easy to find, but high parking charges. welcoming staff. Room clean and comfortable . Breakfast good value for money, it did the job for one night

didn’t like the concept that council are -allegedly putting up rough sleeper s and illegal migrants in the hotel. Not the most pleasant experience watching a person in front of me cleaning his ears out at breakfast.somebody tried to get into my car as I was parking about 10pm. Was warned by regular guest. about mixed residents. I don’t think I would make a return visit.

Convenient to train station. Room very clean. Bed a little more firm than I would prefer. Staff great. Breakfast good. The reason we chose ibis budget was due to being pet friendly. Will stay there again. Liked the ability to delay check out until 1130 am.

The price for our stay on Friday & Saturday nights were very high (almost triple) compared to the rate that was posted for the property for a Sunday night stay. I understand that 5 cruise ships were in the port on Sunday morning, and the Southampton boat show was on, but wow it seemed way out of line for a 2star property

Room had all basic facilities you would expect for business travel, and at this price range. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Checkin and checkout were quick and hassle free. The wifi was good. Room was clean and the bed was made. The shower had good pressure and the water was warm. The room was the right temperature. The location is good if you are visiting the city for business or using the city's transport facilities. Carpark has CCTV.

A lot of noise outside at night due to what appeared to be street racers and the local McDonalds drive through. The insulation on the window did little to stop this noise.

Location close to bus and train terminals as well as cruise terminals. Bedrooms were small but clean with in-suite bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet separate so multiple folks can use facilities at once. McDonald's right next door for late night snack or quick and inexpensive meals. Continental breakfast was very good. Reception allowed us to store luggage for a few hours following check-out, which was very helpful.

Honestly, it met my needs for a budget hotel. Nothing fancy or extremely comfortable, but clean and not broken down.

Consistent quality of service and usually reasonable value for money. Good location, very close to the central railway station. McDonalds, TGI Fridays and Boots pharmacy just next door. Fairly close to the city centre and shopping mall/cinema.

Hand wash and shower gel were not refilled when I arrived. However, this was sorted the next day when requested. It would be helpful to have more washing machines/dryers, as they seem to be in high demand

One night stopover with adult son. Booked a room with 2 beds, a double bed and a big single bunk above. The room was very clean and comfortable with a TV. The bedding and towels were good quality. Excellent location. Walking route from Railway station took less than 10 minutes with plenty of lights controlled road crossings for pedestrians

No kettle in the room although I knew this before booking and could have paid at Reception for the use of one .

Stayed for one night before sailing to the Isle of Wight, and chose this hotel as it was dog-friendly. The bottom line was that it's cheap and cheerful. Ok so there are no mod cons but you don't expect that at this price. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower hot and powerful and the room was clean.

There were no hot drink making facilities in the room but I believe these could be obtained from the reception for a deposit. The hotel is right next to McDonalds so a hot drink could be obtained from there.

The hotel is in a very central location right next to the Ibis and Novotel. It was easy to find and there is plenty of parking, which was reasonable value at £10 for 24 hours. The staff were very helpful and having previously signed up to All Acor, I was able to check-in early, which was great. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable with air conditioning and a window that opens (safely). There was basic soap and shower gel in large containers, much more eco-friendly than those little bottles! I didn't try the continental breakfast, but it looked OK. There is a McDonalds right next door, which might please some. I thought the price was expensive for this grade of hotel, but it is right opposite the cruise terminal and it was boat show week, so I guess it was realistic really.

Another power point in the room would be helpful; people smoking right outside the front door.

The staff were excellent - despite the computer system being down, they were quick at sorting the booking in and had everything ready to help. Breakfast was good, plenty of options, and quickly refilled. When the lift got stuck at breakfast time, if was dealt with quickly.

There were not enough staff on in the morning for breakfast, so the one staff member was trying to handle the breakfasts and a problem with the lift, and talking to guests.

One of the most unusual motel rooms I have stayed in. It was very simple, minimalist and modern. Clothes storage was a rod protruding from one corner with a few hangers. The shower and sink were in another corner, not in a separate enclosure. The Water Closet was a small closet, the width of a door. A simple plastic stool was the seating. Minimal design but fully functional. About a 10 minute easy walk to Gate 10 Cruise Ship terminal, the main reason I chose it. And not far from the train station. A McDonald's and a TGI Friday are in the same block.

Over priced, the Travelodge in Portsmouth was less than half the price
