Ground floor room. Absolutely stunning. Roomy and spotless. Lovely and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast and good choices. Wonderful location in the heart of Stamford.

The location is excellent and the hotel has great indoor and outdoor spaces with lovely staff in all areas. The whole place, inside and out, was very well maintained and clean. The rooms are well equipped and the beds very comfortable. Rooms have a full range of facilities that are topped up daily. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Not enough useable storage space.

What a great find this hotel was. Excellent location, secure car park, friendly attentive staff throughout and great breakfast. Well appointed individual rooms with white fluffy towels and pillows that you could relax into. Everything was great, would recommend this hotel with confidence.

Cheery, friendly greeting on arrival and staff throughout the hotel always said hello and were attentive. Made us feel like we were welcome and it was much appreciated. The cosy double room was a bit small but we only stayed one night so wasn't an issue, otherwise decor was tasteful and the room was clean. Breakfast was amazing. The choice was excellent and the table service was a joy - so many hotels just have self service breakfast. Food quality was great and staff so friendly and engaging. Lovely outside tables and chairs in courtyard with a profusion of flowers and plants and olive trees. So nice to sit out there and the service from the bar was quick and excellent. Location just superb, could walk to everything in the town. Really, just faultless.

There was four of us, we loved everything. Nothing we didn't like. We'll be back!

Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. The room was very comfortable and shower good with lots of hot water. Very good location and very quiet at night.

All the staff were great and welcoming, The hotel was well appointed, centrally located and had ample and secure car parking. The bedroom was large and very warm which was nice. The breakfast offer was very good, plentiful and varied, The staff were always responsive and regularly came up to us and replenished our drinks which was appreciated.

Would have liked a vegetarian cooked breakfast offer. The mattress in the bed in room 11 didn't fit the bed and there was a gap at the head end, which meant the pillows fell into it. This was a bit annoying but a minor issue!

Just returned from a one night stay at The Crown in Stamford and can't recommend it highly enough. So much so this will be tge longest review I have ever written! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a gentleman with a lovely smile who showed us to the reception. The lady on reception was really welcoming also, explained how to access the car park (a huge plus in Stamford to have an onsite secure car park) and warmly checked us in, gave us a map of Stamford and then personally showed us to our room in the Townhouse across the road from the main building. The room was number 31 and was stunning! On walking in the room it  was so inviting with stylish decor and furniture with lots of lovely touches, a wonderful 6ft bed, high quality toiletries and tea/coffee/hot chocolate were complimented by a delicious flapjack and a great bathroom with the best walk in shower ever.  Everywhere was extremely clean and the bedding was crisp white cotton, a medium/firm mattress with fantastic pillows and duvet too. After unpacking we returned to tge bar and enjoyed a flat white coffee with a complimentary flapjack served by such a warm, friendly and welcoming gentleman who also served us at breakfast the following day. We had a super day exploring Stamford and the following morning was blown away by tge continued excellent service and incredible breakfast (high quality produce, beautifully presented and deliciously devoured). We enjoyed our stay so much that on checking out we booked to return again later in the year and have opted for a signature room in the main hotel as a surprise to look forward to. The hotel is clearly extremely popular with guests staying and also locals with the bar area always busy with customers enjoying the ambience and superb produce and service. There is an outside seating area also which would have been lovely in warmer weather with ample seating and an outside bar.

Location, Parking, Food and Staff. The Townhouse room was nice and quiet.

Location: Perfect for visiting Stamford Room: Small but very well designed, with excellent bathroom.

Room: Just two real drawbacks: First: no refrigerator in the room, even a small one - so, no cold drinks in the evening - and, the room being in a town house about a hundred yards away from the hotel itself, it's a long walk to the hotel's bar. Second: Instead of a bedside cabinet, there is just a pathetic square about 6x6" attached to the wall, just enough for a water bottle and a glass of water - but spectacles won't fit. Still, everything else in the room was good. Breakfast: No buffet but a set breakfast: Juice, main course and tea/coffee. But if one orders an English breakfast or smth. like eggs benedict, you won't get toasts and jam with your tea. And if you order toasts and jam, you can also order a fruit plate or yogurt - but no English breakfast or anything equal. Strange.
