Jan and Steve were lovely hosts and had time to listen and chat to you. Room was clean and tidy with everything you needed for your stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked by Steve and there was a very good choice. Use of lounge to sit and read and there was games if you wished to use them. Perfect location for the harbour which was a 5 minute walk away. Parking on street just above property free but outside a permit is required which they will provide. Tea and coffee facitilies in room but there was also facilities in the dining room as well. I you are hesitating as to whether to book - dont be hesitant. Book it and you will not be disappointed.

All was good

How friendly and welcoming Jan and Steve were. The Guesthouse was lovely decorated with nice touches. lots to offer at breakfast time. The welcome book was very useful and informative of what's going on and places of interest. Also to mention was a complimentory bottle of prosecco on arrival. This was a hot to start my birthday celebrations. Will definitely recommend this as a great place to stay and we will definitely return again. Thank you to Jan and Steve for making our stay memorable.

Nothing to complain about.

Dawn is very helpful and a kind person. Has time for her guests and makes you feel comfortable. Room was very clean and tidy and smelt fresh aswell which I liked. If you're looking for a peaceful place to stay with a professional person running the place who is willing to make your stay as comfortable and happy as possible then this is the place. Will definitely be booking again one day. This accommodation is also perfect to park up outside the guest house which dawn provides you with a parking permit and you can literally take a nice stroll down the road and you'll get into the town and to the seaside will take around 10 minutes and it's very easy to walk to. Dawn has also made a nice little touch in her rooms. You'll find on your bedside table a folder full of useful/helpful information of places that is dog friendly / dog friendly places to eat. Things to do etc. I will also add this is a dog friendly house which makes life even more easier if you have a pet.

There's nothing to not like here the owner is lovely so is the whole of the house.

The room we stayed in was lovely, spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The house was nicely presented and well kept. The host was so lovely and friendly. The breakfast was delicious! Lots of variety of food on offer! Great that we were able to bring our dog with us too! Location is ideal for a short walk in to the centre of Torquay. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast! We left with big smiles on our faces and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

very friendly (even the neighbour offered to help with the suitcases), big room with enough space, two baths, good breakfast, parking space in front of the house, and of course Hector the dog Owner gave us good advice for dinner

no night curtains, it was too bright to sleep (but none of the B&B's we stayed had night curtains) beds a little too small for grown-ups (we booked a three-bed-room without especially mentioning that we are all adults) we got an email to confirm, that we were still coming to Torquay, but didn't see that in time (offline during road trip)

Excellent breakfast my daughter ate double her normal breakfast it was so good. Room very clean. Not far from town. Owners were welcoming and helpful. helped with suitcases etc. Changed TV for us without our asking. Replenished refreshments, clean towels etc.

Parking even with a parking pass was not easy. Not a lot of space to park on arrival day. On a hill so steep walk down to centre.

Accommodation is very clean, lovely comfy bed with quality bedding, well cooked breakfast and lots of choice, very frendly host and you are greeted by the friendliest dog called Hector! We booked the family room which was perfect for Mom, daughter and myself for our 'girls only weekend' and we had our own bathroom and shower room which was perfect.

The only downside of this B&B is it's on a very steep hill which was not a problem for my daughter and myself but my Mom found it hard going.

Lovely people working hard to continue a well reviewed busines

Booking.com being incompetent in setting up the new owners on the Booking.com system to enable the owners to continue this good small business meanwhile booking.com has the usual poor level of customer service that Internet businesses are renowned for so the iwners can't sort it out. As a result the business is no longer visible on the booking.com website and can't take future bookings.

Great greeting from Dawn and Hector the dog; clean, comfortable room with super-comfy bed and good shower. The breakfast was really good - don't order the Ashleigh breakfast unless you are particularly hungry - it's enormous! Good location, about 10 minutes walk into town, about 20 minutes to the beautiful and practically deserted Meadfoot beach. The parking was a little challenging but plenty of space up one of the side streets. If we return to Torquay we would very much like to return to Ashleigh House.

Parking slightly challenging but persistence pays off. There is nothing else not to like.

Good size room and although the bathroom was separate from the bedroom it was two seconds across the corridor and as far as I could tell we virtually had it to ourselves . The hotel is run very efficiently and was lovely and bright with the our room having large windows on three sides of the room. We didn't hear any other residents so we had a wonderful nights sleep which was followed by a great breakfast freshly cooked to order. Plenty of choice from full English to pancakes and bacon with maple syrup -delicious and generous portions.. I would definitely stay here again and would happily recommend this small hotel /guesthouse to friends. This place is great for going into Torquay or going to visit the area around and on Meadfoot Beach which is gorgeous. All within walking distance .

I was unsure about not having an en- suite bathroom at first but this did not prove a problem as mentioned we had the bathroom to ourselves .
