The location was good and we found the green across the road useful with the dog. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was nice. The provisions for the dog were great - bowl, bed, treat. One of the rooms had air conditioning and a fridge. These were great and would be a useful all the other rooms. We enjoyed the live music on one of the evenings and appreciated that the cut off time was adhered to for the families staying there even though the entertainment was so good the crowd would have continued to be entertained past that time.

The mattresses did not have a nice feel - difficult to describe ?coarse/gritty through the sheets. Maybe a mattress topper would help? As mentioned above the fridge and air-conditioning would have been a useful addition to the second room.

Breakfast excellent selection of food. Food and coffee always hot. Serving staff - very good and pleasant and helpful Evening meal - plates were warm but food could have been hotter. Ambiance of hotel was good.

Our room - would have appreciated a net cutain on our window as persons going on to the roof bar area passed very close to our window and were able to see into our room as they passed. Drew the cutains during the day if we were in our room and people were coming up to this bar area. Also our room would have been very noisy if there had been people using the roof bar area (which thankfully there weren't). Guests should be warned about the siting of this room and that it could be noisy. Difficulty getting in and out of the shower had to step over the edge of the bath - worried about slipping a handle somewhere might help. Stairs up to 1st floor are quite steep - may cause trouble to older guests - are guests warned about these?

A charming hotel in the heart of the village with friendly staff. We stayed in the loft apartment with two dogs, which had ample room and a comfortable atmosphere and amenities. Although the rooms were above the pub’s bustling courtyard, this room was behind double doors and exceptionally quiet. We had a lovely time.

I only didn’t give a full 10 because there was always something amiss with cleaning. A wet towel (not ours) was left on the ottoman next to the sofa, the dirty bathmat (left on the floor) was not changed, the bathroom wastebasket was not assembled back and left in the middle of the bedroom, caffeinated coffee filter was replaced by decaffeinated, and so on. None of them a big deal but noticeable.

The location is superb and although there isn't any car parking it was relatively easy to find a space on the square. We were travelling with our dog and were made really welcome. There were lots of other dogs staying at the property. The quality of the food was exceptional. Lovely beers too. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The Small King Size room was a little smaller than I expected. Also it was very warm in the night. A fan was provided which helped but air conditioning would have been nice for the price we paid.

The location was perfect. The atmosphere of the pub was really buzzing. The breakfast was excellent the choice and quality could not be faulted. Staff were really helpful with any requests made and freindly.

As a guest checking in communication sent by booking .com sent us to the wrong location. Parking was a challenge as none on site and the staff were a little vague about where to park. The room had no natural light the headboards and light shades needed cleaning. Quite noisy as a pub on the Saturday morning at 7am when the bottles were collected.

The breakfast was amazing. Quite expensive if bought separately (£18+)but as it was included in our booking we didn't have to pay extra for it. Rooms were nice and clean and there was no much noise around. We stayed at the Arch House so we had free parking which is not something they offer if you stay at the Globe Inn. Just to clarify: The Globe Inn is made of two separate buildings, the Globe inn and the Arch House, which are around a 5 min walk apart and conditions are slightly different depending on which building you end up staying at. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

Finding staff at the Arch House was a bit tricky, but everything else was great!

The Globe is nicely situated in the leafy Georgian centre of the town. We chose Wells to stay for a brief visit, mainly to visit; Sandringham, Houghton and Holkham Halls and the property was ideally situated for this purpose. Our bedroom was clean, quiet and comfortable , both dinner and breakfast were nicely presented and enjoyable. This was our first visit to Norfolk and we found a warm welcome from the staff, this coupled with finding a very friendly town, left us with an excellent impression of the area during our all too short visit.

The Globe does not have parking for guests but we did manage to find a suitable free space on the street in the Georgian square near the Inn.

Very good breakfast. Location was great, as I was birdwatching so able to travel easily between reserves at Titchwell Holkham and Cley. Wells also very good for birds. Staff very good.

I asked for a bedside table in my single room and for instant coffee instead of coffee machine. Both needs met immediately. Parking was difficult on Saturday but fine for the rest of the stay.

The location was fine, although sometimes a little difficult to park. The food was very good and very generous.

Access to our room was via a steep staircase where it was a challenge to manoeuvre our cases although luckily we were offered assistance by the manager. The heating in our room was set very high and at 4.00 am, when the radiator was still extremely hot, I had to crawl under the table to access the thermostat and turn it off. That must be a waste of energy in these days of high fuel costs.

It is slightly off the front in Wells, in a quieter area, which is good if it's the height of summer. A lovely pub that locals seem to use quite a bit as well. The evening pub food was lovely but you need to make sure you book a table as it does get busy, even out of season. Good selection on the breakfast menu which was also delicious.

If you just wanted a drink and not eat, you probably won't get a seat.
