We were worried after reading other reviews but on arrival were pleasantly surprised. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was ample. Rooms were a little dated but good size and clean. Towels and bedding looked new and very clean. Breakfast was included in our room rate and was fine, with vegetarian option if required. The purpose of our stay was that we were going to the Reading festival. The festival and the town were both easy to walk to. The price we paid reflected demand during the festival weekend, so we didn’t feel it was unreasonable. The hotel even accommodated an early check in because our room was ready when we arrived. We would stay there again if returning to the festival another year.

The bed was not very comfortable.

Situation and base structure/amenities of the Hotel where good, more of a 4 star than a 3 star Hotel that this is. I also liked the free parking facility, breakfast was also good and Hotel Staff were very attentive.

Bathroom was a bit worn and is in urgent need of upgrading/maintenance as shower/bath fixings were loose and held in place by silicone paste. Overall Cleanliness was also just, replacement of used towels/shampoos, emptying of bins, bed made without change of sheets at any time during my four day stay which was a bit odd and would suggest that they rectify/address immediately.

I stay in the Parkside international Hotel for 4 night which included the weekend, As one of biggest hotel critic to meet my standards is hard, not been personal with anybody, i live on a high note, you know what im saying, i excepect respect is great on both sides, i never had a problem with my stay or the staff at Parkside international hotel.

The only thing i didnt like was the weather, I loved the breafast, but i dont eat pork or bacon, these could of thought about me and my diet, I thing if the shief look in to get a subtitue for the PORKthis is only a subjection, like beef saugages or chicken, because they out there for people like my self, im not vegaterain, so not really like the vegatarain saugages.

Very good rooms, well furnished and presented in very clean condition. lift to rooms a very helpful feature. Located on the main road, however concealed behind high trees. Food and drink very good, Dinning area clean and comfortable. Service here good and prompt. Noted extensive building work, so hope to see a improved hotel.

Finding the hotel, located behind high trees hard, even worse trying to find it at night. Access via another hotel and sharp turn up a ramp confusing. Really needs better sign posting and lighting.

Very clean and tidy rooms, staff very polite and cooperative. Free parking, breakfast was delicious. Room was very cosy and neat. Would surely recommend and come again.

There was nothing as such not to like. Parking is within premises but not gated. However, there are CCTV cameras and I was convinced that staff take rounds around to ensure everything is in order. If gated will provide more confidence and feel secure to visitors. It is just a suggestion. My car was safe.

We needed a hotel last minute for Reading Festival. The price for this hotel was the cheapest of things left but definitely (of course) an inflated price because they know it's Reading Festival. So was expensive for a mid range hotel. It was a 30-40 min walk to the festival which was fab. We don't mind a bit of a walk. The staff were friendly. The room was fine. The breakfast was good.

The room was comfortable, location was ideal. The front of the hotel looks really nice The staff were polite and friendly.

The fire alarm went off around 11.30 for no reason. The access to the hotel was somewhat off putting and looked very scruffy. Some of the guests looked very unsavoury.

I liked my room it was very spacious, cosy and very clean and being at the top of the building there wasn't a lot of people walking past your room late at night.

There were one or two hairs in the bathroom on my arrival. The noisy lift it could be heard very clearly in the room I was in and maybe could do with a little attention. No fault of the staff, but a polite note in the rooms asking guest to have a little consideration for other guest above, below and next to you after 10.30;at night. Two nights were perfect so quiet and peaceful. My last night was terrible because of the guest/s below, who were banging doors(didn’t really know that there were that many doors in a room to bang!!) continuously, I gave up trying to sleep in the end. It will make think twice about booking again or recommending the hotel to any one. Some of us are there for a relaxing time and not to party all night.

This was a last minute budget option and I expected everything to be at a minimal level. On the contrary, the staff were very helpful, the room FAR bigger than I expected, the cleanliness impeccable, and the firm bed as comfortable as the one I use at home (although I can't vouch for any other beds!). Everything is spacious, even the cupboards in the room, and accessible even for those lugging large suitcases and the place was, not silent, but very quiet during my two-night stay. My room had a good-size two-person 'dining' table and chairs, plus a huge desk with office chair, so lots of room for organising things. Tea & coffee things hidden in one of the many cupboards, lots of sockets!

I little bit of extra care could make a difference to some people but, at these prices, you can'r expect high staffing levels and investment. The shower needed descaling and the 'office' chair had a loose joint that needed glueing. Like many hotels with shower-baths they should install safety handles or rails in the bath area, and not just for the elderly - they are essential with wet, slippery feet.

Quiet place just what we needed at budget pricing.

Sink was blocked, needed to swap room. It may be temporary issue, but we had a lot of annoying flies coming into the room if we opened the window.
