I liked that there was a coffee shop on site and that guests received 40% off...that was a huge bonus with not having a breakfast. I was able to grab quick snacks like yogurt for the kids and coffee for us. The rooms felt new and clean! I thought they were so cute! The beds were the best beds we've been in at a hotel in a LONG time which is just great to see they spent some money on that and not just the looks. I was bummed at first to be a bit further out of San Diego but it was SO nice to be out where you could see the water and there was a lovely walking trail we took with the kids! They even had free bikes to use and scooters for kids but we had a little one too so we couldn't do it, but so great for older kids!

You could tell the bathrooms weren't as updated and don't love that there was a casino right there but everything else was great and still felt safe. There was no fridge in the room which I guess I just used to but I can see why with the price we paid. We survived without it!

I travel with a certain frequency between Mexico and the USA. Many times my schedule is conducive to staying in San Diego/ Chula Vista area. This hotel is going on my list as a trusted place to stay. Clean and renovated rooms. Stylish, fun vibe. Super comfortable beds, and tall, nice pillows. Great location, walking distance to public transportation. Also close to freeways, and yet perfectly quiet.

Tried going to their cafe/ convenience mart in the evening but found it closed. Nothing that can’t be solved by delivery.

Here from UK and travelling the SW. This is by far the best hotel/motel we've stayed in so far. We even booked an extra night. Pool is great, room is great, staff are all great. No in room coffee/tea facilities but the onsight coffee shop makes better than I do so def can't complain + get discount as a resident. Cannot recommend this place enough. If I lived nearer I'd be back in a shot. Great laid back vibes x

No downsides. Fridge might have been nice as staying a few days but didn't spoil the trip.

Cute, eclectic, fun atmosphere with a funky SoCal vibe, memory foam beds were comfortable and room overall was cozy. Simple diner with coffee & danishes part of establishment that offers discount to guest so that was nice. Outdoor area with pool, fire pit & games was great. Movie night on Saturday was a plus too!

No mini fridges in rooms so we couldn’t keep drinks cold (only small bucket for ice is provided). WiFi is TERRIBLE. It is offered but barely worked for us.

Everything was near by the motel . A gas station was less than 5 minutes away as well as fast food .

The only bad thing was the mattress was old you could feel it when you lay down on the bed. The tendons that would pass by speaking so loud and people pulling into the park lot bumping music.

The location near the interstate made it ideal for quickly getting around town. The room was cute and clean with very comfortable beds. The salt water pool was great and the lounge area and the rest of the motel was very clean!

Would have loved it if there was some drip coffee/tea just for guests. We waited 10 minutes in line for black coffee our first morning.

Room was big and very clean. And nicely decorated. Super friendly staff. No breakfast but nice coffeehouse where you can get discount if you are staying in the hotel. Free cruiser bikes for the day. Cycling from hotel to Coronado is feasible via South (25km one way on flat bike lanes). The surroundings seem sketchy but only 3mn walk from E Street Blue line trolley stop. Felt safe all the way. Nice sunset and seaview.

Exceptionally clean, very comfortable room. Nice fire pit at the pool area. Coffee shop was convenient, and especially nice to get 40% off as a hotel guest. Easy check in, on site parking. Close to freeway and Imperial Beach.

Did not like the music at the pool, continuous loop of 80s classic rock. Would have been nice to have something different after dark. Would also be nice if there were patio heaters at the outdoor seating at the coffee shop.

It was reasonably priced. The room was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay here again if I'm in the area.

The bathtub was slippery for an older person. If there was a bathmat or grabbar it would have been easier for a senior citizen to take a shower.

I loved the lite and airy feel of the place. Very cute and quirky in a good way. The coffee/breakfast spot connected to the hotel is pure genius!! Who wants to go out looking for a coffee or bite to eat before checking out.

The desk person was way too rigid and I had to speak to the manager about a matter. Nothing big but I guess there was no anonymity in making decisions.
