Very tidy and clean upon arrival and the staff were very helpful and nice at reception. No major issues throughout the stay and any issues we did have were quickly rectified. This apartment had everything we needed and offers great value for money. Also a nice central location with plenty to do nearby. You can’t really fault it at this price.

The apartment was a little bit rough around the edges if you looked closely. One of the days we had an issue with the hot water but this was quickly fixed whilst we were out without a problem. Overall very minor issues though, which didn’t impact our stay.

Wonderful apartment for sure! Can’t really fault it! The staff were lovely, really helpful when our heating packed up, and it was sorted in a flash. Super clean, fresh bedding and lovely towels. Nice little touches like tea towels and dishwasher tabs helped out no end! Great view across one of the lakes, easy to park, easy to find. Good access to local points of interest. Would certainly stay again without hesitation.

Probably being really picky now, but our smart TV wasn’t, well, smart. Normally not an issue when in Cornwall, but in early jan when it’s beating down and dark of an evening we’d like to have had our Netflix etc. Heating was a bit iffy, but it was quickly fixed. Bit more crockery and cutlery would have been cool too. Anyway, I’m really searching for stuff now - it’s a lovely place!

First impressions of the exterior of the “barn” were not brilliant due to all the paintwork flaking, it looked very tired but when we went inside we were delighted. Two lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, spacious living space for two and Labrador, all clean and tastefully furnished, plus a really comfortable bed! Before visiting we didn’t really know what to expect, as mixed reviews on Tripadvisor. None of the reviews however, seemed to elicit a response from Away Resorts which gave us the impression that they are not really interested. Generally most people who write reviews want to give credit where it’s due or constructive feedback.

Service in the bar. Inattentive staff, not sure what it would be like at peak times. We were the only ones in the bar, but despite 3-4 staff members walking past our table numerous times, not one stopped to clear the empty glasses/empty wine bottle left by the previous people, until we were about to leave. There was also lipstick on my wine glass, so we asked at the bar for another, and were met with, “oh they all seem to be like that must be the dishwasher” !! I only mention these things as they are so easy to get right with a bit of training, and leave a good impression.

The apartment for a "small" apartment was infact not so small and was plenty of space for the two of us... we loved the view over the lake and how it was great to have our own privacy but also be close to all the facilities on offer. We only stayed for 2 nights but can not fault the impeccable service from all staff at the resort. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and there is always help to hand if needed. Everything you need off site is just a 10 minute drive away or you can use the local bus or if you would like some one at the front desk are happy to help call one for you. The local area provides lots to do for all occasions and types of holiday bookings such as local shopping, beach days and activities, family days out, cinema, bowling and plenty more. We can't wait to go back in the summer (this resort may even become our yearly uk spot).

There was a single cracked tile/wobbly tile in the bathroom, but it wasn't dangerous or could cause harm or an accident. The rooms can get cold and take a while to warm up. More amenities could be provided suck as small (hotel size) bottles of shampoo and body wash for arrival.

Lovely lodge looking over the lake, couldn't use outside space weather not the best but would have been fab in good weather. Everything we needed inside for a comfortable stay, only thing we missed was wifi and a hot tub. Other lodges had them, maybe they needed to be hired. Would def go back, great value for money, nice and quiet, imagine it would be very busy in season. Loved it.

There was free guest wifi on site, didn't work in our lodge, it had its own wifi but no password was provided, shame as we would have liked to have used the Chrome cast facility on the TV.

Lodge with a hot tub was lovely reception staff really nice and gave us keys an hour early John the emergency overnight man was fab we could not get oven to work on 1st night he arrived within minutes and fixed, spa treatments were lovely very relaxing and friendly atmosphere assault course great fun great location only mins from Padstow, Newquay and Wadebridge

Went up to The Outlook (on site restaurant) on the first evening about 8 o clock and there were lots of tables empty ( only about half full) so we seated ourselves young lad came over and asked if we had booked we said no and he said we could not order food only reservations would be fed. We had no food in lodge so had to drive to Wadebridge ( luckily I had not had a drink) and found an ALDI and bought some pizzas for speed as we were all hungry. We were going to eat breakfast there every morning and a couple of evening meals but made to feel so unwelcome never went back real shame.

Space was really good. Great for a family gathering. Lovely hot tub on the roof. We had plenty of space for everyone and plenty of bathrooms when we had lots of people in the space and it didn't feel cramped or small. The facilities in the accommodation were good and we had everything we needed for the time we were there. The restaurant was good and the food we ate was delicious. Pool was a lovely temperature. Everyone in the spa area was lovely and friendly and the message was brilliant. Great base for exploring cornwall.

Not enough parking. There was only a small bay to park in for 2 lot of 8 berth accomodation. We were a group of people coming from various different locations so had 4 cars. The house next door also seemed to have 4 cars so there wasn't not enough space. Lighting up to and on the roof could have been better. Would be fine in the summer but the cold winter months meant it was very difficult to see when going up there once the sun had set. There is no pavement. Walking from the accomodation up to the pool and restaurant there was no pavement to wall along.

Very modern barn, everything was high spec. No expense spared when kitting it out.

Nothing, it was amazing I wouldn’t have changed everything. The fact there are enough bathrooms for all the family is so underrated. The only negative if I had to write one would be location, that being said we stayed for our little UK honeymoon straight after our wedding so lazing about in the hot tub for a week was just what we needed. If you are looking to explore or be near beaches, you’ll have to drive 20/30 mins to the northern coast of Cornwall which is always busy and too commercial for my liking.

Such a chilled place to be, though might be different in a busier time of the year. Lakeside flat was gorgeous, felt like home from home and had a good variety of kitchen equipment. Great sleep as super quiet and dark. Perfectly situated for us to get out and explore the beautiful coastline and enjoy the area. Cornwall can not be beaten for friendly staff, shops and eateries (especially dog friendly).

The flat was super cosy, but a little hot at night and we struggled to turn it down. We had to go out and buy loo roll, so take one with you! We didn't use the pool or spa facilities as found the booking site difficult to use in advance and presumed it would be too late to book after arrival. Some people might not like walking in directly to the bedroom.

Great facilities on site. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly just so lovely. Food was tasty in the lookout restaurant. Our lodge itself was in a great location. Some parts of it showed some wear and tear like the very creaky floor in the kitchen and up the bottom 4 stairs. The tv upstairs also turned itself off after about 5 mins watching any channel which was annoying but not the end of the world. The previous occupant had taken all the batteries from anything that wasn’t bolted down but the maintenance staff came and replaced them.

The kitchen could have used some oven gloves as a basic item.
