Return visit, mainly because the food was so good the first time. It was just as good this time. Blade of beef is amazing!!! Breakfast was equally as good. Rooms are snug but for one night, it's absolutely fine. Bed, breakfast and dinner deal is really good value.

Heating was set to 25 degrees in our room when we arrived fairly late. Struggled to cool down the room before we went to bed, even with window wide open. Loud noise outside our room, possibly linked to kitchen fans? Went off at around 10.30pm. Back running at 7.30am. Additional mechanical noise kicking in sporadically throughout the night. Heat and noise led to an uncomfortable night with disrupted sleep. We sat in a snug area for a drink and quickly realised the manager was interviewing a member of staff at the next table, about a formal complaint he had received. This was quite awkward and seemed inappropriate and unfair for the young staff member.

Staff were amazing, food was 5 star and will be returning for both bed and the food. Manager was making sure everyone was more than happy and was a real gentleman. Both waiter and waitress we interacted with were spot on, even got to witness the perfect pint of Guinness with a small tree on top and the good grace of the lady who served us with a smile even though it was busy. Plenty of room so you felt part of the place but could hold a conversation and not feel like people sniffing your neck like most places that try to fit 30 people in a small room They even provided room service with a smile as they knew it was a bit busy for me in the main pub. Was a Saterday evening, some people smoking by the front door were a bit noisy BUT that’s to be expected. Apart from that was amazing

The staff are so lovely. We had tried to book in the restaurant for our evening meal but couldn't get a table. We went down to the bar to eat to find out the lovely lady had managed to get us a table in the restaurant. The food was excellent, I had the seabass my husband had the the fish & chips. The room was really nice we had a view of the goats in the field next door. It was very relaxing & slept really well.The llamas at the back were a lovely surprise, was so nice to have an evening walk & see them. I had eggs florentine for breakfast which was the best I ever had. My nephews have recently moved to Stafford so we will definitely stay here again. I would definitely recommend. Xxx

Breakfast was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly. Dinner was very good. Plenty of parking and great to see LAMA's and GOATs in the field behind the garden. The rooms were named after the Lama's.

We returned your email with the request for timings for arrival, breakfast and dinner it would appear that you did not tell the hotel and therefor we DID NOT have a reservation for dinner and their restaurant was full. They did serve us a meal in the bar area. We booked a time for breakfast. The room was comfortable be it noisy due to various heat pumps/AC units/extractors etc. just outside our room.

We had a warm welcome, the service was friendly and laid-back. Breakfast was automatically included - and tasty. The shower (lovely big towels) and bedroom were lovely and comfy and everything was prettily decorated with lovely little touches like the hamper of tea making materials and friendly cats on the premises. The weather was very hot and there were fans in the rooms. We had our dinner there too and it was very relaxed despite the lateness of the hour. Checkout was a relaxed 11am- nobody was standing outside waiting for us to leave.

I can’t find fault. The rooms were very warm but it had been 31° and it’s hard to have cool rooms. No faults!

Wonderful place, the view was amazing from our room. There is an Alpaca farm you could see them running around. We had a blind and curtains to block out the light, which was great. The room was beautifully clean, bright and airy. We were greeted by Jamie who was one of the bar staff, he helped us book in quickly as we needed to be at our daughters wedding asap. Jamie was fabulous went above and beyond. Thankyou 😁 we will certainly be returning if in the area.

Slight moan unfortunately, we were woke up early by a constant humming, I looked out our window and saw that their was a large out pipe from the kitchen right outside our window. This was consent and noisy.

In a beautiful location lovely views, the restaurant/pub is lovely tastefully decorated and the evening meal was really nice. The rooms were lovely each room was named after a llama that are in the field at the back nice touch comfy beds great shower very clean

We were above the kitchen so was woke up by fan at 7.15 both mornings it was outside our window, could have done with some coat hangers and the dressing table needed a light minor things really compared to overall stay

Arrived late, past 11pm but that was no bother for the staff who were very welcoming. The room was great but cold, however I played with the thermostat and it was cosy in less than five minutes. The room was good, the bed comfortable and the shower hot. The breakfast was also excellent. I ordered the mini full English - it was substantial. I suspect that the normal version is huge. All in all a great experience.

The Manger was especially helpful and very efficient seeing us to our accommodation. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The front of House restaurant Manager was super busy and efficiently dispatched patrons to their tables, he was exceptionally kind and fitted us in; we hadn't known to book in advance. The food was good value, great choices and variety. Service from everyone; all the young woman waiters as well was "beyond". Also, I liked the character of the place - lounge and building and bar. Bonus - fun Llamas to watch being fed.

Perfect location for a trade show we were attending at Stafford County Showground. Every single member of staff was so friendly and helpful. The menu and food were amazing. We ate in the restaurant both nights, every table was taken which is a sign of a good restaurant, the pub was really busy. Great breakfast with both full English and a vegetarian option and they were very accommodating to our tight time schedule for the mornings. The room was a good size with clean and fresh linen and towels. We will definitely be back.
