overall location was excellent. across the street from the Wedding Bowl, so most weekends there was always an event or two or three to view from the deck.

The unit was as clean as possible considering the difficulty of getting staff. the small fridge was iced up in the fridge part and some space was lost. Coffee cups were paper, individually wrapped. some good quality plastic cups glasses plates etc should be available upon request. we only found out on the last night that a microwave was available if we asked for it.

No breakfast included in the room. Location excellent near the ocean. Walking distance to waterfront was nice. So beautiful. Room was clean & pleasant. Shower worked well with strong enough water pressure & temperature control.

The Keurig coffee maker was completely broken in the room (it was broken before we came) & since the office hours were very limited, office was closed & we were stuck with the broken coffee maker which was truly annoying. The room was expensive so that felt inexcusable.

I have never gave a hotel 10 before and this wee place deserves more, it is honestly outstanding, picturesque is the word, room was huge, corner king room the view were outstanding, you could watch the sunset from your window.Tony the manager couldn't have been nicer. There were robes, a lovely coffee machine, a full-size fridge freezer and a very comfy bed, and a real gas fireplace. Plenty of parking and location is lovely, very quiet but walking distance to some lovely shops and restaurants, wish we had longer than 2 night here 😀.

This was our first visit to Scripps Inn and we have already booked at 2nd trip back. The room is large with all the amenities. The bathroom was large with double sinks. It's a very clean room. All rooms have a view of the beach, which is just across the street. Keep the windows open at night and you can hear the crashing of the waves. Alexis the girl at the front desk was very helpful, friendly and gave great suggestions on places to eat.

The parking in the front is cramped, but there is additional parking in the back.

Location in La Jolla could not be better. Unit 15 has a bench outside front door where you can view the ocean, waves, pelicans and people watch. The Inn and rooms are quaint and perfect for a couples weekend. Great walking area by the coastline with the village up the hill. This will become our go to spot when visiting the San Diego area!

More counter space/storage in bathroom for toiletries.

Everything about this property was excellent. We had an upstairs room, but a small Inn with only 14 rooms most likely all of them are wonderful. King bed was super comfortable, the room well laid out and felt very spacious. Bathroom as well, although I would have preferred more water pressure in the shower head, but that's water conservation! I could hear ever so softly someone speaking in the adjacent room one morning but thought hotel very quiet. Location, room, view, cleanliness, peaceful, friendly staff, Gary was very efficient and helpful. Wished there were a few more beach chairs to borrow. We swam every morning from nearby La Jolla Cove and enjoyed everything that La Jolla has to offer.

Cozy from a bygone era that resonated for us. At the cove and close to the beach with a great LaJolla vibe. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.

It’s well loved and ready for little upgrades. perhaps new shower head, upgraded bathroom and some TLC on squeak floorboards and bed foundation. Don’t let that dissuade you - it’s a great value and location - we will be back.

The room and the view were both exceptional

There was no one in the lobby when we arrived. We happened to come across a maid who contacted the desk clerk and was told that they had texted us a code for the room; which, we did not receive. In the end, everything worked out well.

Welcomed by very friendly staff who did the best to let me check in earlier. Beautiful airy room that had all what I needed. The ocean is just across the street and what I would call the center is a 15 minutes walk away.

The pipes seem pretty noisy and you hear people talking outside the room but it didn’t disturb me too much.

The location is tops, room was nice and up to date. I like having chairs outside my room and covered balcony area.

The insulation between the rooms didn’t seem so good. When I was in my bathroom I could hear the people in the next room talking like they were right next to me and so clearly I heard every word they were saying. I also didn’t like that you have to pay even more money extra for parking. Nobody is getting there by any other means except by car and the rooms are expensive enough. Lastly, the people in the office were a little bit sarcastic and I wasn’t happy with them. When I went to check out they said they would send me my bill by mail, which I don’t like. I would like it right then so I have a chance to look at it and question or comment. When I didn’t have the bill still five days later I had to email them and ask for it to be sent.
