My wife had a heart attack this time last year and this was the first time we have been able to get a holiday and we decided to visit Weymouth and I came across The Mayfair and asked them if it was possible for us to get a room on the first floor so to make it easy for her and they did the properters was really nice and helpful, it was very nice and clean, comfortable and the breakfast we really enjoyed ( and the home baked cake which was put out daily, the distance from the station was a very short walk the beach just across the road at the end of it my wife really enjoyed our stay would easy stay again.

Amazing quality breakfast everything you could think off, lots of choice, even if you didn’t want a cooked breakfast, you would still leave full. Hosts where very approachable, and knowledgeable of the area and up to date topics. We loved the fact we could sit in the lounge area, the bonus was with a cup of tea and a slice or two of homemade cake, this was great as the weather was wet. Overall - would we stay here again - YES, would we recommend - YES. Xx

The Mayfair exceeded my expectations. It had been redone and is modern and extremely comfortable. It felt like being at home after a classy remodeling. The toiletries, linens etc were all high end. We had a choice of coffee, tea and homemade cakes during the day. Claire our host thought of everything. She even offered and did our laundry while we were there. She is an exceptional host. I would definitely recommend The Mayfair to my friends. Parking was no issue and we were able to get around easily. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice Thanks Claire.

There was nothing that could have been better. It was perfect.

Excellent choice of breakfasts that you could help yourself, (cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt) too as well as Full English. Excellent service throughout our stay, with good hearted banter at breakfast. Short walk from train station (less than 5 mins). Our hosts also gave recommendations for places to visit for days out and places to eat.

Weather could have been a bit better as it was somewhat windy and wet for 2 days, but when the sun came out it was absolutely lovely. Also some of the seafront tea bars were closed for the winter or only open for a short while.

A fabulous greeting at reception from Andrew and Clare. Andrew handled my suitcase. My room had a wonderful sea view, the incredible Victorian Clock Tower adjacent to me. Nice choice of toiletries, bottle of fresh water daily. Room cleaned and stocked up daily. Clare's breakfasts were fantastic, so hearty. Such a huge choice of cereals, fruits and yogurts, followed by full English. Andrew kept an eye on me for enjoying the papaya! Even small scissors to open the sauce sachets. The residents lounge catered for everything, even a fridge for stocking a couple of beers. Clare's daily home made cakes were amazing, Dorset apple, blueberry, Victoria sponge, lemon drizzle, all yummy, yummy !! Andrew and Clare's hosting was so professional, many recommendations given. They are truly above and beyond! A wonderful hug from Clare when I left.

All of the extras provided by the host. Daily supply of tea and coffee plus biscuits in room, fresh milk on the fridge or use of guests and delicious home made cakes for guests every afternoon. Towels for the beach provided, plus folding deckchairs and wind breaks. Lovely breakfast to start the day.

Nothing that can be altered, but the 49 steps up to the top floor bedroom was a bit tiring - however the sea view from the room made it worthwhile!

Claire and Andrew are the most welcoming people you would wish to meet, they look after you every need and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are very well kept with Clean Fluffy Towels and pure white bed linen. The breakfast was Excellent with Multiple Fresh and Dried Fruits available with Cereal's and a wonderful cooked Full English Breakfast Cooked to order Exactly how you like it ( Claire was a Pro Chef ) Claire also makes her own cakes and an afternoon Tea with Homemade cake is also available. You Cannot find fault with anything at the Mayfair and would Highly Recommend as Lovely Place to stay at the heart of Weymouth. 10/10 Well Done Claire & Andrew Faultless.

Andrew and Claire, the owners, were excellent since the beginning. After travelling all the way from London in a winter Sunday evening, I had a warm reception at the Mayfair front door. There were cakes and fruits, and Andrew even prepared me a delicious sandwich after learning that the nearby restaurants were already closed. The house is cozy and the rooms very confortable. I got an amazing sea view from the 2nd floor. The full English breakfast was superb!! Totally recommend this charming B&B.

Everything was perfect!

Great location and a warm welcome. The rooms are homely, comfortable, spacious, and sparkling clean. The breakfast is fantastic. The atmosphere is more like home than a B&B. Stayed here to visit Tank Fest, and hike sections of the South West Coast Path; in particular Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. Thank you, Clare and Andrew, thoroughly recommended :)

A small fridge in the room to keep water and other beverages chilled would have been a nice touch. To my understanding fridges in B&B in UK is not common practice and can basically only be found in 4- or 5-star hotels with minibars. So, a B&B room without a fridge seems to be the norm in the UK. Guests are allowed to store bottles in the communal fridge in the breakfast room.

Clare and Andrew are wonderful hosts who made me feel right at home. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable, even providing electric fans for my room. Delicious breakfast with so much choice, and I really appreciated the snack bar and tea and cake which you can help yourself to at any time. Thank you, I had a lovely time and hope to return one day.

The only slight issue was the noise of the traffic in my bedroom as I was at the front, but Clare and Andrew gave me an electric fan which blocked out the noise at night. Apparently the rooms at the back are much quieter so that’s good to know.
