This is the most exceptional Resort with a very traditional Tucson feel the staff is beyond excellent and attentive the only place that I will stay moving forward. Everyone of the staff members was excellent to work with and extremely professional words can't is describe how comfortable professional and beautiful everything was. So pleased to see every staff member so smiley and willing to help and accommodate in any way. The property was absolutely stunning and the Landscaping was perfect. I also enjoyed seeing how all the staff members interacted with each other from the way that they all greeted each to making sure they were helping each other out and asking each other what they could do to help one another during a rush that I witnessed in the dining room.

Beautiful grounds immaculately maintained. Service providers were informed, courteous and professional. The breakfast menu had many excellent options including Gluten Free options. The room was spacious and perfectly maintained. Good location meant excellent hiking and even a bit of shopping. Also good proximity to Tesla supercharging stations.

We did not love the soft bed. We also did not love the proximity of the road to the room, especially as the sliding glass doors of the room face the well-walked road. The hotel had not quite completed the EV charging stations during our visit. This was not a problem as the supercharger stations were nearby.

Hacienda del Sol was absolutely a dream and far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the king room with mountain view and I highly recommend it. It was beyond spacious and the bed was super super comfortable. We loved the extra large bathroom and separate sinks, and huge walk in shower. Great water pressure, nice and hot. The little patio was awesome to look out at the mountains and woodpeckers and birds. We had delicious meals for breakfast and dinner. I also had a CBD massage which was so relaxing. The property itself was so peaceful and endless little spots to chill. Also loved the complimentary coffee near the library. What a property! Wow.

breakfast service a little slow

Every staff member we encountered was exceptional in attitude and knowledge of the facilities available. Special shout out to Larry in valet for his patience and friendly demeanor. Loved the Casita style room and shower. We are natives of Tucson of 53 years and came back for a visit. Very important for guests to understand the atmosphere and upscale style are NOT how most of Tucson is. Hacienda Del Sol represents 10% of the economic and social class of Tucson. Foothills life is wonderful!

Cashier in guest shop had problems with receipt tape, and using fingers due to excessively long curved 2 inch acrylic nails Interfered with performance and took forever to ring up items.

Breakfast was excellent although not included in the base hotel price. We stayed in the older part of the resort in a room featuring 1920s Spanish architecture and furnishings which we liked a lot but maybe other guests would not. Dinner was also excellent but did require reservations.. Made use of their warm water pool even though temperatures were in the 60s and low 70s. The grounds were lovely rife with the local vegetation including the giant Surgaro cactus. The staff was generally friendly and helpful.

A few picky things. No ice machine nearby. Housekeeping stocked only one toilet roll. Toilet seat was broken but went unnoticed by housekeeping. Partly our fault since we didn't report it. Bar was rather small and dark, off to the side in an area full of desert splendor. Needed a view.

The landscaping was the best part of the facility. It reminded me of my families Hacienda when I was a child. Specially the libary was a bonus to drink your morning coffee and do research on what activities I wanted to do during the day. The views of the mountain range are inspiration for a piece of art. Will like to stay here again. The price during the weekend was a little pricy for me but it was worth it.

When you travel laundry service is always a bonus. I did not find the restaurant for breakfast but did not look very hard. Complementary coffee was a great.

Great breakfast and dinner in the Grill. All staff were helpful and seemed to like their job. Loved the charm, the lighting and the tiles in the bathroom. Wonderful inn!

Great historic room but we were cold during the night. The bed needed more than a thin blanket. The heater did not really warm the room very well.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Great design, relaxing, calming, easy to focus on work while needed and then relax when finished for the day. Pools were great. Tucson in January can be chilly, but still got some sun and enjoyed the heated pools. Happy hour was good, nothing overly special to write home about it, but the restaurant in general was fantastic. Regular dinner was amazing. Venue space was fun for a hotel. I only notate the happy hour because it didn't seem like any motivating factor or huge deal (maybe a couple bucks off an app or a dollar off a pint), so the HH special didn't really entice me any more than when I saw the regular dinner menu and heard the recommendations already did on their own. Great food. Cozy but lively space and seating. Staff were beyond friendly and helpful. They made me feel special and well taken care of every minute of my trip. Coffee in the lobby in the morning was appreciated and delicious. People underestimate a solidly top notch cup of coffee in the morning, especially one that doesn't involve commutes, waiting in line, or $6+ price tags. It was great! The ammenities were great too. Love the soaps bath products, and the bottle water was a plus, especially in the desert. Views from the room were also gorgeous and memorable, to say the least. I look forward to returning again, and I most definitely will.

This was our second stay at Hacienda del Sol and I look forward to many more visits! Room was beautiful (Sonoran king) and the views from our balcony absolutely stunning! Our stay felt so personal because of the friendly and super helpful staff. Room was spotless and daily cleaning service excellent. Great breakfast in a charming setting. Also, did I mention the views? Not only spectacular mountains in the distance but also we had a nature show each evening right off our balcony.. saw a woodpecker nesting in a Saguaro, a cute bunny nibbling grass at sunset, a road runner cruising by and javelinas gambling across the golf course!

Everything was perfect!

The room was lovely with high ceilings and a nice patio. The king bed was very comfortable and enjoyed the décor throughout the resort. They have three pools and all were very nice. The rosemary cookies upon arrival was a nice touch.

I know that the resort is set in the Catalina Foothills and surrounded by nature, but there were these little brown bugs outside our front door that I could have done without - but nothing was inside the room which was great.
