When I got to the hotel I was met by a very friendly member of staff who booked me in early (as previously requested) which gave me plenty of time to shower and change for the event I was attending. The room was ideal for a single traveller and although there was a party in one of the downstairs function rooms when I got back from my event I did not hear any of it. The bed was also very comfortable and I was able to get to sleep quite quickly.

As for the parking, I was able to park when I first got to the hotel and whilst I was getting ready for my event and I recorded my registration on the hotel system for two days but when I got back there later all the spaces were taken and I could either park in the main car park at cost for two hours or in the High Street about a quarter of a mile away for free. I chose the latter and moved it later when the car park became free over night. I then had to move it in the morning of day two into the hotel car park as there were then spaces and the car park was to start charging at 0800 hrs. I was told that the parking is on a "First come, first service" basis.

Great location and friendly staff. Our room was comfortable and quiet, especially as it was on a busy road through the town. The bathroom was of a decent size and had everything we needed, with very clean towels. All the other facilities were good too. Can recommend highly.

There is no breakfast offered, which is a shame, but Continental Cafe, a short walk away, proved an excellent choice for breakfast and has an extensive menu to suit all appetite and tastes.

Well equipped room, very comfortable bed, great location and friendly staff. Bar downstairs is really nice. Well stocked tea/coffee area

The bathroom (mostly the skirting boards) were very dusty, it made it feel a bit grubby when the sink/shower etc were fairly clean so let it down a bit. Shame they don’t do breakfast but we did discover Mrs Salisburys tearoom as a result which was lovely and would recommend

This is the second time I have stayed at the Swan and was pleased with my choice again. Things I like include the location as it is right on Maldon High Street, carpark on site, lovely owners/staff and decent quality room and shower. The bar actually shuts at 7pm on a Sunday but as we were residents we were able to get a drink when we came back from meeting family for dinner and got recommendations for where to head to for a nightcap.

The mattress was a bit lumpy/soft for my liking but for one night that didn't matter too much.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The food in the bar was excellent .

Everything was there that you needed , but the room was in need of an update. There were no frills to the room , it almost felt a bit neglected.I have stayed in hotel rooms in Maldon for less money and with more facilities. It didn't feel valued for money .

It was the perfect location of our event. The staff went the extra mile to accomodate us having an early check in. The room, including the bathroom, was large, airy, comfortable and clean

The hand basin was the smallest I'd ever seen and one of the cushion covers needed changing

Breakfast was not included but there are many alternative places to get breakfast. Pleasant, efficient staff. Private party held in Cygnet room so The Swan Hotel was an obvious & good choice.

Shower could have been more powerful but was adequate.

A great welcome from the owners. The room was very well presented and the bed very comfortable.

A little disappointed that there was no breakfast available. Although there was many cafes nearby who served breakfast.

Central location, and the room was comfortable. The staff were friendly.

There was no wifi connection at all in the room (despite it stating there was ‘WiFi throughout’). There was nowhere in the shower cubicle to put anything.

Brilliant location with parking, the room although old property with wonky floors was beautifully decorated very clean and comfortable. Stairs steep, may need to take this into consideration if mobility is an issue. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend and would stay again.
