Decent sized rooms, great breakfast. The whole place is a bit tired and could do with a repaint, but it's survived 2 years of lockdown and the price reflects what's on offer. Despite the fact that many of the wedding guests were staying at the hotel we weren't disturbed at all given they must've got to bed a lot later than us.

The hotel had weddings booked for both nights of our stay but didn't tell us until we arrived. On the first night we were told we had to use a separate room as the restaurant which was a bit weird because it was obviously a large function room that had a few tables and chairs set out in it. When we sat down the other guests seemed a bit grumpy, and we soon found out why. Even though our order was taken quickly the time taken to get each course was incredibly long - we waited so long for any member fo staff to appear to ask us about dessert that we gave up. The second night of our stay we ate somewhere else.

Enjoyed a room upgrade which was lovely but have no idea what the other rooms would have been like. The bathroom was outstanding. Fortunate to stay on a Wednesday to take advantage of a £10 carvery, great value for money! Buffet breakfast at £10 also great value. Friendly staff always makes or breaks a stay. Couldn't really find fault with anything but wasn't looking to in any case. All reviews are personal opinions based on personal experience. if nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all!!

I liked the restaurant, the food was great. We are vegetarians and there were a few options for us. The staff were very helpful and made a big effort for my husband as it was his birthday. The breakfast was nice, there is a cooked and continental selection. The room was warm and the bathroom a good size and clean.

When in our room, the upstairs floorboards were very squeaky and loud, and you could hear every step. I would suggest adding a vegetarian/vegan sausage on the breakfast.

The grounds to the hotel and downstairs decor was lovely - modern and clean. Plenty of parking too.

Breakfast was a nightmare. There were lots of people waiting for food to come out, staff standing by idly watching the food running out and not going to order more. The island in the dining room appeared to be poorly organised. Glasses by the coffee station and butter on the wrong side too. Just the little things. The food was good once it was available. We booked two double rooms. Both double bed has very poor mattresses, a spring gone in one (room 204) and thin, with no depth or firmness (203). Having air con in the rooms was tough as it was hot outside too. Thankfully there was a fan.

Restaurant and bar area was recently refurbished, very nicely. Good-sized car park. Service was polite, clear and efficient. Room was clean and recently refurbished. Bed was comfortable. A very pleasant stay overall.

On arrival, the radiator in the room was noisy until the thermostat kicked in (45min). Noise between rooms, due to lack of insulation or thin walls.

I was anxious after reading some bad reviews but my husband, toddler and I had a great stay. The staff were all wonderful, very friendly and informative. The location was good for us as we were visiting family close by. Our room was clean, had everything we needed and the bathroom looked quite new. The carpet was a bit dated but there was no signs of mould or damp or anything else I had read about. We would be happy to stay here again.

Good size with comfortable super king bed and a single bed; pillows weren’t great but they were ok; enough hangers for an overnight stay. Complimentary teas/coffees/water

2 chairs, not just one. No single bed but an additional bedside cabinet. USB sockets. Bath had black mould at tap end and the jets of the whirlpool were not clean

The bar and restaurant areas are appealing. Staff efficient and helpful, especially Andrew! Reasonable range of food options. Our room was fine with comfortable beds.

Everything was mostly fine. If we were to mention anything at all it would be that the toast was cold & we felt it would be better freshly made by the guests via a small machine on the food bar. But it’s a minor thing & only suggesting it as an improvement. Thank you.

Great location a short drive from Wrexham. Lots of parking. Very warm welcome from the staff team, and the same throughout our stay. Restaurant and bar area beautifully presented. Breakfast superb.

Our rooms were still to be refurbished, so were a little outdated, but spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and everything worked.

Everything is just like new,room and toilet very clean. Im glad didn’t believe on some reviews before booking the place. Will/have already started recommending to my colleagues.

The staff in the reception need a bit of an effort or improvement in customer service. But probably they were just busy somewhere else due to ongoing improvements on site from what i have heard.
