Colin met us at the door after a quick phone call (we made a very last minute booking so there was understandably no one at reception) to show us the apartment and give us the keys. Colin was super friendly and approachable, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome! The apartment was very clean and cozy, and there was clearly a lot of love put into it - little personal touches like a guest book and a guide to local attractions and restaurants made it special. The apartment had an excellent location, looking out over the water, and close to the main areas of Stranraer. The washing machine and clotheslines in the apartment were also a very valuable and much appreciated feature!
Shower was a little noisy, which was only an issue cause I chose to have my shower late at night and felt guilty for the other guests!

We booked a self-catering apartment for 7 days & we had the most wonderful time visiting places from our hub in Stranraer. The apartment was so well set up with everything you could possibly need - having a half fridge & small freezer was brilliant and the local supermarket was within walking distance. There was also a petrol station close by. Nothing was too much trouble. There is a huge free open carpark across the street, there were 2 ferry ports for our day trips, there is an elevator, great free wifi and excellent security. All of the apartments are wheelchair accessible too. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Colin and Margaret, her husband and her colleagues looked after us if there was anything we needed or wanted to know. Excellent value and definitely a place we would book again if we ever come back to Scotland. We have no problem recommending this as a fabulous place to stay and, in our 6 weeks driving around Scotland, we can honestly say it was the best.

Excellent location, lovely views from bay window across the harbour. Great comms from the owner. Comfortable and clean. No noise from either road nor adjoining apartments. All safety checks done with certificates visible. Great value for money.
Kitchen well supplied with appliances (eg proper cooker, air fryer and micro) but cooking utensils a bit random eg no wooden spoon nor casserole dish. Cutlery a bit random (although had a bread knife - hooray!). Bath a bit slippy - would be good to have a rubber mat available for those who need it.

The Appartement was perfect and was good value for the money. it was in lovely condition and It had absolutely everything needed for a self catering stay. we stayed 6 nights but would have happily stayed for two weeks. The view over the old harbour was great and it was very quiet at night. it was very easy to park, if not on the road outside, in the free car park just opposite.
Normally i can find a negative, but i cant with this place. it was great and at last somewhere where the pricing is right.

Fantastic location with lovely views. Free parking just over the road. Very easy key collection. Lift to upper floors if needed. Lovely and clean in communal areas. Friendly staff and local people. Nice little pub 30 feet from front door. Very well equipped apartment (#7), decent shower. Very well equipped kitchen, even had an airfryer, if I'm not mistaken. Double bed, bunk beds, plenty of storage space. Lounge had TV, 2 chairs, 3 seater couch, dining table. All in all a cracking apartment and a cracking stay in Stranraer.
Struggling here. I think the bath towels were pretty new so were not the most absorbent. A few more washes will sort that though so.....

The apartment was everything you could want, clean and welcoming with every appliance you needed. The location was excellent with everything within a few minutes walk. The view was lovely, made you feel you were on holiday. The host was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Whatever you want from a short break or longer holiday then this apartment will not disappoint, we will definitely be returning.

We booked 10 minutes before arriving (at around 21:00 on a Saturday night) so we defeated the normal check-in procedure! But we still managed to get into the Reception using information received by email but, of course the room keys were not on the Reception desk. However, we were able to sit in the warm and made contact with the owner (Colin ARKLESS) who quickly came to Quay Head View to show us to our room. The apartment is very clean and well appointed. We had an early start on Sunday morning so didn't stay so very long. We would love to come back sometime (the Gods willing) and spend more time in Stranraer.

Only stayed for 2 nights but the apartment was lovely and soooo cosy. Margaret was so friendly and very helpful! The apartment had a washing machine which was great after 5 days of travelling. Lovely views and very close to town centre. We had a 2 year old toddler so was very handy to have the playground right across the street and have YouTube at hand on the smart TV 😊 Great stay would def be back. Oh also had an air fryer, my biggest fan!

The apartment was extremely clean and very homely feeling,the sofa was extremely comfortable the bed was too,great views from the window,s and just about everything you would want is supplied in the kitchen.
A light in the hallway had some kind of sensor that kept constantly switching on and off.But you can switch it off.There is enough light in the hallway from the lounge area so is,nt much of a problem.

Would recommend these apartments. There is everything you need including an air fryer. We were in apartment 8. It was great. The kitchen was very large. It was a clean and bright apartment and the view was great overlooking the harbour. There's a lift to all floors. The apartment has a really comfy living and dining area with a large TV.
