We ordered a traditional breakfast from the menu, since the buffet was not available on the morning we were there. It was tasty, and the staff was very friendly.

One of the dryers accepted my laundry token, but the dryer didn’t start when I pressed the button. As a result, I combined two loads of clothes into one dryer, and then I put all the clothes through two dryer cycles. I later reported the issue to the front desk.

kitchen, close to grocery stores, easy access to public busses

All employees at the front desk were helpful except one whose attitude was stand offish projecting an aura we were bothering her rather than presenting a helpful demeanor. The restaurant was expensive so having a kitchenette was budget saving.

This was a lifetime trip to see the northern lights, and for the first time in decades, I was travelling alone. Sophie Station was a great choice. The suite was terrific, the staff lovely and helpful, and most important, I felt safe and secure. I highly recommend!

The staff are very friendly, rooms are spacious, hotel restaurant is good.

Internet is a bit slow; things are old, e.g. there's some noise from somewhere (heating?) every so often, I got waken up by that 2-3 times out of 4 nights; also, you need to wash all the dishes or cups used, otherwise penalty will apply, I hope they can handle that without asking customers washing them.

The rooms were perfectly sized, loved the living room area and the kitchen which even included a toaster, stove and oven. The counter with bar stools was great for socializing. The bathroom was really well organized with the shower and toilet separate from the sink and dressing area. Plenty of counter space also. Zach's Express was excellent!

Shuttle from airport was great. Walking distance to supermarket. We stocked up at Fred Meyers. The hotel restaurant food was very good. Convenient after a long day of traveling.

Spacious one bedroom and separate living space. Kitchen with microwave, fridge and stove. On-site restaurant with good food. Close to airport and grocery stores.

The bed is very soft, not comfortable for sleeping. And the cover is just a thin blanket. I wish some real comforter would be used for winter.

Staff was great and had everything needed to accommodate my food allergies with a kitchen I could prepare my own food. Was quieter than expected so slept well.

Asked for no smoking, was given a room that had smoker(s) in. We were given fabreeze to help. We aired it all day and night and last night was no smell of cigarettes. Also the drain in bathroom sink when left opened smelled like mold. Staff helped best they could.. That was room 128 in Fairbanks on University.

It is an older facility but is usually very clean and as comfortable as it can be. The employees are amazing - location is perfect - i love staying at Sophie's

waitresses at both restaurants were great and friendly especially Christine.

some front desk personnel need training in customer service. They were not too informative and seemed indifferent. we learned everything about the hotel and environ from Christine at Zach’s.
