It just does exactly what it says on the tin. Nothing special but it's a really cheap and cheerful, conveniently located place to stay. Has beds, kitchen, bathroom. It's not the ritz but you wouldn't expect it to be.

There could be a rule communicated to guests, as part of the check-in procedure when they arrive, that you CANNOT speak on the phone in a shared dormitory after a certain time. It should be common courtesy but most people don't have that sadly. An 8pm cut off for phone conversations and/or a rule where you can ONLY take calls in a public shared space - not the bedrooms (which would be even better)

Very secure yet central location. One of the best hostels I've been to in terms of privacy in the rooms. 10/10 clever design. Spacious and private dorm. Two bathrooms in the room! Highly recommend. Plus really helpful and welcoming staff on hand 24/7.

Bike secure room was visible through the door but has two locked doors in-between so it is safe. Noise of drunk girls waking me up in the middle of the night but wasn't the hostels fault. Perhaps it would be good to be able to request a quiet dorm due to the central location. Not something I've seen before but that would be great!

This is excellent value for money if you just need a place to crash at night, with the kitchen a very welcome bonus. Even though I was in a 10-bed room, it had 2 en-suite bathrooms, which was almost as good as a private bathroom as there were so few of us sharing each. The staff is very friendly, and the hostel is an easy walk from the station.

The only drawback is not to do with the hostel itself but my room was overlooking the high street and I was there on friday and saturday night, both of which were RAUCOUS and there seems to be a karaoke bar across the street that went on all night. I would advice bringing earplugs if staying on weekend nights.

This is a great and accommodating hostel. I have had several stays here, the staff have been so helpful with everything and kind. The location is amazing right by the stations and in the centre of the city. For the price asked it really can’t be beaten.

The water pressure in some showers (not all) is too low (just a trickle of water) for a normal shower or to wash long hair. But this is a (very) minor point to fix because other showers are fine, normal water pressure, hot and the bathrooms are clean and private.

Nice hostel with a bit different interior design and this makes the hostel special. That kind of hostel would be very expensive in other European tourist cities. So price is win win.

Location is good just problem are clubs on the other side of the road on another street with loud music (very loud), my ideal location would be mumbles or waterfront. Maybe I wasnt lucky but in the hostel were some grumpy guests who didn't know what is a concept of hostel: one lady was shouting on another guests in a dorm just because of using bathroom too long (altough there are two bathrooms in dorm) and another man with shopping trolley was extremely unspleasant with his comments.

It is in the centre of the city and train station and people who work there are friendly and helpful. I was happy with a cheap deal I had, but next couple of days it become more expensive. The kitchen is big with loads of equipment, lovely view and has a good social area.

Steps to the top bank were very hard to clime up and down. If you are not very fit, I would avoid it. Shower wasn't very good in our dome room. I also was very disappointed in the inconsiderate behaviour of my female neighbours, but it could happen anywhere.

Firstly, it was my first ever stay at a Hostel, and the experience was made perfect by Rowan, and all the other staff, their friendliness, and overall attention to the occupants and their needs exceeded my expectations, and my nervousness of staying somewhere new. I arrived into Swansea around 8.30am, many hours before my 2pm check-in, but contact with Rowan previous, I was able to store my luggage in a locked room until my check-in time. The female dormitory was perfect, with 2 bathrooms for the 10 occupants in the room. The bunks (pods) were comfortable, and a perfect compact size, with power socket and light in each. The storage compartments for each occupant were spacious and easily lockable by padlock, and safely stored under the bottom bunk. The kitchen/dining/common room was spacious, clean, and has everything a hostel needs. The kitchen had 2 hobs, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, kettle, toaster, and fridge/freezer. The cupboards had specific ones allocated to food to share, which I didn't use, but put some of my food in when I checked out... ie - bananas, chocolate bars, and croissants. The dining/seating area was plenty big enough for quite a few occupants, and was clean. The sofa/tv area was spacious, with 4 sofas, and a massive projector tv, which had Netflix, amazon and other channels on it. There was also games, and a variety of books for use by the occupants too. I read one of my books whilst there, and also left it at the hostel so others could read it. The WiFi was perfect for me, and didn't have any issues.

Nothing i didn't like.

The facilities were quite nice, the kitchen area was kept very clean and well equipped. The location was really convenient, there were plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Bed was decent.

The bathroom was uncomfortably hot for some reason. Like there was a towel heater and a room heater on at the same time. There were also no curtains, but they had curtain rods on some of the beds. Having curtains really elevates a hostel stay since it helps provide a sense of privacy, I was a little disappointed to not have them.

I have booked this hostel for one night , must be the best hostel I ever stayed at. I love the way the beds are designed and the fact that are more than one bathroom in the room. woke up looking at the castle. it’s a bit noisy in the morning, but didn’t bothered me much, the staff member who booked me in, absolutely lovely, thank you!! got a really good bed. I love the size of the beds , extra light you have above your mattress just in case you don’t wanna disturber others if you need the light, the kitchen is fully equipped and there is 24h reception.

it’s not that I didn’t like, but it can get improved. a few people don’t have that common sense and courtesy of turning off the lights when it’s getting really late and don’t have the understanding that this is a common sharing space so we should be mindful about others on the room so I think the room should have multiple lights with different switches so when someone in a certain part of the room can have the lights on if they needed while the other rest of the room can enjoy their unlit space. also, again this is mostly common sense , you will think, but the door is kept being slammed when in and out so probably an anti slam door is needed

I had the opportunity to stay in a hostel for the first time. The staff was very nice and friendly, and the room was very clean and tidy.

One minor drawback, although not significant, was the lack of parking. I was also surprised that the two beds I reserved were not next to each other; one was on the lower left and the other was on the upper right, even though there was no one staying on the upper left. However, overall, the experience was very positive. But now I know that I won't choose hostels in the future because I don't particularly like the idea of someone else hearing me in the bathroom.
