Petaluma is an awesome little city, with unexpected treasures and top notch restaurants. Perfectly situated on the edge of town is this gem of a hotel. If quirky, and unusual appeal to you, then this is the place. Run by an expat Parisian, the hotel is covered with unusual items that harken back to French simple culture. I loved the plastic Mother Goose lamps, and the many posters of French cartoons and advertisements. The breakfast of fresh crepes, and really good coffee and tea was a pleasant start to the day. The beds were comfortable. The grounds laid out in little gardens.

No elevator, so you lug your bags upstairs if that's where you are. Some rooms are small and sparse, but if you have traveled budget in Europe, that is typical.

Cute little hotel close to downtown Petaluma. The staff were exceptional and went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable. Room was clean & the bed was comfy. Included breakfast wasn’t a full spread of choices but was enough and was absolutely delicious.

Having bulky room keys to carry around was annoying, another bin in the room would’ve been useful as well as more comfortable seating. Better signage on the doors for the common areas & not having to walk out onto the Main Street to access the kitchen would both be bonuses as well. Only other con was that the pillows were incredibly soft and difficult to sleep on and they didn’t have any firmer ones when I asked.

We had one of the cottages and it was perfect for a stay of a couple of days with our 2 daughters. We enjoyed having 2 separate bedrooms and an extra room downstairs with the couch and the kitchen area. It's perfectly located next to downtown so you can walk anywhere you want. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I should also point that the design and decoration is very authentic and cute.

While the design is authentic and cute, it is also pretty old and creaks. The entry door had to be slammed to close and walking around usually generated a lot of creaking noise. We didn't mind it much but I thought it should be mentioned.

The Metro has a lot of character. The Metro girls who clean, prepare breakfast and look after the place do a fantastic job! The rest of the staff is also nice. The room was very clean, the mattress super comfortable, the bedroom was simple but more than enough for us. We were pleasantly surprised!

The windows could have blinds because of the light out all night and we caught the afternoon sun at bedtime (we had 3 hours east jet lag, so would go to bed early).

It really feels like Paris. Real Paris. If you backpacked through Europe 20 years ago but now you’re a professional who wants a private room and a comfortable bed, this place is it. It was love at first site and jasmine was a fabulous hostess. All around an amazing stay.

Kobe at the Front Office was a delight. Great energy! He handled my check in smoothly. The hotel is quaint. My room was away from the noise for the most part. My sheets were crisp and clean every night. The bed was cozy and comfortable. I was able to sleep well after a long day at the Strozzi Institute.

There was no real place for me to put garbage in my room like a finished meal and empty water bottle so I would go downstairs to throw out/recycle sort my trash nightly. I showered in my tub but I would have loved if they cleaned the tub daily. I tried to leave money for the cleaning person - I even got an envelope and put “thank you” on it but each night, I’d meet it in my room - untouched. I wanted the cleaning person to have it.

This place was so cute. It was clean, well kept and so unique. We stayed in an airstream. Although it was small, it was very comfortable and private. They offered bikes you could borrow to explore the area. We borrowed a tandem. The breakfast they served was the best ever, Homemade crepes. Delicious. My husband and I loved it!

Everything! Great location, extremely hospitable (even the kitties in their catio were welcoming!), “charming” seems like an insufficient platitude, but it truly is charming. Clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and ideally located. If I’d have had more time, I would have loved to stay longer!

Staff (desk dude) was excellent plus. Funky chic. A much welcomed break from corporate boredom. It was just fun to sit and look around the room. Good wifi. Good breakfast.

Duvets are a gift from the devil. Your choice = too hot or too cold. Think layers, folks. You don't put on a heavy down coat on a cool spring morning. Encourage you kitchen folks to open up a bit to guests. Nice people and good crepes. Don't hide behind the counter. You're likely dealing with people who travel a lot and enjoy different cultures. At least I do.

Very nice stay at the Metro Hotel. Really cool decorations and a super friendly staff. Had a very late checkin and they were very accommodating. Awesome breakfast too - the crepes are the real deal! A really fun and entertaining stay. Definitely Recommend.

Nothing! This hotel exceeded my expectations - especially for one that is on the cheaper side. Really nice.
