The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was great and quickly responded to our needs. Rodney, the maintenance tech, solved some problems with our television. He and I had a long conversation, and I found him to be a very interesting man with a fascinating history. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water with clean towels. The Westerner is a centrally located motel which makes walking to a grocery store, restaurant or a coffee shop (Brewed Awakenings) very easy. The area is safe and quiet with the local police department located just across the street.
The rooms are obviously older and spartan. The refrigerator that was in the room could be bigger with a larger freezer. We brought snacks that needed to be kept cold. An ice machine at the main office would also be an excellent addition.

All the area
A great place to stay if you are not picky. A little rustic but felt like home. Very quiet. Trains past thru the day and night blowing their whistles but not to loud. Enjoyed my 2 weeks stay. Also all conveniences are walking distance and the folklore of the 40s 50s 60s Is every where along the main drag of the old highway of route 66. The hole town is like the movie back to the future. Even cars of that area parked along the main street to give that bygone area. If you are ever passing through Williams Arizona on interstate 40 .take a break and drive through town on the mother road of route 66. I promise you. You want be disappointed Roy. Las Vegas PS I am coming back soon to live in the area. Bought land 25 miles north of town. To spend the rest of my retirement years.

Very friendly staff, she told us everything about how to get around in the grand canyon and surroundings, which was very helpful. We had room service, although we just stayed for 2 nights. It was clean and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. The town is very nice and there is a supermarket close by. We would stay there again.

Room was aged but clean, bed was quite comfortable , location is fantastic within walking distance of everything , good value for money, manager was lovely, very helpful, cleaning staff were friendly.
Arizona can be dusty, so floors get grubby quickly, strange I know but wouldn’t mind a mop in the room so I could mop the floor.

It was just right for the money..adorable and right in town we walked to everything. I like a firm bed, my would have preferred softer. The female manager on duty was super friendly and accommodating.
I didn't like having to get on a stool to climb on the bathroom counter to turn the air conditioner on and off I'm only 5 ft so that was an ordeal. Otherwise we really didn't have any problems considering the affordable cost of the hotel.

Very polite and helpful reception staff. Even though the motel is located in the center of the town, between two main streets, it is quiet and peaceful. Definitely clean. Close to good restaurants, I especially recommend Pine Country - nice, tasty and relatively cheap. Stable and fast enough internet connection. Comfortable beds.

Miss Barbara is awesome. Prior to staying, I toured many motels and hotels for comfort, and Miss Barbara's attitude was impeccable. She's so down to earth, and she's the reason we decided to stay and the reason we'll stay again in the future..
How close it was to everything and walking distance for most dining...

Good location, clean room, bed reasonably comfortable.
Frequent train passing (very loud), no deadbolt on room door, paper thin walls, room was very cold on some nights (it didn’t seem like we had control of the thermostat - the room got down to about 60F according to my keychain thermometer even though the thermostat was set to 70)

The convenience to stores and restaurants.
The bed was squeeky and air conditioner was loud. Although the room was cleaned while we were gone, they did not replace the towels we had used.

From what I remember the room was clean and the location was quite good although on a fairly busy street.
If I remember correctly, the constant fan button was broken on the heater/AC unit which hampered eliminating road traffic noise.
