The property was nicely renovated and kept very clean. The coffee in our rom was good and we very much appreciated the free water. We chose the hotel because of the availability of self-laundry and were happy to find the facilities well-maintained, secure and clean.

Besides the cost (but that’s due to the area) there was only one issue and that was that as clean as the whole property was the vent in our bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. It’s less noticeable just looking at the ceiling, so easy to overlook, but from the tub it was a shock to see how much stuff had accumulated.

Tasty yet expensive.

Welcoming staff/ concierge was not so welcoming; saying I owed money for the stay when I did not, and did not look into it before ordering me to essentially do her job. I had a nine month child and was not afforded help unless asked. When I called the front desk from my room, I was immediately placed on hold for about 7 minutes, then was hung up on. I called back, and was immediately asked to be placed on hold again. I had to interrupt the front desk and say that I had a quick request. I was met with frustration while the front desk received my request for towels and toilet paper.

The hotel felt recently renovated, with a very clean and new room. Located at 5-10min drive from major Monterrey's attractions, being a solid alternative for a stop between SFO and LA.

My room was located in the first floor, near the main lobby and bar/restaurant, so I could hear other guests' chatting and partying over the night. Also, don't recall being previously advised about the paid parking, which they charge $20.

The room was nice quiet and kind of clean, except for the floor, there was plenty of parking, breakfast was okay, but it could have been better

The room floor needs to be cleaner, and elevator too, and I had never paid for parking at any hotel before ,the price for the room was a bit high for what it offered , breakfast wasn’t extravagant, we eat better at continental ,and paid extra for breakfast I thought it included, also I didn’t know all the taxes that the area charges ,next time I’m in the area I’ll do more research for maybe a different hotel

The location was perfect. Close enough to everything.

My only recommendation for anyone staying is to really ask questions when you check in. Apparently we were charged for breakfast without my consent or knowledge. They did refund but that's only because i noticed the fee for my pet and parking was a little high. Come to find out they added two breakfast charges for my husband and I. So make sure you ask to break down your bill.

Nice location, only a 20 minute walk to downtown Monterey. Facilities were clean, pool and hot tub nice, fire pit nice too. Breakfast was good(not included, but good)

Had to walk up stairs with luggage because no ramp or signage to get to lobby. Not sure how anyone handicap would get to lobby.

It was very close to the beach which made for great 15 minute walks to the beach.

Our refrigerator wasn’t working quite properly, not sure if it was user generated or the fridge had problems. It wasn’t turning on when we turned it and then when we turned it off and back on it froze everything.

Amenities, cleanliness, friendliness, decorated for the holidays

When we checked in, we were told of a water main break and told not to drink the water or brush our teeth with it, but they gave us plenty of bottled water at no extra charge, and it was fixed in a couple of days

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful and provided detailed information about the location.

Paying for parking. I didn't know it would be an additional cost. Also the price of the parking. $85 for 2 night. Wish it was free for one car

We loved location, restaurant and room. That they actually, heat their pools. Why, we do Hilton Hotels.

Just the lady checking us in. Mumbles. Heavy, tall black hair with bangs, shoulder length hair. No smile, hard to hear. I asked her for wine,.and snacks three times. She said, get it over there. Hard to hear and understand her. There needs to be a pleasant customer service training. Make guests feel welcome and not that we are putting her out. We did expect better gardens. Love places with flowers and better landscape. Does look outdated. Balcony of 300 not very nice. But I'd come again.
