Excellent hotel. . Room had a fabulous view. Staff lovely and very helpful. Cocktails great.

The roads leading to the hotel were awful. it was a shame about the restaurant. We had an evening meal and 3 breakfasts. 80,% were cold, not a lot of choice. We used the hotel next door for food and was excellent. Such a shame. Our perfect hotel was often 20% full in the restaurant.

Superb location. Bedrooms-large balconies with great views, very comfortable huge bed. Living and dining areas are great. Lots of outdoor space when the weather is optimal.

Slight confusion with breakfast. Booking.com states breakfast included-it only includes continental breakfast. I understand the hotel is going to ask Booking.com to amend this detail.

The Harbour Beach Club Hotel is a great hotel . It’s just outside the lovely town of Salcombe. It is very close to a small beach. The hotels facilities are good with lots of outside space . All staff are extremely helpful. Our room was not a sea view room but facing out the back overlooking a green field and woodland. It was beautiful and very quite. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

The only disappointment was the breakfast. The continental buffet was ok but could be better for this type and price of hotel. Very limited offers on cold meats and cheese. There is a cooked breakfast Menu but all options from eggs on toast to full English is an extra £ 10 . There are no eggs available with the continental breakfast. It would be great if the hotel could include all breakfast items in the room price .

Great location apart from the weather but still beautiful. Would love to rey the venue in the summer when you can appreciate the surroundings and outside space more. Great food and breakfast I read fee negative comments about the continental but it was far from standard. Maybe not an abundance of range but great high quality product.

Just a little too quiet but that just comes down too time of year it just meant that the restaurant and bar lacked some ambience due too be being so quiet but nothing wrong with a nempty quiet spa. The restaurant just lacked a little bit of service too could be a one off again could be time of year but there where no kinda of check backs or personal touch really but was clean food was good and presented well.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the harbour beach club. Having grown up in Salcombe many moons ago and having helped run the watersports centre at South Sands, I know the area well. The staff went above and beyond at every instance. The room they gave us was the one nearest the boathouse, which was a really thoughtful touch and greatfully appreciated. Food, drink and facilities are top notch. We hope to come back next year. X

As the other reviewers say , simply include the cooked breakfast in the price, such an easy win for you. My only other suggestion would be to have some colourful exotic foliage in the pool area to give it a distinctly tropical feel. 🌴 🌞

Absolutely stunning hotel, nicely decorated, rooms beautiful. Beds were incredibly comfy,we had complimentary gin and tonics in the room on arrival, luggage taken up to the room for us, staff walk you to your room and explain everything incase you need anything. Spa was also lovely, full access with the room. Would definitely visit again. Loved our stay.

The only thing that cropped up was at breakfast, we had paid for the room and breakfast included, when we went to breakfast we had to pay an extra £10 per head for a cooked breakfast, apparently the included breakfast we had paid for was only continental, which we didn’t actually use as expected a full English, so this is very misleading and it doesn’t state anywhere on the booking. If breakfast is included this should cover all breakfasts.

There’s not much to dislike. The Location right on the beach south Beach is fantastic. The whole hotel is really great. Excellent outdoor space, restaurant, spa facilities and the rooms are gorgeous. We booked a Valley facing room, which means we weren’t looking over the bay, but it was fabulous anyway. The Valley is not bad to look at either! The food was great, the restaurant is lovely and we were really impressed with the spa facilities. Overall, a great place to hang out. Of to mention the bottle of free Gin in the room that is topped up regularly. It’s a shame I don’t drink!

Location right next to the beach and everything geared towards enjoying it. Such a relaxing atmosphere. Facilities at the hotel were excellent. Not many hotels allow you to use their towels on the beach, this hotel even provided them specifically! Shower was absolutely fantastic, very rare to have a really good powerful shower. Free shuttle bus into Salcombe was fantastic with very regular service in both directions

Generally everything is overpriced but in-line with other similar hotels. Minibar could easily be complimentary but instead the prices were very high Size of the room was quite small. I do find it frustrating you have a room for 2 but only get 1 comfortable chair. Yes, there were 2, but one was a desk chair, they are not comfortable. Make sure and read the small print, only continental breakfast is included. £10 extra if you want anything cooked

The beds are very comfy and the location is great. The staff are very kind and friendly and the breakfast was tasty. We didn't eat here other then the breakfast so can't comment on the food. The shuttle into town and back is a great idea too!

You are asked to leave your car keys with reception, one evening we went to request our keys and there was no one on the reception desk but lots of car keys left out This is a major security risk for us, anyone could reach over and grab someone's car keys off an unsupervised reception desk and drive off. I don't think it is value for money. Our windows for our sea view were very dirty on arrival. The bath/shower took ages to drain as was incredibly slippy. I requested an iron which never arrived. The spa is lovely and very clean but 2 out of 3 showers were out of action and the jacuzzi was out of use due to cleaning. Cleaning of facilities should be done when the spa is closed to guests for the evening, not on a Saturday mid-day.
