I had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn in Salinas! My stay actually quite exceeded my expectations since I was looking for an inexpensive double bed suite for my mom, 99-yo grandma, and myself. From the checkin, I had a warm interaction with the person at the front desk. When I asked if there was room service, she offered to give me accommodations (blankets) on the spot (for my grandma) and directed us with helpful info about breakfast, services, etc. I don't know if that helpfulness is mandatory service but some hotels like Hilton that I stayed at the previous night don't provide that helpful info on the spot. When I got to my room, it was a bigger room than I expected, with spacious beds, good Wi-Fi and a Samsung TV with good channels. The bathroom was spacious too and the heater was great. The rooms looked spacious and high-quality, and renovated. Breakfast the next day was really great - they have a variety of breakfasty foods to offer. I recommend this stay for anyone visiting temp or a few days in Salinas!!

My son and I love the placed we stayed in. place is clean,neat, and breadfast is awesome, and stuffs are very nice

,problems are some other guestes,so one of a father was wearing a pair of jeans, it was like half way hanging on his butt,so his red underwear is half way exposed to the air,with his walking,finally the whole jean is off his butt,so everyboy at that morning who were having breadfast got a chance to see his red underweae. And i don't know if just my bad luck or what,I stayed in fot 2 nights,first night,babe next door was awaked aroung 4am,noice never stoped,as baby was very active since 4am. Another night was the babies on the top of our roof,they were running around,moving stuffs, even though we called the front dest 2 times in an hour,noice were never away, till 11 pm.we were in this very disturbing noice for more than 2 hours,

Everything about the property, staff, cleanliness, convenience location for family funeral we attended in the area very satisfied. I would choose this hotel again for any future visits. The breakfast was great!

I can’t think of anything that I did not like. I don’t want to just make up anything.

Recently remodeled it was very clean and pretty. The beds were so comfy it was great.

When I first got there they could not find my reservations because of some kind of techincal error it had been cancelled- they said something like when they ran $1.00 charge it did not go through so they canceled it- but I don't understand that? I was not notified, but they quickly redid it and had a room available. I still need to double check that I was not charged twice.

Room was large, clean, bathroom was large with dove shampoo and lotion. Liked cabinet in hallway with fridge, microwave. Shelf at door entrance nice touch. Blackout shades inside window frame for no light great idea. Also, no more blowing curtains while AC is running. Chase lounge great addition. Very comfy bed. All furniture is against one wall, which maximizes your space and functionally.

Room was great. recently renovated. But don't come looking for a fitness room (they don't have one)

I always work out when traveling. But in this case I went for an hour run, out side. No fault of the hotel, but the homeless issue in California is really bad. Specifically this hotel is in a bad area and it did not feel safe running in the area. Please bring back the fitness room!! Holiday Inn Express breakfast standard does not have much in the weigh of healthy options. It would be helpful, if rates are over $200 oer night to offer an upgraded option.

We just stopped for the night, we arrived late, eat breakfast - which was really nice and clean, and left in the morning. The room was comfortable, pretty large, clean and had enough beds for all of us.

it was right off the freeway and adjacent to an In-N-Out. there was a huge shopping center a couple minutes up the road with everything you’d need from tools to clothes to food. the lobby was nice and the staff were great.

there was construction going on at the time which is probably why my room was so cheap. they didn’t work at nights but their crew took the closest parking spaces.

The facility was very clean and quiet. The beds are newer and comfortable. The rooms offer use of a Keurig which is super easy to use as well as 24 hr coffee and tea in the lobby.

The pool isn’t finished but the room prices still reflect that if a property with a pool.

The location is conveniently off the freeway and the hotel is updated and clean. It's not far to the John Steinbeck Museum and Old Town Salinas. Also I appreciated the blackout shade and comfortable bed.

I would have liked to be able to open the window for fresh air.
