The location was great! We were close to town which was great 👍

Our room was small but I blame my husband because he didn't want to upgrade when we had the chance.

Lovely hotel in great location in Carmel. Very comfortable beds, friendly staff, spacious rooms, and ample parking spaces. We personally loved the free cookies and hot drinks at the hotel reception - a real highlight of our stay! Also enjoyed the bath robes. Hotel is about 12 minutes walk from the beach - some slight uphill on your way back up afterwards, but good exercise! Recommend getting a sandwich from Bruno's Deli counter for a less expensive but delicious meal while staying in Carmel

The coffee from the machine in our bedroom wasn't to our taste, but this was no problem as we just had the free coffee from reception instead. Thanks again!

I really liked that I could book a room for one night on the weekend (Fri). Many hotels require a 2 night stay. Great location and room was very comfortable. I will return.

When I returned late on Friday night there was only one parking spot available and I barely could squeeze in because the car next to me was a little over the line. I was rubbing the bushes on one side and I barely could get out of my car to get to my room. Its probably nothing that management could have done to help with that situation.

We were welcomed with great service, cookies, and supplies for our dog. The king-size room with fireplace and hot tub was spacious and yet cozy. The soundscape being on when we entered the room added to the peaceful, welcoming vibe. The bed was comfortable and the space was clean. Svendsgaard's Inn provided us with a list of partner restaurants that allowed us to easily pick a dog-friendly place to go for dinner. The great location allowed for walks into Carmel-by-the-Sea and to the beach. Overall, we would highly recommend as one of the more affordable dog friendly accommodations in the area.

This place was perfect for a little getaway. We brought our fuzzy munchkin, and we were all very comfortable. The bed was amazing and the staff was super friendly and polite. Our coffee machine had an issue, and a casual mention to the front desk was met with offering us a new machine. The pool is on the small side but I was the only one in it and felt like a queen! Also, the pool was nice and warm- perfect for a cold day.. I don't think it's heated, I might have just got lucky with the temperature. The room is bigger than standard hotel rooms, nice clean bathroom and they have parking. In addition, the location is ideal for being in the center of it all.

The place is on the older side, but there is nothing to warrant an issue. It is apparent that they maintain the building regularly. I liked my stay here.

A hotel that allows pets! There is an additional daily pet fee during your stay. As you already know, Carmel is very pet/dog friendly. We went there with our pup over the 4th of July weekend. There are NO fireworks in Carmel - exactly what we wanted to keep our dog calm and relaxed. Our hotel room was spacious to move around and fit in a dog bed. The Dutch double doors were unexpected and unique (something we have never seen in our many years of travel). The Carmel weather was cool and fantastics escape from the summer heat. We did not use the jets in the large bathtubs. We loved that there was a microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee. As everyone is raving about, it is always nice to come back in the afternoon to freshly baked cookies (chocolate chip, double chocolate, and oatmeal were the ones we got to try). The location is unbeatable. It's in a quiet part of town, but walk two blocks to the Main Street (Ocean Ave) to the shops and about a 10-block downhill walk to the beach. We never moved our car from the parking lot because we walked everywhere. We also rented bikes to ride along the hwy 8 and 17 Mile drive (if you ride in bikes, you don't pay the entrance fee that are charged to cars). The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful!

Nothing. Well, maybe that we had to leave at the end of our vacation and head back home. We would like to come back!

The staff were very helpful, when we arrived earlier than the check in time. One of the ladies came back and said they were working on our room. We waited for approximately 15 minutes and it was ready. The suite was perfect and it was close to the restaurant we had reservations at. Overall I would definitely go back the this hotel. The parking was extremely easy and we saw a lot of hotels while walking around and they had no parking right by their doors.

I have nothing bad to say except maybe the front room could have use a ceiling fan so it can cool off easier. We just left the door open for a few minutes and that helped. The bedroom had windows and a ceiling fan and it was prefect for sleeping.

Fantastic location, right in the heart of Carmel - everything close by. Well appointed property had everything we needed. Fresh baked cookies at reception a nice bonus! Beds comfortable and spacious room.

Would have been convenient to have a breakfast option but not a major issue as there are plenty of places nearby to eat. Kitchenette limited but sufficient to prep basics (not for cooking a meal).

Have stayed here for 2 nights every July the past 10 years. Lovely inn that is well maintained in Carmel. Beautiful rooms Love the swimming pool. Miss the breakfasts that we're delivered to your door in a cooler, would love to see those come back. Thanks!

Staff were friendly and really helpful. Great to have free coffee, cookies and water available at reception - an easy, quick way to start the day before you find somewhere for breakfast! We had a pet frendly room which was larger I think than some others and on a corner, so windows on 2 walls and private as it was raised up from the street. The bed was super comfy and the room had everything you would need in it. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Would also recommend the pub across the road - Brophys Tavern - great food and drink.
