The breakfast was very good. The eggs were delicious and the bread used for the toast was really good. I couldn’t have picked a better hotel for location - it was perfect. It was so easy getting there from the airport and Paddington Station, and then getting to the places I wanted to go with the help of the Tube app (so great). Also Walkability to Kensington Palace, Oxford Street was amazing. Having pubs nearby was great as well. I went to the Dickens twice for dinner and it was handy just having to walk around the corner to the hotel.

I am okay with small spaces but I didn’t expect the single hotel room to be quite so tiny. I think if I had been able to open a window it would have helped since I felt a bit claustrophobic. But the bed was very comfortable and I was out most of the time so for the location a fair trade off.

They were able to accommodate 5 people in one room, each with their own comfy bed, which was amazing. All the essentials were in the room. The location was perfect --close to everything and in front of a cute park-- and the staff did a good job in answering our questions and finding an extra hairdryer for us. Although we could manage with the one bathroom in our room, there was another one nearby in the hallway which made getting ready in the morning that much easier for us.

The place could use a better cleaning of the walls and floors. One lamp was broken and the other had an intensely bright light. The place isn't soundproof since it's an old building located above the trains, but a simple pair of earplugs can do the trick for light sleepers. Our group was already aware of this and wasn't too bothered by that in the end.

Great choice of breakfast, presented to a high standard

Could have done with a proper ironing board, was difficult ironing certain items of clothing. Pity no lifts, struggled to climb the stairs. Cleaning staff, although very pleasant were a little too noisy in the mornings.

I loved the location and the friendliness of the staff. London is not cheap, and I got a single, private room with more than adequate facilities. My room was small, well-designed and equipped with everything for a decent night's stay and sleep. Everything was CLEAN. I would stay here again, and use it as a base for exploring London. Very well located near Paddington station (3-4 minutes on foot) Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and Parliament Square. Lots of restaurants, convenience stores and grocery stores within walking distance.

Happy with the facilities available

Ideal location - short walk from Paddington station. Nice garden throughout the square.

Needed refurbishment in areas - also we were on the top floor and the last two flights were steep and narrow. Wouldn’t suit anyone with mobility issues as we struggled a bit. Also, I realise no one has control over the weather but with the high temperatures the air quality was oppressive in the room on the top floor (4th). However, we were booked to stay one night and on the next morning saw a load of fans being delivered.

Location, good value for money, clean, most staff were friendly, vending machines, comfortable bed, good breakfast, wardrobe to hang clothes in, facility to store your luggage safely on arrival so you can make the most of the day.

The two men who ran reception were bordering on rude; ignored me twice when I was at the desk, and never smiled once. On checkout nobody was there for the courteous 'hope you enjoyed your stay' sort of thing. There is a card in the hotel info folder for you to fill out and hand in if anything needs to be fixed/sorted, but the request for a new light bulb and a plug for the sink were ignored.

It was in a good location, near the a few stations including Edgware Road and Paddington. Next to many different food places. The hotel it self was decent, beds were very comfortable and for the price we paid can’t complain about anything. Breakfast was good too, they make waffles! Staff were lovely as well. I would choose this location should I return to london and stay there.

Most of the staff, especially in the breakfast room, was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, so all the important requirements were met.

I was a bit sad that you had to pay extra for a full English breakfast and that bacon, sausages and mushrooms were not part of the breakfast buffet. The complimentary items in the room did not include cream, but only coffee whitener, which was not even renewed once used. As the tap water was not drinkable (which is not a problem per se) one had to buy water before being able to make some coffee. Drinkable water should at least be provided.

The location is perfect. And as a family traveling with children, it was great to find a space where everyone could be in one room. Having three children many places require us to get two rooms so the parents end up having to stay in separate rooms.

It was a challenge to go to the fourth floor with all of our equipment and luggage without a lift. But we’ve done this before when we were in New York, so it was not surprising.

the breakfast was surprisingly good; the water pressure was excellent; the location was great and the decor had character. While the single rooms are typically small as one would expect in the core of London, the staff were pleasant.

The room had no bath, only a shower. The shower is a hand held. There is no place to attach it to the wall so you can stand under it. The bathroom has liquid soap dispensers and does not supply proper shampoo, soap, or conditioner. Only one shower towel is supplied and it is thin.
