a bath and a double walk in shower. I just love it !

I have thought about this and can’t think of anything I could suggest to improve!

Central location, nice big car park. It retains some of the old family-owned character, even though it's been taken over by a chain.

The breakfast featured the cheapest way of doing sauces and marmalade. Ketchup and brown sauce were in bowls by the self-service counter. I was unfamiliar with this system so I ended up carrying the bowl to my table, spooning the brown sauce onto my plate and then carrying the bowl back again. Marmalade was provided in a similar way.

THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS, AS WAS THE BATHROOM, WITH PLENTY SHELVING AND THE BED WAS VWERY COMFORTABLE. BREAKFAST WAS PLENTIFUL, WHICH WE ENJOYED AND THE EVENING MEALS WE HAD THERE WERE EXCELLENT TOO, ALTHOUGH WE DID HAVE A 'WAIT' FOR ONE OF THE MEALS.

UNDERSTANDABLE, BUT WE WERE UNABLE TO GET A TABLE FOR ONE EVENING AND ENDED UP GOING ELSEWHERE, HOWEVER, WE ALSO HAD AN EXCELLENT MEAL THERE.

This is a great hotel in a magnificent building and we loved the setting in Llandrindod Wells which had some charming (and historically interesting) buildings and visitor sites. Special thanks to the absolutely lovely staff who worked so hard in the breakfast room and couldn't do enough for us!

We were given a room in a quiet location, which was great. However, the extractor fan in the bathroom was very loud and ran for some time after use. It meant that every time one of us went to the loo in the night the other was woken up and kept awake for some time! Also, we thought it was quite unusual that you're not able to use the spa facilities on the day of leaving after checkout. Everywhere else we've ever stayed would allow you to use the pool, etc, after breakfast.

Helpful friendly staff, especially Macy at the Spa,which is popular, and treatments need to be booked well in advance.A heritage hotel is great character, and lovely public rooms.Food was very good, and enjoyable stay in a place full of character.

It was a little warm, but the hotel provided a van as it was18 degrees, and 29 degrees Night and Day.Quite unseasonably warm for September.

the pool was lovely. our room had a separate lounge area which was great. having so many windows in this area was great as it was so hot a good amount of breeze came through. Bed size was good. breakfast was a good selection. we are in the evening in Spencer’s which was lovely food.

the bath was very small, certainly too small for husband who isn’t very tall anyway. the mattress was very soft and”boaty” like. we had a few plug sockets in the room but not that many and none any where near the bedside cabinets which wasn’t great for charging phone which we needed as an alarm clock. with only 1 window in the main bedroom it was a bit stuffy and no air con didn’t help.

Ideally situated right in centre of town. Lovely breakfasts and good choice of veggie and vegan options on restaurant menu. We enjoyed the pool and spa on a rainy afternoon.

Decor throughout the hotel a little dated and tired, but I totally understand in this current economic climate that the improvement of the decor would be a huge and potentially impossible undertaking.

Lovely friendly helpful staff. We were early for check-in and they accommodated us and kept our bags secure as our room wasn't ready so we could wander round the town. Great facilities, lovely and smart. Interesting building and lots going on. Pool and spa a great asset as not a lot in the town facility wise.

Toilet cistern refill pipes in the bathroom made a fair amount of noise in the middle of the night, clunking and humming?! My partner was still snoring his head off, but it would have woken me up if I was the one asleep.
