The communication of Clare and Kevin and their willingness to make sure we had every comfort we needed for our stay was very much appreciated. The breakfast provided and quality of food is the best I have ever had. Absolutely, my wife and myself were very happy. Thank you Clare and Kevin for giving us the best stay in Penzance.

It was easy to find. The decoration of the communal areas and also the room was very nice. The view from the hallway is straight towards St Michael’s Mount and lovely. The bed was comfortable. The shower was nice and hot. The breakfast was vast! So many options and well cooked, I left very full and not needing any lunch! The owners are very friendly and it was a warm welcome and breakfast service.

The bed although comfortable but slightly on the narrow side as a small single. The room could easily take 2 slightly bigger single beds. I turned over in bed and knocked things off the table each time. I do move around it bed a lot and am used to bigger bed so maybe just me being awkward. I wouldn’t let this stop me from coming back though. I would definitely recommend 😁

We had a fantastic stay at this B&B! It's a lovely little place very close to Penzance. The owners, Clare and Kevin, are so friendly and welcoming. They were always happy to help with anything we needed. The rooms are clean and perfect for what we wanted. The B&B is also really convenient. It's just a 10-minute walk from the train station, bus station, harbor, and town center. There's a bus stop nearby with frequent buses, and parking is available for guests with cars. The breakfast was excellent too! I highly recommend this B&B and would definitely stay here again when I'm in Penzance. Thanks!

Myself and my mate stayed here to watch Cov Rugby at the Pirates. This was a great place to stay. Only a short walk from the train station. With Clare, the front of house, and Kevin in the galley, we were made to feel very special. Kevin's cooked breakfast was excellent. Plus the array of fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal, and extra toast/tea/coffee if not already full..!! A very nice touch was fresh milk in the fridge outside your room. It was spotlessly clean, clean towels if required each morning. WiFi good. It was like home from home. You are doing a cracking job. Thank you.

The Bay Lodge was a wonderful experience on many levels! From the greeting by Clare the uber friendly owner who directed me to my really nice single room with a balcony and answered any and all questions that I had. The balcony was a nice touch even in January where I had a nice view of St. Michael's Mount. Bay lodge is very conveniently located, about a ten minute walk from the train station and town. The breakfast cooked up by Kevin was delicious and very filling. Clare was great to talk to about goings on in Penzance and the surrounding area; she even gave me a "Clare" map with suggestions of places to go. Clare and Kevin could not be more accommodating. I've stayed at a number of B&B's, but I must say The Bay Lodge is now my favorite.

Great location within easy walking distance to town, amazing hosts who provided numerous recommendations for local dining and area attractions, excellent made-to-order breakfast, very comfortable room with good wifi; we loved the coffee/tea options in the room with cookies and really appreciated daily supply of water bottles

our bed mattress as a little stiff; our daughter was very comfortable in her side bed but we could have used a slightly more supportive mattress; everything else was very comfortable and convenient

The house is conveniently located within walking distance of the station and the town-centre. It is spick and span and I had a room with a view of the sea and Saint Michael’s Mount! A substantial breakfast is included and there is an efficient WiFi connection. But beyond that, Clare and Kevin were friendly, welcoming and resourceful hosts. They gave me very useful information about visiting the place. I would totally recommend Bay Lodge and would definitely consider staying there again.

Attractive building in a salubrious area, with a heritage feel. Warm, friendly and helpful proprietoress. The jewel in the crown was the exceptional quality of the breakfasts: I cannot speak too highly of the cooking. I had a superb view of St Michael's Mount from the little balcony area outside my room.

Perhaps the towel could have been slightly larger.

This is a brilliant place to stay, especially because Claire and Kevin are wonderful hosts. They make you feel at ease straight away, and will go out of their way to make you comfortable. This is not a 5star swanky hotel with spa pools etc, but a homely place to stay with warm & friendly hosts, and it is spotlessly clean with some nice extra touches (eg fresh milk for your tea & coffee in your room, very good home cooked breakfast with high quality fresh ingredients). I would give it more than a 10, if I could!

The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. They go out of their way to assist you with anything you may need. Due to the fact that our car had broken down we had to make due without but fortunately, there's a bus stop at 2 min' walk from the B&B so we took the bus to Marazion for our trip to St Michael's Mount and a taxi to the Minack Theatre. It is rather a distance away from Penzance centre but if you have a car, that shouldn't matter too much. Breakfast was great and the positive attitude of the hosts gets you in a good mood for the day immediately. The room is simple but spotless. The beds were rather soft but we didn't have any back pains regardless. We were allowed to store our luggage until the taxi arrived to take us to our next destination and received a special code to enter the house which was really nice. It's a pity there is no place to sit, outside of your room. Outside, there are also very limited possibilities with only one small table with two chairs at the entrance of the B&B.l As it is, that didn't bother us during our short stay (2 nights) and being in the B&B only to sleep anyway.
