Great place to stay for Oxford or Cotswolds, understand t new management, with a great team headed by Rob . The breakfast are amazing, with quality meals using locally sourced fresh produce & meats too. Rooms & beds are very comfy. Referb is on going and will improve along the way. Naomi heads a great team and James has made a difference to the new team. Well done . Great potential for the future . As a trained hotel, restaurant,cruise ship , service assessment Director ( retired) l feel well placed to review this property, well done team! Also there are buses outside the property going to Oxford and Swindon every 20mins ! Don't even need a car !

Carpark surfuce has some loose slabs , but are under repair this week , so will soon be level again .

The welcome on arrival was lovely - a really smiley energetic chap who worked the whole of our two day stop. Great breakfast - plenty of choices. Had supper there one night which was delicious, live band in the back ground. Overall a great stay with lovely staff

Ideally placed in the centre of the village with a pleasant pub atmosphere,the room was clean on our arrival plus there was tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Parking was on site as well which is always handy.

Very helpful owner who went out of his way when I couldn't get a taxi and made sure that there was no noise after 11 pm. Friendly athmosphere . Luxurios and extremely comfortable room plus huge bathroom. Packed breakfast included blueberries! Everything worked and parking practically on the doorstep.

The location for us was perfect for us to visit relations. It was a very hot day when we arrived but the room felt quite comfortably cool as was a nice drink in the bar. Parking was available close to the room.

the staff were exceptional and so helpful and kind. they let us check in early and even kindly send back an item we had accidentally left in the room free of charge

Friendly, obliging staff. Great pub/dining/sleeping layout. chalet type rooms out the back were great for dog. Great breakfast and evening meal.

Charming room, 15 min walk to the Defence Academy :)
