For a 2-star motel in this area I was pleasantly surprised. Overall clean and comfortable. Vinyl wood floors (no carpet thankfully). Good water pressure and no issues with hot water. A/C worked well. Good windows shut out noise. There are complaints about pillows but I found them to be fine. Seems the city is cleaning up homeless encampments - there was only 1 guy camped out on the street. Neighborhood seemed “normal” for an urban area. Parking could be an issue, but wasn’t when I was there.

A few minor issues not worth noting.

The room was very much no thrills, which you should absolutely expect for the price point. The staff was very polite and accommodating. Shower had great pressure. You're right in the heart of the arts district which is a convenient location for tourists. If you just need a place to shower and rest, you can't go wrong with the value this property represents.

The beds and pillows left quite a lot to be desired, even at the price point. The walls were quite thin, to the point that you can hear people walking gently outside your room.

We arrived earlier than the check in time and ask if we can have our room and the staff said yes! It was a relief since were so tired after a long drive. The staff was nice and sweet! The room is ordinary but i tell of the things that are in there are functional and just they way it should be! I would like to ask for a microwave though! But overall we had a very good experience

Maybe the community outside, there were tents and stuff but we didnt encounter any uncomfortable circumstances.

I really love that the hotel was in minutes from Universal Studios. Our room was pretty decent. 1st floor. Had a jacuzzi. The room was big and comfortable for a family of 4. Slept really good. We love the taco stands nearby. Just perfect! We spend most of the day outside the room, just used to shower and sleep. It's a good area. At first, it seems scary but is not at all. Friendly staff.

It’s a great location to Universal Studios and other attractions. Loved that parking was included. The room was very clean, and quiet for the most part.

It’s just a little dated but I think improvements are being made. The surrounding neighborhood is okay.

The room was immaculate and spacious and having two comfortable beds was very nice. The check-in person was amiable and welcoming, she told us if we needed anything we should let her know. The housekeepers were on top of things and very pleasant, a real change from many places that have no daily housekeeping. I would definitely stay again when traveling in the area.

A few things. The curtain rods were broken but we were able to work around them. The a/c unit ran continuously and was hard to regulate for sleeping. I notified the clerk about those issues at checkout.

Location is close to universal Studios but what really made our stay comfortable was how clean the room smelled. That was a plus for me and they even replaced the towels the next day. Not a lot of hotels do that anymore. The front staff who checked us in was really nice and made us feel comfortable too. Great place and cost wise as well. We will be staying here again in the future.

Bathroom has a window and cold clean air from the A/C and twin size bed with king size bed.

No microwave no breakfast and odor comes out the bathroom vent when you turn the fan switch on in the bathroom. Luckily it’s a window in the bathroom to air it out when someone poop.

Comfortble beds, good shower, excellent wifi, clean and spacious rooms, great staff - they upgraded us to a bigger room with an extra bed because they saw we were 5 (4 adults + 1 child), while we ordered a room for 4. They were super! Everything there is highly comfortable and satisfying. Bathroom is very well facilitated. Very good AC. Highly recomended hotel.

It would have been better if they had more electrical sockets in the room, but it is managable. We haven't tried the breakfast so we can't tell.

My husband and I we stay there 2nights. The front desk he so friendly because he let us to check in early like 1hr early without paying extra charge which is free. It was safe because free parking and then very clean and spacious. And of course affordable and very near to universal studios.
