Location was great, few minutes walk to beach and resturants where the food was fantastic. Castle was just round the corner aswell. No onsite parking but has a long stay car park just opposite. Scarborough arms pub just to rear of hotel, very clean and welcoming pub. Room was a bit small but very clean and comfortable, with clean on suite shower. Would definitely stay again.

I had an excellent stay for 2 nights in room 8 . It was a single room it had everything I could have wanted. Comfy bed with tv . Warm Shower plus a sink and a toilet. Kettle with tea and coffee milk and sugar plus more downstairs if you run out. The Wardrobe had plenty of coat hangers plus there was a set of drawers and a cupboard. There was a fan and a heater if required. Downstairs was an hairdryer and iron available. I slept like a baby not a sound ( unless I opened a window then I could hear the seagulls!!!! ) . For the money I paid I couldn’t fault it.

If I am being picky the view of a brick wall but I didn’t go for the views plus the bedside table was too far away from the bed.

Very pleasantly surprised. I've walked past the hotel on previous visits to Scarborough and thought it was just a small B&B but it has quite a lot of rooms, and a good lounge area and bar. (I didn't use the bar but you go through it to get to the rooms so I noticed it). Lovely lady checked me in, I'd only gone to drop my bags off but there was a room ready so I was checked in early which gave me a bonus few hours to explore. Location a few minutes walk from the town centre, railway station probably about 10 minutes walk. Easy access to the beach and sea front facilities.

Bedding was just a sheet on the mattress, no proper mattress cover. The sheet got rucked up in the night while I slept! Some towels looked bleach stained but they were clean. Couldn't get a mobile internet signal in my room, didn't realise there should have been wifi as nothing in the room to say, although I understand it's only available in the communal areas anyway. These are only minor complaints, the overall experience was very good and I would book again.

The Staff are friendly and welcoming, Everywhere is clean. On entering we were greeted with a smile and told we had been upgraded. No breakfast included but plenty of places to get one nearby. Room was of usable size no squeezing around any side of the bed, plenty of walking around space. Windows clean No mould in the shower. 3 star accommodation at its finest. Fresh smelling towels supplied in the room. Usual soaps, shampoos although we use our own. Tea making facilities supplied, didn't use as her indoors brings her own. Although it doesn't have its own car park it does have The North Terrace long stay car park at its back door, so no problems with parking. £10.80 for 24 hours at the time of posting, but if you use your car the ticket is usable in other car parks around Scarborough see car park board for details. Small side note, The Other end of the car park has a fine pub called The Scarborough Arms selling food and of course various drinks. Location was handy although there is a bit of a walk uphill from the harbour but there is lots to see along the way. Plenty of Shops, Cafes and Pubs Nearby. I would Gladly stay again.

Don't like this section as it's not a didn't like, more what let you down a bit in our eyes. Sadly the Only downsides are, The remote to our TV didn't have a back on it and some areas of decoration need minor touching up. Otherwise it's perfect.

Good location for town and beach.comfy room with bathroom.quiet Street even with pub just around the corner.i did have trouble getting hot water in shower but the host came and sorted it for me very kindly.

From about day 5 until my 10th there was a lot of noise coming from other rooms.people shouting and talking loud banging doors all this was between 23.00 until 01.00.so I didn't get much sleep.didnt complain not very often saw the host.i would have thought people would keep the noise down if coming in late.even so I still enjoyed my time there.

Nice and clean, comfortable, and very reasonable compared to almost anything else in the area. Location was quite convenient too, with several eating options nearby.

Just about everything in the room was broken. (The fan had a leg missing, the front pulled off the desk drawers, shelf under sink fallen, shower door off its runner, bedside light only half attached to wall). I am not complaining though, it was quirky, and I was not expecting everything to be perfect for the price paid, which is the most important thing to me.

The room was clean, compact and the location of the hotel was central to most attractions and event I attended. The hosts were very polite as well.

The hotel is advertised as having Wi-Fi, however the connection does not reach into the rooms and is only available in the common areas. Considering Scarborough has really bad mobile data connection, I tihnk it would be invaluable for travellers to have connection available in rooms.

Proximity to parking - I could see the car park over the road from my hotel window! Parking was free after 6pm in winter and then £9 per day. Proximity to the centre - it was a short stroll downhill to the seafront, and near to the centre of town for shopping. I had a single en suite room, which was quite spacious compared to others, as it was at the corner of the property and had a spacious wardrobe, too! I loved the seaside pictures on the walls…I did mention to Reception I was cold in my first night as there was a drought under the door and the over bed light had no lightbulb…this was sorted the same day - When I came back to my room there was a new bedside light and a small portable heater, so the Receptionist was very welcoming and efficient, thank you!

I found the bed a bit high - but not really a problem, in the grand scheme of things! There was no lift.

Usual convenient, clean and comfortable ensuite room with tv etc.

Through no fault of their own, the hotel had to close because the ground floor had some flooding on the first night. As we had no other option, 2 or 3 people were allowed and opted to stay (our rooms were on upper floors). The only inconvenience being, we couldn't use the front door but were able to use the 1st floor fire exit. (had contact no to call to be let in in the evening).

Fabulous location, 5-10 min walk to the town centre. Parking nearby was a bit of pain, as the machine only excepts coins, so that was a right faff. The hotel itself was so peaceful and quiet. The bed was really comfortable. The cleanliness was good, but there was a bit of dust around the tv. The staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all, a really lovely, quiet hotel, with good tv and tv and coffee facilities. Would definitely stay again
