Beautiful hotel, upgraded room. Fabulous spa.

Unable to eat there! Reception unable to help regarding booking a table or if there were breakfast options, told to go to the restaurant and ask there. Unable to book a table on line The cages by the lifts containing towels were there for the duration of our stay ( Wednesday to Friday) If you are not going to enter the room during a two night stay, then please provide enough tea, milk and toilet rolls!

Receptionist was speaking on telephone and no acknowledgement until after a period of three to four minutes.. She knew we were at reception yet we were blanked during this time. A friendly recognition would have been welcome so initial experience POOR. UPON ENDING THE CALL did acknowledge but then proceeded to use the computer keyboard No other customers or staff at desk. Poor outset experience Shower controls either too hot or tepid water

The property was fine but one of the guests on our corridor left an unattended dog for hours to bark and whimper. We were disturbed by this and alerted the reception staff. Apparently they spoke to the owners who then repeated this by leaving it unattended later the same day when they went out in the evening and we couldn’t get to sleep for the barking. Not directly an issue of the hotel but one which they need to address robustly as it is really upsetting to hear a distressed animal whilst trying to enjoy a relaxing break.

We liked the location, room size, facilities and staff. Price was good too

3rd time staying 3rd time damp mould around needs bleach cleaning Room 224 - Flush needs to be sorted.. took around 8 pushes to work If we had paid more than £65 a night then we would expect a part refund for windows, flush and sad paintwork on bathroom door Will not book via call centre again as prices offered higher than online. Clearly commissioned based selling

Good Location

When I book a hotel of this stature for a mini-break I do not expect to have to book a time slot for breakfast the evening before!!!!!!!!! plus we had to book a dinner time when the Dining Room, when we got there had 6 people in a large area. We should not be returning.

Spa, good size rooms, reception.

The bedroom and bathroom should have been cleaned daily. We stayed for 4 nights with no cleaner. I’ve never experienced this before. Presumably to save money.

Tried to get into the restaurant which was empty but was told we had to book, and we would have to wait an hour? We looked in again later but was still empty so unsure why we couldn’t have just ate there was only 2 of us? Ordered takeaway instead!

Good selection of food for breakfast and evening meal. Great location. Large room. On arriving home found that I had left my address book at the hotel, staff were very helpful in finding it. Lovely approach. Fantastic facilities.

We stayed for 4 nights and room was not serviced once, although it did say in writing it would be. Could leave things outside the door to be seen to. Bins, towels etc but still left outside the door. Had to ask for toilet rolls. Not much drawer space. There were prom nights on in the evenings, 1st one took over 50 minutes to get down the drive and eventually find a parking space at the furthest point behind the golf club house, car got scraped same evening. Although we had a disabled badge. Mentioned it at reception - the member of staff was not interested. Re address book, I did ask if I paid them postage, could they send it on, but wanted pre-paid envelope.

Junior suite was spacious and clean, good shower. Breakfast was a buffet and a good selection of hot and cold, coffee could be much better. Good tea & coffee facilities in the room. Liked not being disturbed daily by room cleaners. Easy drive into the city, free parking at the hotel. Hotel was well decorated for Christmas.

TV in our room didn't work. We were quickly moved to another by the duty manager and given a complimentary bottle of wine which was a thoughtful touch. No Aircon and room did get very warm even in December. We didn't eat in the restaurant as the menu was not to our taste.

Reasonably priced however breakfast at extra charge. Standard Double Room was spacious and very warm. Plenty of parking. Very nice swimming pool (the temperature could have been just a degree higher). The gym is also well equipped and not busy. It has 3 thread mills but just one cross trainer. Great selection of weights. I haven’t tried the golf course but heard it is very good.

Breakfast not included in the rate. No sockets near the bed, which inconvenient for plugging mobile overnight. none of the Tesla Destination chargers are working. The pool temperature could have been just a degree higher. The last admission to leisure centre is 8pm and you have to leave the pool area at 8:40. The leisure centre closes at 9pm, which is a bit early. It would be good to keep it open till 10pm. Restaurant closes at 20:30, which is also quite early for business travellers.
