We absolutely loved our stay at Le Petit Pali! The location is perfect, and the style of the hotel, with its beautifully restored building, left us in awe. The preservation of original features, especially the windows, was just stunning. We stayed in room #18, which felt like the liveliest and most charming space in the entire Inn, with its high ceilings and trusses adding so much character. The champagne breakfast was delightful, as were the warm cookies delivered to your room daily at the time you requested. The décor, like in all Palisociety properties, is impeccable. We especially loved the Marshall speakers, Nespresso machines, cozy Pendleton blankets and hot water bottles, luxurious Diptyque amenities, and complimentary Antipodes water. The bicycles available for use are a lovely touch as well.

The only thing to keep in mind is the parking, which is small and doesn’t have enough spaces for all guests. Arriving later in the evening could mean not finding a spot, which might be inconvenient.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to around the property. A few minutes after we settled in our room, there was a knock on our door and a staff member delivered a delicious fresh chocolate chip cookie for each of us, served on a lovely plate (this tradition happened every evening)! The room took our breath away with a “Country French” theme and well thought-out details of our room. It felt like a warm hug after the hustle and bustle of the day. Breakfast was served each morning in the main lobby, with tables inside and outside. Breakfast included fresh pastries from a local bakery, soft boiled eggs and a variety of fresh fruit, served with coffee, tea and juices. Also, if you have a disability, we were impressed that our “handicapped parking space was right in front of our ground floor room for easy unloading.

I can’t think of anything!

Although there was negative issues we would still recommend the hotel to guests. Lovely decorated rooms with good quality linen, towels & toiletries. Convienently located near to all amenities as well as 17 Mile Drive. The person planning all the extras for the room planned it very well.

Room was supposed to be serviced every day, after requesting service from front desk, promised was made but cleaner didn't pitched. Breakfast not Continental, rather not atvertise breakfast included as some guests can't eat on their lap nor tolerate gluten. We received note after "breakfast" that it was "Complimentary" BUT on booking.com it was included in the price. Nice to put "Oat Milk" in fridge at extra cost BUT once again Oats contain gluten give guest alternative option.

The hotel is decorated wonderfully, they have thought of everything. I loved all the little perks like cookies delivered to your room and dessert at a restaurant close by but we didn’t know it was offered so arrived too late to appreciate that. The breakfast was the best I’ve had anywhere! Love that they have parking for everyone.

This is a redo of an old motel. The walls and floors are thin so it was very noisy. I would would have known I would have asked for the top floor as visitors came late and had a shower and walked over wood floor til midnight! Also the bed looks wonderful but mattress needs to be replaced as they have grooves in it and the white bedding is beautiful looking but the material is hard and makes a loud rustling when moving. There is no heater only the fireplace which heats up so fast you roast. And no heat in bathroom so very cold taking shower as water does not get hot.

We’ve always had sub par experiences with any hotel we’ve stayed at in Carmel. This place is a beacon of hope. Loved the charm, cleanness, and comfortable bed, cookies, and attention to detail. I don’t think I’ve ever been to any hotel that has blow dryer and straightens iron. The attention to detail really separates this place from the rest.

There was a bit of noise coming from a dog that was left alone in one of the rooms. Not the hotel fault, but the people who left the pooch alone should have taken their dog with them.

Attention to details, some design touches, amenities in the lobby and the room. The buffet breakfast services was good, bread was good. Free bicycles was nice but the staffs didn’t let us know until we discovered when we checked out. The location is unbeatable.

The room size is actually a bit small. It is a motel renovated nicely with details. I paid about 220$ on a weekdays plus a surprise “resort amenities fee” of 42$, during high season or weekend they may charge double, there are actually a Comfort Inn right next to it which charge 25% less if you don’t need their design touches.

I honestly loved everything about this hotel. I loved the location, the pink bubbles at check in, the cookies by my bed every night, the blow dryer/flat iron in the room, the mini fridge contents, the patio was amazing, breakfast was fantastic, the bar options in the evening were great, the bathroom amenities were excellent, liked the overhead fan to move air, parking was easy. I stay in hotels 250 nights/year and I've never had a better experience. I've never used the shampoo in the shower in a hotel and the bath products were incredible. There was a market bag in the closet to use that I liked so much I bought it. Last item, there was a nespresso espresso machine with pods in the room, it was the best room coffee I've had. Beds were comfy, rooms were stylish, LOVED my stay, hated to leave.

I could hear people chatting outside my room at night and in the morning and could hear the room above me.. Which is also expected.. Parking spots are tight, wouldn't come with a large suv.

What an exceptional property and staff! The location was perfect and the shared spaces were lovely to bask in the beauty of Carmel. The real highlight of our visit was the staff! Diane with the special events, Orlando and Enrique on check in were phenomenal 👏👏👏 loved the vibe and warmth of the staff most of all. Thank you to these individuals for making our stay extra special! Will be staying here again for sure.

Fab breakfast and they also provide freshly baked cookies in your room every day. Staff were friendly and the free bikes were a bonus. The weekly farmers market is right beside the hotel as well.

The terrace is right beside a main road so although it’s decorated beautifully and in a perfect sun trap it doesn’t feel super tranquil - perhaps more hedges could be planted? Also quite expensive but I guess Carmel prices are generally high

Very nice little hotel in the middle of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Very nicely decorated and furnished. The location is perfect - just about 10-15 mins’ drive from Monterey’s attractions. The 17-mile Drive is a short drive away as well. Less than 10 mins drive away heading south is the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve where you can do easy hikes overlooking the California coast. Parking at the hotel is very convenient as the lots are just outside the rooms. There are restaurants and markets within walking distance as well.

Space for breakfast is relatively small.
