Nice warm room in walking distance of Ally Pally, nice breakfast, room beside shower and toilet. Lovely welcome sign in front window as house does not have a B and B sign so may have been hard to find in a road of similar houses.

Room for 3 was a bit snug and cramped with furniture so had to sit on bed at a little table for breakfast, had to wash cups and glasses in bathroom for tea and orange juice as had to use cups and glasses we used previous eve for tea and water Would have preferred breakfast in dining room. If host is still wary of Covid would suggest not doing breakfast and reducing cost. Breakfast could be had in nearby cafes.

Location is brilliant! Less than a 10 minute walk to Alexandra Palace if you are visiting/concert. 10 minutes to the high street for food, coffee, bus service. Bed was really comfy. Breakfast was huge continental breakfast that you could choose from a good list. Host was accommodating and very polite. Really clean, towels were soft and super white. Beautiful little basket with toiletries in when we arrived. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Was a very comfortable stay and we would definitely stay again. Parking on the road outside is plentiful. Very safe and pretty area to stay. I went with my 15 year old daughter and felt safe walking back after the concert had finished.

Rooms don’t have en-suite but our room was right next to the toilet and bathroom which were separate. I’m not fussed on a TV in the room but I know some guests may want this… and there is also no TV. But they do not advertise this as so either just to be mindful of this if it is something you would like for your stay. It is not a criticism at all and we had a wonderful stay. I’m glad that I booked my stay at Muswell Hill! I was welcomed with a lovely sign in the window bearing my name and the hosts kindly accommodated me earlier than my initial arrival time. My room, toilet and shower were very clean. The nights were quiet and the breakfasts were good. My hosts were friendly and recommended some places around the area. Before my arrival, I got some instructions on how to get to the property and what buses to take. I found that very helpful. Thank you Richard & Family!

Not a hotel for anyone who might be confused - but a wholesome b&b stay with a lovely & considerate family. The house is large and gorgeous. The room we had was cosy with a beautiful & peaceful garden view, the beds were so comfortable, the room was spotless, the bathrooms were just next door to us. The host made a special trip for vegan pastries once knowing my dietary preferences which was so kind. We then had breakfast bought to our room in the morning. Parking is plentiful & free on the street outside. Alexandra palace is a 10 minute walk. We didn’t run into any other guests and very much felt comfortable & free. They also have 3 gorgeous Goldens to pet if you love dogs as much as we do.

Very welcoming, immaculately clean, tea & coffee making facilities in the room, fabulous continental breakfast served in our room with pastries, fresh fruit, cereals, toast, yogurt. Road Parking, in a great location if you are visiting Alexandra Palace.

Nothing to dislike, some people have mentioned having a problem with the shared bathroom but it clearly states this we didn’t find it an issue there is a separate wc.

A perfect location for attending Alexandra Palace and all the shops and restaurants in Muswell Hill. Surprisingly easy to park. We received a very warm welcome from our lovely hosts. The room was very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Great to have lots of mirrors too, which can sometimes be a problem with accommodation.

An option for slightly brighter lighting in the room would have been helpful while getting ready. The shower could have been better.

The owners were absolutely great. The room was superb and the breakfast was out of this world.

Although it was clearly stated in the specifications of the property that the bathroom and toilets were common for the guests this was something that we had never experienced before and at the beginning, we felt a little bit uncomfortable. However, the owners did a great job of keeping everything clean and we did not face any problem whatsoever.

Very welcoming lovely home, perfect location for our event at Alexandra Palace. Breakfast was very thoughtful and great options. View was fantastic.

Nothing not to like. But a small note if you are thinking of booking, the showers and toilets are down a flight of stairs. To find the exact location you'll need to ring the owners, so save their number somewhere before making the journey.

Richard’s Bed and Breakfast was a fantastic stay that I’d recommend to anyone. We had read some poor reviews but disagreed with everything they said. We were greeted with a lovely personalised sign and welcomed with smiles. The house is a beautiful old London home and the rooms have a gorgeous vintage style. The bathroom is modern and, even though it is shared, we never ran into anyone. In the morning, Richard brought us a fresh breakfast of our choosing. He also has three beautiful Labradors which are full of love. He asks first if you want to meet them so you won’t feel out of your comfort zone. I was also surprised that there was no dog hair anywhere in the house. He has a cool life story to tell of travelling and photography. We will definitely be coming back!

The location was brilliant for Alexandra Palace! The room was clean and comfortable in a family home! Richard and his family were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet! The shower room and toilet were shared but this was fine, we never saw the other guests! Our breakfast was continental, plentiful and delivered to our room. Parking is on the street but was safe! A helpful sign made for easy identification on arrival! I would recommend and stay again! Thanks Richard and family.

We knew what we were getting but it is shared facilities.
