It is such a nice resort. Tucked away in the San Diego County hills. Very quiet and secluded. We stayed in a two-bedroom Villa. Spacious with a kitchen, living area, dining room and a large back patio. They also have a nice text messaging system to get immediate attention, if necessary.

Sadly the main bedroom restroom had a bad odor upon check in. They offered to move me to another room, but I declined, as I had already unloaded my luggage. The next morning, I used their text messaging system to let them know I was leaving and they were able to eliminate the odor. It was determined that the shower curtain needed to be replaced. Additionally, while the facility is very nice, it is dated and could use a bit of a upgrade. Furniture and carpeting, specifically.

Front desk agent was wonderful , very nice , ver my Personable , I’m sorry I forgot her name . Facility was great unfortunately it rained during my stay so I was unable to take advantage of all the amenities on the property , the room was beyond perfect and what we wanted , it has huge , very comfortable , and my only recommendation would be for maybe a housekeeping supervisor to double check the room for adequate cleaning and maybe a deep cleaning and a little bit of maintenance, again very small compared to overall experience. I also didn’t care for the “instructions on how to leave room” We had to load the dishwasher and run a cycle before we left , after being charged an $80 cleaning fee. Didn’t care for that at all.

The location is beautiful, the suite is very spacious, the space is clean and well cared for, we loved having a kitchenette, it was fun to be able to rent games from the front desk, the pool (especially the one near the courts) had a beautiful view; the lounge/billiard room off of the lobby is spacious and beautifully remodeled

It would have been great to be informed at the beginning that we could rent bikes for free; we only found out at the end of our stay when we didn't have time to rent them

I loved how spacious the room was. It was like having our own little apartment. The staff was friendly and the grounds were well maintained. While there were a few small things that weren't up to par... Overall this place is a really great value, with lots of space, and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

The patio had lots of spider webs on the patio furniture and a TON around a pipe or gutter drain that was on the side of the outside wall.. Plus there was a spider in the room by the front door. It seems to me like pest control probably should be a little more of a priority. Additionally one of the "clean" towels that was hanging in our bathroom when we arrived had make up smudges on it... So I am pretty sure it wasn't "clean". However, they had extra towels under the sink so luckily I was able to swap it out.

Our family spent a lot of time in the pool area. The swimming pool was spacious and clean, along with the jacuzzi that was cleaned and maintained at the right temperature every day we were there. The BBQ area was conveniently on hand to fire up meals. The Recreation area was also a hit for our family. We used the pickleball area to create lasting memories and laughter together while competing for our first annual pickleball tournament. We plan on coming back to Riviera Oaks Resort.... Thanks

The BBQ AREA wasn't a big deal, but needs to be mentioned. The cleaning supplies were conveniently offered, but the cleaning and scrubbing supplies needed to be refreshed. The cleaning rags were soiled and dirty. But we made do what we had to work with.

We stay here several times a year with our crew. Rooms are lovely, large, comfortable and clean. We appreciate the full kitchens and even basic dishware. We have never been disappointed and will continue staying here as needed.

The only complaint would be that parking is slightly limited. Sometimes there is no trouble finding nearby spots….other times it can take awhile to locate a spot.

I left my 80 year old mother in the room resting and she heard the door open and called out thinking it was me. A man answered by asking if she was a guest and supposed to be in there. When she said yes he left. A little disheartening when your employees enter rooms in the afternoon without cause.

All was fine. Everything was clean and comfortable. We checked in after 10pm and the young man who checked us in was so happy to see us and made us feel very welcome. Checked us in and then explained everything and then asked if we had any questions he could answer for us. He made a very long drive from St George, Utah seem worth it. I want him to be recognized for amazing service!!

I wish the pool had been a little warmer

the pools were great! heated and clean. the beds were nice and the room was clean and spacious. it was also really nice to have laundry right on site for free.

if I’m paying resort fees I expect things like the Wi-Fi to work. it would also have been nice to have breakfast on site since the closest place was over a mile away so either bring breakfast to make or be prepared to go into town. a restaurant in general would have been nice since Ramona was 12ish minutes away.

Everything was clean.

Curtain liners were torn. Not a biggy but could do with additional repair as there was already a repair made close by with some tape, some tile was chipped. Coffee maker was lacking filters. One that was there, was wrong kind for the machine. It worked but right kind would be nice.
