Excellent staff, couldn’t fault them, delicious food and lovely pub. Very comfy bed, nice to have fresh milk

WIFI signal in the room was very poor, ridiculously long wifi password in the pub! Small details overlooked. Reed diffuser on windowsill old and empty, towel in bathroom on top of pile not folded neatly, just dumped on top. You had to move kettle to reach a plug socket. Sadly very few people staying so lacked atmosphere, we were the only table occupied at breakfast. Garden lacked any “ country garden” vibes. Grass, tables and view, not a flower in sight in the height of summer.

The property was fantastic. I believe the owners have not had this place very long and in the time they have had it they are doing a marvellous job. The decor facilities and food and service were superb. There were a lot of little extra special touches that made such a huge difference. One was fresh milk in the room for the morning cuppa most essential instead of those awful little UHT pots! So saving on waste. They also use refillable little jars at the breakfast table for marmalade, honey, and jam etc…  and give you a good portion of fresh butter in a ramekin instead of the little packets. Also saving on a waste  The evening meal & service was fabulous. Couldn’t fault (I’m pretty fussy too & why not if I’m paying.

Didn’t dislike anything about the property, food or service. There were a couple of damp patches in our bathroom, but the owners are still updating the premises as they are quite new owners. Apart from that it was absolutely lovely 😊

Fantastic location, easy parking, lovely generous comfortable room and very easy to access. Fantastic professional staff. Amazing evening meal! Amazing breakfast! Would definately stay here again and would recommend to others.

Just a few small things, shower head was broken and needs replacing. Towels were only supplied for two people and not three. The shower room extractor needed to be cleaned. The shower mixer was hard to conrol, either VERY VERY hot or freezing cold.

The staff were friendly and went over and above. The pub itself is beautiful both inside and out, as are the surroundings. My only regret is not staying longer. Would/will happily go back again.

Only minor comments such as I forgot to ask what time breakfast was, and was hoping it would be written down somewhere. There was no cot available so I had to bring my own travel cot, but they let me know in advance. I cannot think of anything else, it was lovely.

The location and the helpful and friendly staff make this a lovely place to stay. Our room was comfortable but unfortunately there were some issues which meant some of the electrics were not working in our room. Staff were very apologetic and gave us a small discount when we checked out.

There was nothing about the property that we did not like but if you are going to a concert at Audley end and are booking a taxi please note it cost £110

Very nice location only 10 mins from Duxford Imperial War Museum. Have stayed here before 5 years ago. Definite improvement with new owners. Very welcoming when we arrived and nothing too much trouble. Dinner and Breakfast excellent. Will definitely stay again.

This just has to be one of the most charming and welcoming pubs in England (can't say for sure, haven't been to all of them). The guest rooms are modern and simple, but very comfortable. Outstanding breakfast.

Taxi service could have been more reliable.

Attention to detail. High quality serviettes while dining. The same when using the toilet facilities- top notch towels. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Fantastic food- both breakfast and dinner. Couldn't fault it.

could have had a fan in the room. Would have asked for one if it was any hotter. The bed was hard, I like a softer mattress
