Staff made us a breakfast basket, as we had to leave at 5am. The basket was exceptional , they gave this to us at the end of the evening, before we went to our room. The evening meal was delicious and great value for money. Our room was fabulous, exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this hotel.

There was nothing we didn't like, and would choose this hotel again, when in the area

This place is an absolute gem! We were sent a message in advance to warn us that there would be no evening meal available on the day we arrived (midweek in January), but the lass on duty apologised and found a characterful local alternative venue (and booked a table for us) where we were well looked after and excellently fed. Our room (Room 1) at the back was spacious, comfortable and very quiet. Decor and furnishings throughout were immaculate - way better than one might expect in a village pub. Breakfast (charged extra, but money well spent) was outstanding - choice of cereals, fruit juices, and cooked breakfasts. The cooked meal was delicious - eggs cooked how you like them, really good meaty sausages, lovely sweet tomatoes (where does anyone find such things in January?), and generous rashers of lean bacon. I'm sure the other items on offer would have been equally good. All served with a friendly smile. These people certainly deserve every success!

I can't think how this could have been improved upon.

Everything was great except the shower, the spray from the shower was very poor & having long hair it took forever to try & rinse out shampoo!! The only other thing was Booking.com shows breakfast priced at £10.95 when in actual fact it’s £14.95, which we did feel was a bit expensive. But overall we loved our stay, the owners & staff are exceptional, the pub itself lovely, in a beautiful village & surrounding area!

Very poor shower in our bathroom - room 2 Breakfast a bit pricey

It is a lovely quaint inn overlooking fields with sleep. The bar and restaurant area are comfortable. A great selection of delicious food on the menu. The staff are all exceptional and so helpful. Grace was wonderful making sure my stay was 100%.

Just the water pressure was on the low side. Might be to to do with the location.

We didn’t explore the area as it was a stop to break up a journey for us but the setting was very pretty. It was so quiet and peaceful. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was so comfy. The food in the bar was brilliant and there was loads of choice.

The shower wasn’t very powerful but the bath was lovely.

A very friendly comfortable pub with very well kept hand pump beers. Good selections of spirits. Both the breakfast and evening meals were excellent. If you are having any of the scrumptious home made pies then you probably won't need a starter! The room was very very comfortable with everything you need to make for an enjoyable stay.

There was nothing not to like from the welcome to final depature awe were made welcome and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

A very pleasant welcome on arrival after 3hrs on a m/bike on a very hot August day. Safe place provided to leave my bike. Shown to our gorgeous room (room 2) with a FAN & on suite. It was a country pub, but the room was huge and really nicely set out. Much much better than you would expect. We had needed use of an iron etc as we were attending a wedding and had clothes crammed in a m/cycle pannier. I was aware one didnt come with this booking after texting the owner. However the owners surprised us. They purchased a new iron and board for the room so we didn't have a problem. The room probably now comes with this facility. At dinner I mentioned liking something that wasnt on the menu. I was surprised with it being provided at no extra charge. Beer was great. Lots of choice. White wine was lovely & cold (day was a scorcher - 36% outside). Bar staff were extremely nice and made us feel very welcome in a pub that was bustling with locals.

10/10. Would have been 11/10 but for 4pm book in, 10am book out! I understand the reasns a business may want them, but I do tend to look for 3pn and 11am as the norm. when booking. .... as an aside, if we were in the room earlier I would have probably spent a further £20-30 on your lovely drinks!

The shower very poor as little pressure But a lovely place and beautiful views I would recommend, breakfast £14.95 each a little overpriced but lovely .
