We have stayed here before and think it’s a lovely little pub. Our room was situated away from the pub over the road. Very nice room, comfortable mattress and good quality bedding. Nice facilities, a small kitchen area and great bathroom with small bath and separate shower. Nice hot shower. We would definitely book again as although it’s not too far from where we live it was a quiet village and a nice little mini getaway for us.

The bar area was very loud and busy ( football on) but we couldn’t sit anywhere else due to us having a small dog. However the staff were really helpful and polite and gave us a discount off food bill for any inconvenience. The remote didn’t work both bedroom blinds so we were unable to open both bedroom windows so it was a bit hot overnight but a very minor issue in an otherwise lovely night away

It the place was amazing, so cozy. We checked in at the bar just before 3pm and everything was ready. The lady escorted us to the room that was across from the hotel, which was unexpected but totally delightful!! It was amazing inside and out. Outstandingly clean, eye for detail, great contemporary decor. We had a blast

We've stayed at Harpurs before and came again as we liked it so much. The only thing that was a bit annoying this time was the noise, the bar is always busy and it's a great atmosphere but even after we'd gone to bed it was very noisy downstairs and once the drinkers had left. I know this is nothing on Harpurs and the staff as they can't do anything about it but it was just a shame.

Staff were excellent and very helpful - sympathetic to my hot room situation (below). Food was good and we ate there twice. Pizzas were lovely but too large for more modest appetites, but finished off at lunch next day (at work).

My room was on the top floor and this stay was during one of this summer's heatwaves, so my room was very hot with no air-con, just the window and a fan, later augmented to two fans. As I climbed the stairs I could feel the heat increasing. Room overlooked Main Street, so leaving window open meant traffic noise. No breakfast offered until Thursday, so we had to eat it in nearby Ticknall as the local eateries didn't open until 09.00.

The room was divided into bedroom, kitchenette and en suite … the bedroom is the first room you enter and feels a little small, hot and claustrophobic for a ‘deluxe’ room. The only way to air it is to open the street windows and You can hear all the noises from the street or … to open the kitchenette door and it’s window however you then have to cope with the emergency white light in here that stays on all night. The walls are not insulated so the noise of the upstairs guests returning could be easily heard as they closed the front door, talked in the corridor and opened their door upstairs. no breakfast available Monday to Wednesday!

The entrance is grand. The staff we dealt with were wonderful. The rooms were clean and spacious and the en suite roomy. The breakfast was included and there was a large range of buffet style food including bacon, sausage, hash browns, eggs etc, fresh fruit, cereals, breads, pastries, juices and more. I loved that there were so many quiet seating areas around the hotel that you could escape to with a book. When we did have an issue the staff were exceedingly helpful and quick to respond. I didn’t get to see the gym but it was recommended by another guest. The hotel is set back from the Main Street (it’s very quiet inside) and there was plenty of parking out front to pull into, while we checked in. The below ground car park was spacious and very secure … so not only was I confident that the car was safe but that it was also out of the heat of the sun. On top of all that we found it was a great location to visit all of London … either by taking the train from Cricklewood station, which is a short walk away, or by hopping on a bus just outside the hotel which was even more appealing on our return home, as after a long sight seeing day, it was wonderful to find ourselves just outside the hotel as we stepped off the bus … it was a simple journey to visit The Tate gallery to Madame Tussaud’s and Regents Park.

The air conditioning was erratic and swung from sufficient to good. The hotel has recently changed management and we’re keen to resolve any issues … the price of this place is fantastic and I can’t imagine it will stay this way for long!

Friendly helpful staff, fresh decor, very clean, lovely large comfy bed. Room was on top floor so no noise from bar below. Excellent food.

Bath in the middle of the bedroom - the space could be better used to position the sofa there as the TV was on the wall behind the sofa! Not that we intended to watch much TV but it was a little odd. No telephone in room so popping down to reception if we had an issue was 3 flights of stairs - fortunately no major issues. Shower was very stiff to operate. Would prefer actual menu in the welcome folder rather than QR codes, our phones are a little old and don't support QR scanning!

Fabulous staff, very friendly. Kate in particular went out of her way to help us with safely parking our classic cars. The food was good if a little pricey-£17 just for a Sunday roast (it was delicious though, loads of fresh veg) Great location for Donington Circuit

We didn't feel like hotel guests, just visitors to a very busy pub/ restaurant. A residents' discount for food would have been nice as 6 of us ate here for 3 nights. Sunday morning the teas and coffees etc were replenished but our dirty mugs were not touched. The secondary glazing in room 2 is not complete so we had a LOT of late night noise from the wine bar right opposite our window.

The building itself is a beautiful traditional decorated very tastefully inside and out, all the facilities we required were present. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff that went above and beyond for us. The room itself was beyond what we could have expected, beautifully presented and cleaned to a very high standard - we pretended we were on 4 in a bed and a solid 10 out of 10. Dinner was amazing, drinks were great, location was beautiful and again each member of staff we meet just seemed to be as friendly or more than the previous one, this place was exceptional and we will definitely be returning!!

I could not tell you one thing I did not enjoy of our trip to Harpur's, we were not there long enough

The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and found there to be a good choice and really good quality.

One of our nights coincided with the pub quiz night downstairs so there was a bit of noise but this ceased at around 11pm but knowing we were staying in a pub we expected some noise.
