The hotel is a lovely place with very good quality views overlooking the sea

We booked the back room as there cheaper and as we have stayed several times we know the rooms at the back face the trees But there's no need for the place to be scruffy and rubbish left outside and definitely not on the little roof top we where back in Torquay this weekend but didn't stay with you As you know there are lots of New hotels being built and some getting refurbished So keeping old customers happy is a must

The room was very comfortable and the staff were nice the breakfast was excellent

The restaurant was closed when I stayed also stopped serving food in the bar outside at 5pm also the hotel was a long walk to Torquay Town Centre

Great location, facilities and the food was delicious. The room was very comfortable with lots of extras such as usb charging ports. Considering this was a basic room, it was very good! The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would strongly recommend booking a table in their restaurant as the food was very very nice!

The only fault that I can think of was that there was (what sounded like) an extractor fan on throughout the night outside our room (somewhere outside). it wasn’t loud and didn’t keep me awake but I can imagine it may be ther someone else

The location was beautiful with stunning views , the facilities were good and staff were friendly breakfast was nice - outdoor bar was lovely table service was fast and the food from the outdoor bar was good

There was a long wait on the bar Wednesday as they have a dj on and it was open to guests and the public which made it difficult to get served, the outdoor pool heater wasn't working so pool was cold and we didn't have our room cleaned on one of the days we ran out of towels toilet roll and teabags but reception was helpful to replace them. Dinner was a little too posh with not many options to choice from

The hotel had lovely old world charm, comfortable large room overlooking the sea. Great vibrant terrace bar with friendly helpful staff. Excellent facilities providing activities for all ages and abilities Location of the hotel perfect

Furnishings in the main hotel and rooms starting to look a little tired, could do with refreshing and complete refurbishment in places. Changing facilities in health suite poor Service in the restaurant slow and slightly haphazard at times. Menu limited and no changes made over the week

Amazing pools, outdoor snooker, beach front hotel with deck and patio, beach cafe close to daddyhole plain carpark with walk through forest. Amazing staff Tuesday to Thursday. Rooms were nice and neat and furniture was nice we had a firm bed very clean carpet..

Some hair had escape the hoover and was on the curtains. Bathroom needed more detergent one of the showers were damaged. Food was not as well cooked as could have been mid week but by Friday was amazing. Breakfast selections were vast and adventurous. Was over 30 minute walk from harbour and any local shops and very hilly area.

The location was absolutely stunning. From the manicured lawns to the beautiful views of the sea. Our room was comfortable and it was a good size for our family. It was meant to be a couple's retrear but last minute change in plans meant we had to take our little ones. So the separate room for them was perfect for some privacy. Loved that. We also enjoyed the indoor pool.

Would have liked the TV to be a Smart one to enable watching from Netflix, but that's a small issue. We weren't able to dine at their restaurant due to our dietary restrictions but would have loved things like croissants, pancakes or waffles rather than english breakfast.

The view was amazing, quite mesmerising, we stayed in the Lawrence on 3rd floor. Our room was a really good size, it was very clean with a large comfy bed. Nice touches with biscuits, bottled water in the room. Breakfast was very nice indeed, a very nice selection, well cooked and presented. Staff were very nice & helpful

There were some things, however, this in no way spoilt our stay and certainly wouldn't stop me from visiting again as it was a lovely stay: The Hotel was a bit tired in places, skertins by gym and pool, were in need of repair or replacement. Paintwork on ladies toilet door, and wallpaper that needed sticking back in other areas. The water pressure in our room wasn't the best and plug didn't fit the sink. These in no way major things as what was good was very good indeed, but these little things just let it down a bit unfortunately. We did go in March so the start of the season, and some maintenance work was being done, so hopefully all I have mentioned will be rectified.

There was a large selection for breakfast to suit all tastes. My wife, fussy eater, even tried things she had mever had before......and liked them. The location was wonderful, lovely views over the sea. There's an hourly bus into town or a taxi will cost about £6

We were very lucky with the weather which made the rooms very warm, even with the windows open. This is a big ask but some sort of air con would really add to the ecperience

The location was great, meadfoot beach is beautiful even in a a storm. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bar area is nice. Good quality free WiFi from the room. Indoor pool was nice, dated, but warm.

The hotel is dated past the reception and bar area. Not awful and to be expected for a British hotel but could do with a bit of updating. Our room was an okay size and had everything you could need. The bed however was awful. One half of the mattress was completely collapsed. Also the shower in the evening took a good 10 mins to get up to temperature. Walls are paper thin. You can literally hear everything from the room either side.
