This is actually the only hotel I trust in salinas. I'm from the area so I know how it is around here. It's hot every where but by far this one is cool. I mean it's not on a safe area but I had a safe stay so idk. I stayed here for about 2 weeks and it was perfectly fine. My kids were noisy nobody complained the maids were extremely friendly. I can't complain the sheets where Clean keep in mind that prior to being here I had been in motel 6 which is infested in bed bugs. This one was clean It took me 2 days to get rid of them and i only stayed for a bit and thee amount of clothes I threw away my God.

I love everything just the area it's not the safest but I didn't have any problems at all. I just hate that it's located in A bad area of town. Some people just like to be in a quite safe place not everybody likes problems or likes to do the most..

when we checked in, the receptionist wasn’t the kindest to us, hardly said anything. we walk to our hotel & are unable to open it so we call the office & she rudely tells us we deactivated the keycard by putting it next to my phone. she definitely could’ve communicated better w us, we did not know that could happen. we also had neighbors bothering us almost our entire stay & the office didn’t do much other than tell them it was late since they were talking outside our room. they would knock every night on our door despite us telling them to stop.

I respect what they are, I'll give you respect and courtesy. If something's not right, they always will try to make it right with you and like that.

The only thing I don't think they do is that you know if they got all those rooms. I don't know why they'll make some be non. Spoken rooms subject sometimes sometimes it's cold outside and people wantna get-app-and-go outside for anything. So I don't know why they don't just don't make some of those rooms. Smoking rooms and some non-smoking rooms like the downstairs could be non. Smoking rooms and upstairs can be smoking rooms.

I want to make sure that management knows how lucky they are to have such a friendly and hardworking staff. My husband and I from the first day of check in had a positive and welcoming experience. Charmayne at the front counter is very helpful and patient with any issue we had. We were also fortunate to meet Mr. Augustine the maintenance man who was very friendly and polite. We noticed even on short staff days housekeepers were keeping busy and doing their best to make sure rooms were being taken care of. We will be back sooner than later and definitely let family and friends know that Super 8 is a dependable place to stay.

The only thing that could have made the stay better was if the pool was up and running, we did notice that it was being matienance and was assured by Mr. Agustine that the property was working on getting it up and going.

The place was functional but really quite nice. The breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee was better than just drinkable. A good place to stay. Would easily recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Monterey or Carmel but doesn't want to pay their prices or cannot find anything suitable.

When compared to similarly priced hotels in the area, this one is the nicest. You can walk right next door to Los Altos for some yummy Mexican food or about a block if In & Out Burger is your thing.

The breakfast is basically just bread, cereal, yogurt & juice. I usually just have coffee. The biggest down-side is the close proximity to the highway. It can get a bit noisy, but no worse than the other bargain hotels which are also right along the highway. At least you can walk right next door to Los Altos for some yummy Mexican food or about a block if In & Out Burger is your thing.

Your staff was exceptional! Helpful, patient, courteous, etc. I have no complaints. Whatever you are doing keep doing it. 🥰💐

The bathroom door is too close to knees when seated to use the toilet. I know there isn’t really anything you can do about that.

The room was great and clean also. Pretty much everything was perfect! It suited all of our needs. There were also plenty of clean towels and the refrigerator was a nice size.

The one thing I didn't like was that we had a do not disturb sign on our door and we were away they came in anyway. That's not a huge deal but I didn't like that.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. We requested to be roomed on the quieter side of the building because of heavy traffic and they satisfied that request. Our TV wasn't working and they immediately moved us into another room which worked. We enjoyed our short stay at Super 8.

Except for the TV problem, everything was great.

unit hairdryer doesn't work. So at breakfast, I requested another dryer. No maintenance till 9am. I suggested exchanging with another unit. Suggestion worked 😊 Made lots of points to make up for the limited breakfast offerings.
