What a beautiful hotel, had a wonderful stay. Cosy room was more than big enough and very well presented and comfortable. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. Hope to return soon.

We did try the pool, unfortunately the jacuzzi were out of action and the gym was ok. It wouldn't stop us from again as we had a lovely 2 night stay. Thank you

Great location and views of lake . Newly renovated very comfortable rooms beds bedding etc Good bathrooms . Breakfast adequate. Breakfast staff very nice . Fresh bottles of water and tea coffee facility in rooms very nice . Smart TV good . Congratulations to the new owners for their hard work.

Check in slow at reception . No record of breakfast as an extra on checkout , we paid by being honest and telling them ! Pool booked up not able to swim as hadn’t pre booked a slot. No decaffeinated coffee available in blossoms breakfast day 2.

Fabulous little ocation and setting overlooking Rutland Water. Quality of food in restaurant. Friendless and helpfulness of staff.

We’ve been visiting the hotel every year for the last 30 years to a friend’s timeshare in the main house and the grounds have always been immaculately maintained which we now feel are being neglected somewhat (grasses not cut / hedges not trimmed / abundance of weeds) but hope this is just a temporary issue whilst the redevelopment work is being carried out. Also we wanted to add a gratuity to our dinner bill which we were paying by card but were told we couldn’t as it would go to the hotel and not the staff and were told it needed to be in cash which we didn’t have. This wasn’t very well received and made us feel a little awkward.

Location was great and overall looked lovely from outside

Bathroom needed a good clean-the surface was clean but corners filthy. Windows were absolutely filthy-spoiled the view over the water. Bedroom was described as cosy double. They may as well be really honest and say cramped double with hardly room to move around the end of the bed. I was glad I was in the room alone, sharing would have been a nightmare. Restaurant staff in the evening were dozy. Forgot one meal out of the two we ordered. Then my daughter asked for a tea-never arrived-forgotten. Staff were pleasant but dopey and slow!

The location was excellent and the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. Bathroom was clean and the shower had excellent water pressure. Cleaning staff were very friendly and flexible about when to clean the room so huge thanks to them for working around us. Balcony view of Rutland water was fantastic.

There isn't any air conditioning in the rooms and when we stayed the weather was hot. We did have a fan provided but it didn't do much to reduce the heat unfortunately. The food prices at the on site restaurant are very expensive, although there is decent vegetarian/vegan choice on the menu which is helpful.

The location exceeded expectations and was stunning. The interiors were thoughtfully and superbly designed. Access to accommodation was good, similarly parking too. The Blossom restaurant with bar was spacious with very attractive, comfortable interior and terrace seating that had distant lake views. The atmosphere there was very pleasant indeed and great service. The breakfast was excellent and generous with a variety of fresh fruit.

The weather was hot, so written information about how to operate the fan in the bathroom would have been helpful to have in the room information, as not visibly obvious. The meal we had, which was more of a snack by choice, included a salad that was tasty, but minimally sparse, that was a surprise considering the quality of food generally offered.

Room had a lake view, which was stunning. small balcony, which was perfect to sit and absorb the atmosphere. The location is quiet and restful, so although this was a 2 night stay, we felt we had been away for much longer. Access to the lake path was simple (across a stile) and we spent a day walking around the lake, returning using the Whitwell / Normanton ferry. Great location, just enough parking spaces, they are developing the top end of the site, which may have lost a few spaces short term.

Nothing really to add; coat hooks in our room would be helpful, so we could just hang them up. We mentioned this to reception when we left; it is only a small detail, not a failing.

THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN,GOOD DECOR,COMFY BEDS,NICE COTTON BEDDING. LIFT TO THE FLOOR OUR ROOM WAS ON. ALL STAFF FROM RECEPTION,RESTAURANT ,CLEANERS,SPA STAFF ETC EXTREMELY NICE AND HELPFUL-WITHOUT BEING CONDESCENDING-WHICH OFTEN HAPPENS IN OTHER PLACES TO THE ELDERLY!

BEDSIDE LIGHTING COULD BE MORE INDIVIDUALISED-SO THAT ONE OF YOU WANTED TO READ AND THE OTHER SLEEP WOULD BE EASIER.I KNOW WE WERE TOLD THE JACUZZI WASN'T WORKING DUE TO THE BUILDING WORK-BUT I DIDN'T REALISE THERE WAS NOTHING ELSE IN THE POOL AREA THAN THE POOL,WHERE DUE TO THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN I COULD ONLY SWIM IN THE DEEP END.NO FACILITY TO WALK IN POOL/NO SAUNA/STEAM ROOM ETC.ALSO YOU HAVE TO WALK RIGHT TO THE TOP OF THE HILL TO GET TOWELS-WE WERE OFFERED A BUGGY RIDE BUT DID NOT REALISE HOW FAR IT WAS FOR SOMEONE WITH LIMITED MOBILITY

We were delighted to be able to have our room for extra time, [paying a supplement], and loved the modern design and space. We have stayed with you before and had the same type of room. View was spectacular. Spa was really good and sensible prices. Newly refurbished restaurant is great, but it would be nice to have the option of sandwiches, all evening, as well as during the day. But the new "lighter menu" choices are appreciated. Good position for touring area.

Prices are quite high, it would be nice to have "special offers" and discounts, then we would be visiting you more often. More cartons of milk in the room, nowhere near enough, for the lovely selection of tea/coffee on offer.
